Hungry. Was out in Kalaeloa for Bubble Run 2025. The sister wanted us to try and take us here. So we went go check em. We got there just a little before they opened, perfect timing, so had to wait a little till they opened. They have outdoor and indoor seating.
As soon as we walked in, oh gosh, beautiful art all over. That was my favorite part. Their beautiful art. We had to go sit down and reserve seats, we picked the table, corner window. There was flies and small bugs flying at the window. They should do something about that. They sell merchandise like shirts/tops and stuff, and a fridge of drinks/homemade lemonade, and I guess their famous sauce, something like chili peppa watah.
Since the sister wanted us to try, I just had her order whatevs for me, the wife picked the big bone beef rib luau. She got me the garlic chicken and she got the braised short ribs. Idk, for the cost of the food, I think it was a little overpriced. But the plates are hella huge. So maybe the price of the food is for quantity of food. But is it worth the price??? Hmmm... Wife said she liked her beef rib luau. The garlic chicken was good on the outside. I loved the outside flavor, but the chicken was dry. Didn't like it. If the chicken was tender, I think it would probably be better. The braised short ribs was the best. Customer service was great. Cashier was really nice and friendly. They did have other things on the menu that I may want to try if I ever go back there. Was it worth it??? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. Would I go back there again? I wouldn't make my way all the way from Nalo just to go eat here, however, if I/we do stumble upon this place ever again (we're rarely on the west) I'd give it another shot and try the other foods that caught my eye.
Everybody has different opinions. My sisters bf likes this spot. Go and check them out, support local. Located on the west side, I think next to consolidated theaters kapolei?!
