Brocco on the Park

Wonderful boutique hotel. Ideal location next to the park. Have stayed twice and both rooms have been lovely with lots of character. All the staff we’ve spoken to are very friendly and helpful. Little touches like cake in your room and quality tea/ coffee making facilities make all the difference. Had the breakfast this morning and it was one of the best English breakfasts I’ve had in ages. We’ll definitely be staying again.

We were bringing our daughter back to Sheffield after Christmas and decided to stop overnight. I have always wanted to stay here so decided we would give it a try… we are so glad we did. Our room was lovely and relaxing with nice touches like luxurious toiletries, bathrobes and homemade cake. The staff are great - really friendly and helpful. It’s in a nice area as well with pubs and restaurants nearby and the lovely Endcliffe Park on the doorstep. Will definitely return for longer next time.

What an amazing hotel/restaurant!|From the minute we checked in we were made to feel welcome and the staff couldn’t do enough for us.|The room was immaculate, gorgeous bath in the room, huge quality bed but most of all the small |touches, cake in the room, complimentary drinks, gorgeous toiletries and super soft robes.|Breakfast served until 12pm, bar open 24hours! Everything has been thought about, to perfection!|The restaurant was as impressive as the hotel.|Excellent wine, gorgeous food and attentive staff. We ordered dessert late and the chef was just leaving, he cane back and made an exceptional effort with our dessert presentation, then left!! That is commitment.|I can’t recommend this hotel enough, we will definitely be back.

I stayed here last Thursday night. Arrived at 11pm and was checked in by Rodney no problem. Room was lovely on first glance, coffee machine, fresh milk and a piece of cake as a welcome but it was downhill from then on. The pigeon loft room has blinds which don’t keep out the light. The bar fridge is a nice touch but it woke me up when switching on so I ended up getting out of bed to unplug it. Then around 4am I was woken up by numerous doors banging. Then the bin men arrived with more banging and shouting. About 6:45 I turned on the shower to find there was no hot water and I had no central heating. This in January and it was snowing outside. I tried to call reception, no answer. Ended up having a freezing cold shower. Not what you expect when paying good money for a room and completely unacceptable. The lady on reception apologised and told me she had had to reset the boiler and to email Harry the manger which I did straight away. Three days later and he hasn’t bothered to reply or get in touch to explain what happened, apologise or offer any form of compensation. This was the third time I have stayed here and guess what, it’s the last! I’ll take my hard earned cash somewhere else and if you’re reading this, I suggest you do the same.

Went there for my sons birthday along with my elderly in-laws for what we thought would be a special birthday get together and breakfast. We arrived at 10:30 prompt as booked to find we were the only table in there, shortly after another table of four arrived making 11 people in total. The waitress was lovely and looked a little stressed as you could tell she was trying to deal with a drama in the kitchen, ordered coffees and breakfast around 10:45am, after waiting for another 45 minutes and no food we were told there was only one chef on, but there was still only 11 people in the restaurant as no other people had booked! We checked on the food to be told it would be here soon, after another 15 minutes of waiting went to see what was happening to see all of our food on the pass going cold, the other table informed me it had been sat there for quite a while, three dishes had hollandaise sauce which is not what anyone wants to see sat there and also a health risk, I was told it would be over soon, another ten minutes went by and it started to arrive, when I say it was cold it would be an understatement, the food was stone cold, we refused the whole meal and said we would leave, I really can’t fault the waitress she had no support from anyone there, there was no senior member of staff to talk to and no manager, The other table also left at this point, arrived at 10:30 left at 12:00, how can a restaurant not be capable for serving 7 breakfasts in 90 minutes is beyond me! We had travelled 40 minutes to get there and my in-laws also had to travel 30 minutes by taxi to get there to celebrate my son’s birthday, well done Brocco!! I certainly won’t be going back, should have realised when we were the only two bookings in there, The waitress is too good for that place she was absolutely lovely,

Christmas Day Dinner … well what can I say a 110% improvement on the year before. Yes despite being dissatisfied last year we went back. This time around everything was better, the food, the presentation, the atmosphere felt less rushed and the customer service outstanding. ALL IN ALL A FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. Thank you for making the day so special.

We stayed here over our wedding weekend as we were getting married locally. ||The hotel is beautiful with lovely rooms and nice touches such as homemade cake in the room and complimentary Prosecco in the bar for residents. ||The hotel were helpful in ensuring our florist, hair and make up got to the room ok in the morning, and made sure the hotel room was refreshed ready for us to come back to on our wedding night. Would highly recommend for a special occasion.

My friend and I chose the hotel as it is a halfway point to meet for us - I’m in the South she is in the North . ||We knew we could eat dinner at the Brocco and thus maximise our time without having to even leave the building if we didn’t want to . For me it was a return visit . ||We were not disappointed . Firstly we were able to check in early - a real bonus and delight after our respective long drives . Our rooms were lovely , Kevin the Dovecote , her in pigeon loft . Our dinner was nothing short of sublime, genuinely the best food I have eaten in forever , and I eat out a lot . Same for the breakfast . The receptionist was simply lovely, not just with us, just really lovely . I am already booked to return and I feel sure it will become a long held tradition for my friend and I to meet at Brocco on the park . |Thank you for a wonderfully perfect stay .
