High quality food and beverages for a shockingly reasonable price. I’ve tried many of their pastries such as the butter croissant, chocolate croissant, chocolate babka, cardamom knot, cookie, brownie, ham & cheese croissant, focaccia. Across the board, they are all very good. Their bread is also amazing and has a unique taste because they mill their own flour. Their standout items in my opinion are the rotating seasonal danishes (not pictured). Note the danishes are only available on weekends! However, be prepared to wait in line. The service is friendly and quick though.

I was thrilled with my first visit to this unique bakery that mills their own flour on location! I was eager to taste their sourdough bread from fresh milled flour. I ordered a Classic Hearth and Classic Pan Loaf and they were so hearty and delicious. I got the pre-sliced loaves which were still warm! I instantly loved the colour and textures of the sourdough bread. I had a slice of each with a slab of French grass-fed butter so I could enjoy the rich taste of the bread. Toasting the slices also brought out the flavours. And it is so delicious for my avocado & fried pastured egg toast! I am equally excited about the health benefits of their freshly milled flour. The nutritional benefits of this non-commercial flour is how I found Brodflour Bakery and why I made a special 2 hour trip there. The research I’ve found on “real flour” is truly inspiring especially knowing this is how our ancestors ate bread before flour was commercialized and removed essential vitamins and minerals to make it more shelf stable. Brodflour freshly mills their flour in a handmade granite stone mill so it retains natural nutrients and oils of the Bran, Germ and Endosperm of the whole wheat berry. These three elements are rich in fibre, healthy fats, vitamins B and E, minerals like iron, zinc, magnesium and antioxidants and enzymes, folate, complex carbs and protein. I’d like to think freshly milled flour is a Superfood! Based on my research it provides 30 to 40 of 44 essential nutrients and 3 to 5 times more nutrient dense than commercial flour. Plus it’s definitely more delicious! Can you tell nutritious bread is a passion for me?!! 😆❤️ The staff at Brodflour were very friendly when I arrived at 9:30am on a chilly weekday. The line up was short but quickly grew after I got my bread. I loved the warm vibe of the bakery and look forward to trying their many sweet and savoury baked goods next time! Highly recommend this bakery!!!

Great quality pastry & tremendous variety, good bread. Crowded on the weekends so plan accordingly. Decent coffee. Almond croissants are too good & are available only on weekends. Pain Suisse is great as well. Limited space, no proper dining space available so gets a bit tricky during winter.

Great place for casual Sunday mornings. We tried Butter Croissants, Madeleine and Breakfast Sandwiches. Croissants and Madeleines were exceptional! Loved the experience and will definitely visit again 💐

The vives of this place is amazing! You can smell freshly baked goods the moment you step in. It is pure heaven for people who love baked goods. I ordered the pain suisse and latte. The pain suisse is one the tastiest things I put in my mouth. The coffee is rich and delicious. 💯

What a beautiful croissant. I got lucky and got one shortly after it came out the oven and WOW! I am blown away. They use some sort of different flour which made the inside colour a little tan, different from most croissants but it was in the best way!

Wow cannot describe how good the cardamom knot was! All the pastry’s looked amazing, will be coming back to try more and get some bread! 🍞 The coffee was phenomenal 15/10 🤤☕️ Very much worth the drive from Burlington for this gem!

You know when you look up a place online and wonder if the food is actually as good as it looks? Well, in this case, the food is EVEN BETTER! I don’t know how that’s possible, as I’m not a baker myself, and fail to understand the magic of, and the science behind, baking. Brodflour might have THE BEST croissant in Toronto, and the focaccia slice (we tried the cheesy one) is next level! We’ve been here twice, and we will definitely be back!!! Also really enjoyed going on a Saturday when the outdoor Farmer’s Market kiosk is next door. Felt like I could balance out my pastries with some high quality fruits and veggies.

Brodflour was absolutely heaving with people when I walked past, and the queue definitely drew me in. Tucked away in a little corner, it's definitely something worth stumbling on with the cute little interior and quaint bakery vibes. I got to try the custard chocolate croissant and the morning bun, but was unfortunately disappointed. Everything looked amazing, but the pastry was stodgy and not very flavourful. I've definitely had better. Unfortunately won't be coming to brodflour again, maybe I stumbled across a bad day but the pastry did not live up to my expectations

Brodflour is a small bakery-cafe tucked away on the West most side of liberty village. I got a pain Suisse on a Sunday morning, and it was super busy with a lineup running through the entire bakery, but it moved fast. My general comments: - practically perfect product - very expensive - fast and bare minimum service - far from downtown core - limited seating The pastry I got was very high quality, I could see the vanilla bean seeds in the custard filling. However, it cost me over 8 dollars and took me over 40 minutes to commute there. The workers also seemed like they were trying to get people in and out as fast as possible. There's a small patio outside and benches inside. I probably won't return since I can find high quality options closer to my area for a better price

Good sourdough bread but overpriced for a smaller loaf of bread, you pay $6.95. The line is very long and we came on a rainy day. So it was extra crowded. It was my first time and asked the staff which of the bread is sourdough. I got a rude reply that all of them are sourdough. I went to use the restroom and it was pretty dirty. I get it they busy but there's no need to be rude and bad of them to not check the restroom cleanliness especially that the bathroom is right in the middle of the shop and the kitchen where they have to pass by the bathroom with bread to bring it to the shop. So hope they do something about it.

Accidentally found this place when I'm craving for coffee after having brunch at Liberty Village! The shop is never empty on weekend, and the flat white is just perfect! It has a rich nutty taste. I like the style of the shop a lot, aesthetic, and definitely revisiting soon to try their pastry

Delicious homemade bread and baked goods! I wandered in on a blustery day and got the breakfast sandwich on a homemade English muffin with bacon. Phenomenal texture of the bread. Light and airy perfection. I also got a chocolate almond croissant to go which was also top notch. I feel like chocolate almond croissants are hard to do well because the filling ratios are so easy to mess up. Not a problem at brodflour. They know what they're doing and you can even see them making croissants through the glass. I will say that it's not really a place to comfortably sit for a long period of time. There is a bench but no tables for working, so it's more of a grab and go spot in my eyes. Also, I was really let down by my iced oat chai. Just felt flavorless and lackluster, especially in comparison to the breads. If I were to go back, I'd just focus on the food.

We were driving/wandering around the west end and I had forgotten that this was on my list of places to check out! The hubs obliged and we pulled in - a nice airy ambiance and we were greeted upon entering. I had watched some French chef rate all the best croissants in Toronto and since he rated this one as quite high, I knew I had to give this a go. Their display had some wonderful goodies - Morning Bun, butter croissant, chocolate croissant, cardamom knot and a couple others that didn't quite catch my eye. We got our coffee, a butter croissant and the cardamom knot. They were both DELICIOUS. The croissant was flaky and soft good... it recently came out of oven but the knot was amazing. If you're not a cardamom fan, stay away but we are and we loved it. The coffee ... isn't the reason people are coming in but hey, you're already there If you're in the hood, give this one a try!!

Heard of this place from a friend. They make their own flour here and serve sourdough pizzas. Pizza is only available on Friday evenings. Wish it was everyday or the whole weekend. We got the spicy pepperoni and it was delicious. They have a truffle garlic dip that goes well the pizza. During the day time they are a bakery and I heard good thing about the croissants. We tried it and they were good but not amazing. Maybe my expectations were too high but it was good. Overall I would come back to try their other pizzas

I was on a mission to try a pastry from here after hearing their croissant was one of the best by French chef, Romain Avril. They stone-mill their own flour which I find quite impressive. Food: I only had the pain au chocolat and it was amazing! It was flaky, pillowy, and the chocolate had good taste. Will definitely come back again in the future! Service/atmosphere: The interior is spacious and aesthetic it's a lovely place when the sun hits through the window. In the warmer season, there are benches outside in the front and some indoor seats as well.

Food is amazing good. I loved everything i've tried here. I've had their bagels, their English muffins and their bread and croissants. All of it was so good and they mill their own flour!!! They close pretty early 3 o'clock on Mondays 4 o'clock the other days they are open. But it's worth it if you're in the area. Their croissants have a most amazing crunch and butteriness! And their English muffins are so soft and yummy! I just wish they didn't cost $2 per English muffin!!! Anyways if you're in liberty village in the morning go. They run out of stuff in the afternoon. Probably why they don't open late.

I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon and hot sauce. Sooo good but a bit small for the price. Coffee was good too. Great service and friendly staff. Not the best place to sit and eat though, this spot is better for grab and go.

Tried this place for the first time and I guess I was expecting too much. The croissant, for me, was too airy and need a little more salt. Could not taste the butter that should come through. The Pain au chocolate was a disgrace. Two dots of chocolate that was located with a magnifying glass. Under whelming. Got their red rife loaf. Had a nice sour smell and good crust and crumb. With such a high quality flour Brodflour was not worth a second trip. If you visit this bakery I would only recommend their breads.

Great bread, pastry, sandwich place beautiful, delicious devoured the chocolate croissant like thing turkey sandwich: toasted, yum seating outdoors indoors had benches filled with coffee sippers reminiscent of Tartine in the US/SF

I decided to come by Brodflour since my co-workers have praised them for their coffee for a long time. The storefront is so inconspicuous that it's easy to miss, especially with the construction in the area. The interior is spacious and has lots of air flow. The bread looks amazing and I'd love to pick one up on the way home, but the store closes early. I ordered the mocha, which is my go-to drink. It was excellent. Lots of chocolate flavor, quite a bit of sweetness to it. Definitely a winner in my opinion.

Friendly, hardworking staff. These are the people that greet you and help you with your order, so it's nice to have a pleasant experience with them. Delicious products. The bread is exceptional...lovely bite to the crust, fabulous airy and light crumb. The bread pairs with anything...avocado, deviled tofu (just like egg salad), peanut butter, marmalade, very versatile. I sat on their indoor benches and enjoyed their Saskatoon berry jam (yum) with almond butter on a fresh, thick slice of their pan loaf, which was tasty and filling. Will be buying their loaves regularly from now on. And possibly, a jar of their Saskatoon berry jam will be in my to-go bag, too.

A cozy spot with friendly staff and a delightful selection of baked goods, this bakery's breads, especially the sourdough, are a standout. The croissants are buttery and flaky, and they also offer delicious coffee to pair with your treats. Perfect for grabbing a snack or bread to-go, but seating can be limited--so plan for a quick visit if you're in the area!

I love grilled cheese sandwiches and when I needed sourdough this place popped up on my google search. This place is heaven for sourdough lovers out there. It's practically all they do and the loafs are gorgeous! I went in and told them about my grilled cheese aspirations and they were so helpful. They passionately told me the differences and I ended up with the perfect loaf. This is the only place to buy sourdough in Toronto.

Review is Pre-covid lockdown: BEST sourdough in the GTA. But thats based on my preference for sour/flavoured sourdough. I know sourdough isn't necessarily named for it being sour, but is for using wild yeast instead of commercial yeast. But I love the tartness. i've tried a few different loaves from there since they have been opened. And they are all so good. Unfortunately i can't remember which is my favourite, my husband usually picks up the bread and asks for the one that tastes the most sour. But also need to mention, they are not cheap. Have also tried their cardamom buns (hard to find elsewhere in the city). They said they are the best. But when you don't have anywhere else to compare with...then yes. When i compare to the ones I ate in Sweden, these don't even come close. Brownies, delicious.....so soft and fudgey, highly recommend. Ginger cookie, same as elsewhere. They also have a chocolate chip cookie. one of my faves behind Le Gourmand.

Dropped by to pick up a quick lunch and this place did not disappoint. Lunch options are pretty limited but what I did get to try did hit the spot. Unfortunately they were out of the milk buns and the smoked salmon bagel, so I opted for the turkey sandwich. The sourdough baguette was perfectly crunchy on the on the outside and soft on the inside. The house made onion relish was delicious. And the ingredients were simple but tasted so fresh. I didn't pick up any coffee, but they did sell monogram coffee beans which is one of my favourites. I'll definitely be back for the coffee and to pick up fresh bread next time! Carbe diem!

Brodflour is located in Liberty Village hidden on a smaller side street. I dropped by Brodflour when it just opened and was delighted at the amount of freshly baked breads and pastries on display. The space is big and spacious and you can see how they make their bread. I ordered an Americano and a toast with ricotta and jam. The Americano was great and the toast order came with 2 slices which were evenly spread with enough jam/ricotta. I also ordered a loaf of bread to go (sourdough with nuts I believe). When I brought it home to slice it and test it, you could tell the quality of the bread was top notch. It was extra fresh and so delicious (even on it's own). I would definitely return to buy more bread to bring home - definitely one of the best breads I've had in the city!

My husband is a quarantine breadfluencer. You know the type, they're the worst. But what makes him the VERY worst, is he isn't even baking his bread. He's a fake breadfluencer! What! OK, that was a weird rant, and roundabout way to tell you we've been ordering all of our stunning sourdoughs, jams and coffee beans from Brodflour lately. I could not love a business more. Do yourself a favour, and add some perfect carbs to your social distancing dance. Find them on UberEats ($0 delivery fee).

Brodflour is my go to for all their fresh milled flours when I make sourdough bread, really great options and at good prices! I also LOVE their Saskatoon berry jam and grab it whenever it's available. If you're not a baker, their bagels and baked goods are worth a try too! And such a cute space in Liberty village

This is an initial review of this spot as I need to explore their other offerings to form a better opinion. Not being able to visit this area much anymore I decided to explore whatever I could on this visit. This place was bookmarked for a bit. The setup is industrial as they do bake on site. I decided to try the avo on sourdough in addition to taking home the baguette, cinnamon and cardamom rolls. For starters the music was quite loud when I visited and almost made one want to leave (maybe that's what they want to do :) The avo toast even with the bread being very good was a bit off IMO with lingering sour taste on the guac like presentation. The baguette was good and worth a try for sure. As for the cinnamon and cardamom rolls were subpar and tasted more like dough so a poor attempt at a sweet item. Overall good for the baked bread as will try out other baked breads but jury is out for the in store food and sweet baked offerings.

As a barista myself, I can tell you that Brodflour knows their beans! Last time I was there they were using high quality roasts from Monogram coffee. I loved the Rodolfo Jacinto López Guatemalan bean! I read something on their site today however that might mean they changed roasters, I hope not though as it was some damn fine coffee. Now for a review for what's in their name brod"flour"! The marble rye take home loaf is worth living for! They really bake it fresh and it's nice that usually it's available (though apparently it's been known to sell out!). I also paired the rye with the Saskatoon Berry Jam!!!!!! Ahh my childhood memories of living in Alberta (and having more access to Saskatoon berry) is so vivid because of brodflour's Saskatoon berry jam... though, I will recommend that they hold out on any added sugar as it hurts my sensitive teeth. Sadly I can't eat it cause I will get searing pain... BUT my partner ate the whole jar and I still thought it was delicious. Hmm what else to say? Oh ! The Avacado toast - SO DARN DELICIOUS. Second best avo toast I have ever had... which is actually pretty high up there as I am a full blown millennial with avocado cravings... lol. Yolo. My only suggestion is to add pomegranate fruit seeds - trust me. The turkey sandwich (forget the name) was really yummy and is my favourite go to item on their menu for a filling lunch. Ah I am getting hungry writing about them, I think I will pay a visit again soon! Thanks brodflour for the best experience - ohh and that's not even including sit down - I can't wait to sit in the cafe one day to experience the whole thing. Stay tuned! Note there is parking, you may or may not be able to sit there (double check their site or call them) and the ordering outdoors for pickup is accessible. The employees seem to be treated well too !

Pretty neat spot in liberty village that has great coffee attached to a mill. All the bakery items and breads are excellent quality. If has a really cool and interesting vibe. There is very limited seating so it is definetly a place to grab a quick coffee between work calls or just for on the go. If you want a place to sit down wouldn't be the spot for you. The cortado i had was a bit more on the acidic end than I was expecting which was not my favourite, but I think it is something that can be really enjoyable for others (just my own preference)

I came here today for the first time on only their second day of business and I was seriously impressed. Their big selling point is the quality of their bread and after eating here, I can see why. Between the avocado and egg sandwich, some of their samples and the rye with sunflower seeds that I bought to take home, I tried five of their products and each one was so tasty. It seems that their decision to mill their own flour in house (not something I've ever seen before!) has paid off. Oh and try out their cookies too. Also very tasty.

A nice place, but be ready to eat of your lap, as it seems to have more communal seatings. If you live in this neighbourhood, it's a nice place with good selection of reading magazines, but Liberty Village is still somewhat out of the way. Slightly pricey for the amount you get. But it is good quality of bread, made from good ingredients. Tasty cultured butter, awesome vegan cookies, and love the cinnamon buns. Coffee isnt bad either.

Probably the most I've spent on an avocado sandwich but it was so worth it. I don't remember the exact name of the sandwich but it was made with sourdough bread, avocado, egg and cucumber. I enjoyed every bite of how tasty, delicious and fresh it was. Will definitely be back!

Little bakery, hard to find and worth it! For a carbwhore like me, this is the holy grail. Get there early and experience the freshest bread with the finest flavor possible. These people LOVE bread and it shows

One of the best spots for coffee and locally made goodies in the area! They're a bit on the pricier side but everything is made in house with really great ingredients. Some of my favourites are the avocado toast, the smoked salmon, and their ginger cookies. Their interior is very minimalist and truth be told I wish there was more seating like the old restaurant that used to be here, but I can see that that room has been taken up by all of the machinery - which clearly is required to make all of those delicious baked goods! I've heard their loaves of bread are out of this world and they're also experimenting with pizza on certain evenings, but I haven't had a chance to try. When they first opened, there was also mention of diving into bowls but I haven't seen those yet.. hopefully soon! One of the things that's always struck me a little bit odd about this place is the staff. I've been multiple times and have been served by a variety of people but they never seem all that pleasant. Sucks because they have fantastic products here but their customer service could really use some work.

Everything's super tasty, and the staff are friendly!! We absolutely love their loaves and their sandwiches!! Tried their avo and beefsteak toasts today... we're huge fans!! Highly recommended if you're in the area!!

Do yourself a favour, alright. Head on down to the Hipster capital of Toronto, walk directly to this no frills yet charming bakery and place an order for the Saskatoon Berry and Almond butter sangwich-thing. This bespoke bakery bakes with FRESH flour, ground on the premises and the products it sells to willing carb-sluts like myself certainly reflect it. The "Bird Bun" acts as a crispy, fresh tasting canvas to what can only be described as taste-bud wizardry of the highest order combining Almond Butter (you won't be missing your smooth JIF, when you bite into this) and Saskatoon Berry jam. Not sure who picks em, not even sure what they are...but they are glorious as a jam. Unmentioned up until this point but definitely not forgotten are the Cinnamon Twists. Essentially, buck naked Cinnamon Buns these elegant creations go swimmingly with a morning cup of coffee. They also have pizza on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, which I have yet to try but we have to have goals in life. Try this place. 7.8/10.

This review is based on the sourdough bread. I purchased the red fife seeded bread and it was very fresh, beautiful fluffy and flavourful. Loved the seeds on the outside. The fact that they mill their own flour does show in the quality of the bread. I will definitely be coming back for their bread. They also use Detour coffee beans which has very good reputation. I ordered a latte and found the oat milk over powered the espresso flavour so I wasn't able to get a good handle on this coffee. I'll have to go Americano next time.

Ok quality bread, extremely complicated menu... You can only get their most popular pastry Friday to Sunday, you can't get an avocado toast on Sundays and they don't serve latte on a Wednesday.... Being special for the sake of being special... zzzz

Best artisanal sourdough bread in TO. A bit inconsistent with baking bread that appears over baked...very dark and tough crust. I give 5 stars b/c it's quality! Albeit pricey, sadly they raise price by 1$ on items delivered by Uber Eats.

Excellent coffee, great food. My go to place in Liberty village for coffee and breakfast. On the pricey side but worth it considering the quality of their products.

Visited for the first time this morning, and was pleasantly surprised to have a nice chat with the owner. She is highly knowledgeable and passionate about bread making, and when I asked what the cardamom buns were like, she immediately cut one up for me to sample. They are to die for! Their baked goods looked super fresh and tasty, and the Americano I ordered was the best I've had in a very long time. The prices are admittedly premium, but so is the product. I will absolutely be back!

I shopped there twice. I found the sourdough breads are very fresh. Having said that it seems that the store has a very strange practice where they don't accept cash. They accept cards only. I insisted on paying cash sorry. They also charged a loaf of bread with different pricing each time I visit there. First time, I bought two bread, each costs me $7. Second time, I had been charged for $20 for two even though I bought exact changes. This is very expensive breads. The lady told me that the reasons she prefers cards because it was so dirty to touch the cash and the breads. There is another option where she could wear gloves. I totally understand. There is a sink next to the counter where she should be able wash her hands after handling cash. I just don't understand what's the big deal of washing hands after touching cash. Even though she accepted my cash, the charges were far too expensive. If I have to continue to support local business, they need to change this strange non-cash practice more friendly for the shoppers. As for the pricing, the menu does not list any prices. I could not believe she wanted $20 for two sour dough breads.

I love this place! The rye is great, but the sourdough is my personal favourite. I've had both the avocado spread and almond butter with Saskatoon berry jam, and I can't decide which is better. The coffee is also excellent. A great place to stop by for a quick and yummy meal. The staff are also very kind and friendly.

This place was awesome when it first opened - great food, friendly and efficient service. Over the last few months the quality of the ingredients has not only declined, but they've changed some of their recipes and their food is now not as good. Service is the biggest problem - staff are unwilling to make simple substitutions (asked for a different type of bread for my sandwich and was told no because there's no way to make that change in the computer??) and are generally rude at times. I will definitely not be going here anymore. Full boycott.

Delicious bread, great coffee, beautiful baking. The service goes from excellent to shockingly apathetic. Will go back but I am hoping the service environment becomes kinder and a bit more consistent.
