Zaira was our server & was extremely kind & attentive! Food was really good, we ordered the mile high & mom omelet, delish! Iced chai tea latte with an added shot of espresso was also sweet & good! Overall, we had a great breakfast & would definitely come back.

I love this restaurant. It is so fantastic! 😍 The food is absolutely fresh and delicious. We had the best experience today because we got to meet the owner, Billy from Philly, and let me tell you—he has a great sense of humor! 😂 We also met Carlos, who is so awesome, and Zayera and Yoli, who were just so wonderful. 💖 Everyone here is genuinely kind, welcoming, and friendly, and it feels so sincere. For food, I ordered the Fiesta Burrito 🌯 and turkey bacon 🥓, and I have to say—this was some of the best turkey bacon I’ve ever had! It was cooked perfectly. I mean, seriously, where did they get these turkeys from?! 🤣 10/10, would recommend! Please, GO HERE. Run, don’t walk! 🏃‍♀️💨 Have an amazing breakfast or lunch in a place that feels like home. The ambiance is wonderful, the food is top-tier, and the people make it even better. If you don’t go here, you’re not living your life right! ✨💯

We had the most amazing eggsperience today at Broken Yolk. The service was top notch and the food was eggcellent! We’ve always loved Broke Yolk. What really set this experience beyond what we ever imagined was the acknowledgement my kids received for their hard work at school. The kids got a gift certificate from school after completing a winter book club. Not only did Billy from Philly encourage them and congratulate them multiple times he created a chance for the whole restaurant to congratulate them as well. This really made my girls feel proud of themselves and excited about working hard in school. Thank you so much Broken Yolk and Billy for creating an environment where you don’t feel like just another customer!

I recently visited Broken Yolk for breakfast and decided to try the Meat Lovers skillet. It was a hearty and satisfying choice, packed with perfectly cooked bacon, sausage, ham, and melted cheese layered over a bed of golden-brown potatoes. The dish was rich and flavorful, and the eggs on top were cooked exactly how I ordered—broken yolks, just as the name suggests! The portion size was generous, making it great value for the price. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere had a warm, inviting vibe that made for a pleasant start to the day. If you're a fan of savory, protein-packed breakfasts, the Meat Lovers is a must-try. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu!

Zaira was our waitress today. She was awesome! Kept us refilled and checked in on us just enough that we felt taken care of but not watched over. Everything was wonderful!

This is my favorite spot in town! Fast, great service & very friendly staff! The manager Yolanda is the best, really nice & very professional. The food was a 10/10! I'd definitely recommend trying the fiesta burrito or chilaquiles very flavorful

The broken Yolk has become our go to breakfast spot its exactly what we need to start the day right. But what really sets this place apart is the service, especially from Lisa, our regular server. Lisa is absolutely fantastic. She always greets us with a smile, remembers our orders down to the detail, and even watches for us coming in so she can have our coffee ready before we sit down. That kind of thoughtful, attentive service is rare these days, and it's a big reason why we keep coming back week after week.

It was alright. Service was alright. Food was alright. Nothing to write home about and a non-repeat place for me. Even my coffee... My 1st cup tasted good, the next cup tasted burnt. Didn't see the waitress for another 30 minutes so I couldn't get a change out.

Food was very good. We had the full stack of blueberries with the combo of poached eggs and bacon. The bacon was so so. We also had the salmon avocado toast and it was delicious. We also had the fresh squeezed oj it was delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly. They all work as a team. Tv monitors gave a good ambiance.

Love this place. Such great vegetarian options for brunch. The food is delicious and the service is great. Bonus is there is parking! One of my favorite brunch spots in San Diego.

Service was okay but the food was nothing but under and overcooked. It was not even busy at all Nutella crepes my daughter ordered undercooked disgusting. Breakfast burrito soaked in sour green salsa with overcooked machaca tasted more like beef jerky and was cold. Chilequilas were cold that mom ordered and most employees were hanging out by the entrance hanging out. Mission Valley location 1000 times better, this location is busted.

First time here, loved it! Food is actually really good, service was great and food came out pretty fast. Nice location in Rancho San Diego. Definitely recommend coming here for brunch.

Everything on the menu will make you day! The food has always been to order, and delivered with a smile and in a respectful timeframe. The interior is so comfortably decorated and well lit. We've been coming most weekends over the last couple months with ALL 3 of our dogs. The service is great, the waitstaff is so accommodating and kind to our pack. I couldn't imagine a better place to enjoy a patio meal with your furry best friend.

DO NOT EAT HERE! I ordered their chicken sandwich and I got food poisoning just a few hours after I ate here in the morning. I knew it looked kinda weird but I was hungry and ate half of it anyway because I had to wait so long to be seated. I'm informing the health inspector on this place.

Shout out to our server, Zaira. She was attentive and thoughtful throughout our visit. Without us even asking, she split our kids' dish, which made things so much easier for us and showed how considerate she is. Zaira was also very prompt with everything... drinks, refills, checking in... but still gave us space to enjoy our family time. Her personality and excellent service made our breakfast so enjoyable. Come to Broken Yolk if you are craving the best breakfast food always cooked to perfection! I can always rely on Broken Yolk to come through! The food is not only delicious but cooked fresh, and the portions are large for that voracious appetite! There are so many selections of entrees to choose from! Anything and everything is available! The drink list has a great variety of delicious beverages too! I also enjoy the service here because all the wait staff is friendly and accommodating for anything you need. The cleanliness of their restaurant is always appreciated! Keep in mind you will have to wait a little bit because it is so popular here and busy! It is so worth the wait! If you do not want to wait then you would just show up right when their doors open. Head over today to the Broken Yolk! What a perfect way to begin the day! I love it here! The service was wonderful and quick. Lisa L is Attentive asked if we needed anything else. The food was delicious and the coffee is fresh. Lisa L is very welcoming. Always has a smile on her face. The location is perfect love the ambiance and the people that work here are very sweet. Will definitely keep coming back to this location.

Pro: Ambiance is nice, great music and they push the mimosas which my friends seem to like. Great OJ. Eggs are good. Cons: slow staff service. I've been to other BYC and it's not location specific. It's just slow and expect to not get a hot coffee refill. No hazelnut creamer. Gravy is more herb based, not a country sausage gravy. Lemon ricotta pancakes is NOT as described. These things are rubbery and not fluffy but flat and thin. Not sure where the ricotta disappeared to but did manage to find one small lemon rind piece in a pancake. Short stack is 2 pancakes, full stack is 3. Bottom line: would return for ambiance with company but not for the food or service. ETA: got food poisoning here. Breakfast exited both ends. Not nice seeing blueberries come up. Bottom line: NOT RETURNING.

I usually don't do a lot of reviews but came in for breakfast with the fam & was greeted right away. Yoli the manager was amazing, she made sure we were always doing okay, made sure we had everything we needed, didn't wait long for the food and everything was delicious! Broken Yolk Cafe - El Cajon is always a great choice for breakfast. We enjoyed the Chicken & Waffles Benedict, avocado toast, and a fresh blueberry muffin, all of which were excellent. Our waitress Yoli provided outstanding service and was very attentive, while Carlos, as always, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this location for both the food and the warm, friendly service.

BYC always has good food to begin with and options for vegetarians or folks that don't eat pork. And the space is always the right temperature and the music is just right. First time at this location. Seated by hostess that didn't speak to us. Only walked us to a table, tossed the menus on the table and walked away. Then waited 45 minutes for a two person breakfast order. Watched several other people that sat down after us get served within a few minutes. Will never go back. Highly recommend the Broken Yolk in Santee. Great service and lovely people.

We have been coming to Pacific Beach and/or Chula Vista locations for over 10 years for special breakfasts. Food is always delicious but understandably not cheap. They always have good quality and large servings. Recently, we discovered a GREAT BARGAIN: the senior and early bird menu. We got two huge pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon for $10.95 (before 9:30)! Totally worth getting up earlier. Always great service too.

The Broken Yolk in Rancho El Cajon is hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots. The owner is always there making sure everything runs smoothly, and you can really tell he cares about the place and his customers. The food is always amazing , fresh, delicious, and comes out quickly. The service is consistently exemplary; everyone is friendly and attentive no matter how busy it gets. You can't go wrong here if you're looking for a great meal and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend! We had Yesenia as our waitress today, and she was absolutely amazing. She made sure my kids had everything they needed and listened so carefully when they ordered, making them feel heard and important. She even complimented my daughter's hair, which made her feel so welcome and confident. Thank you, Yesenia, for making our breakfast extra special!

Very diverse menu with options for all diets and desires. I loved the service and the food was amazing. After taking our order it took very little time to receive our food. Overall, fast, clean, friendly and delicious. Give it a try. Only criticism. Don't use the virtual queue. After waiting for some time. I went up to check on where we were in the line. They couldn't find me. I showed them my reservation and they helped me but they obviously don't use it or it doesn't work. Just go to the receptionist to check in.

Stopped in for a morning breakfast burger while my tires were being changed at discount tire across the way. The service was outstanding and the burger was very delicious. Definitely not my first visit and it definitely won't be my last and it's wonderful they have outside seating.

Zaria, was the name of our amazing server! I was so happy to have someone who cared like she did to help my picky son get his order done patiently. Food was great the steak was amazing and the avocado toast is fire! All broken yolks have the same ambiance which I think is great for the fun place it is.

Unfortunately I have never written a bad review but this morning just left a bad taste in my mouth & I didn't even eat my meal. Service was decent. However my mom ordered an eggs Benedict, my brother ordered a hamburger, and I ordered a chicken sandwich. When the food came the portions were small and everything was very lacking luster. Then I looked at my chicken sandwich. Two slices of bread and two pale cold chicken tenders peaked out from under a bun, accompanied by a spit of Honey BBQ sauce on top of the chicken when i lifted the bun. In my 24 years on this earth i have never sent back food. Even if its cold or lackluster I'll still eat it. This was unappetizing and honestly I couldn't imagine it going into my body. I told the waitress and she took it back but there was no sympathy or even a "can I get you anything else?" I just shared the eggs Benedict with my mom. At the end of our stay with just the Hamburger & Eggs Benedict plus 3 waters it still came out to over $40. Don't waste your time or money for pale cold chicken & an underwhelming breakfast experience.

It is increasingly rare to experience, exceptional customer service. Today I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Yessenia. What a lovely experience! She is an intelligent, thoughtful, aware, young woman and made my dining experience 100% better by just her being her. some people are just naturally kind and she is one of them. Also, I had the pleasure of being helped by Carlos. Another stellar human being! And the food is always on point here... Such a great café. Thank you for your great service and delicious food! Searching for a quick breakfast place on our way through SanDiego and this was the best place! We had an option to sit inside or outside. We chose inside and were seated immediately. Our waitress Savannah was on it! We ordered coffee and blinked and it was at the table. Food was out extremely fast as well. We had two different egg Benedict's and two kids meals. No complaints here on taste. Everything was hot and perfect' They also had a menu if you have a dog with you, so cute. Overall delicious, great service, and I would highly recommend.

Had Mother's Day brunch here. I added our name to the waitlist on-line and they had our table available for us during the estimated wait time that was given. The staff was friendly and fast even on the busy Mother's Day holiday. Our food came out fast and tasted delicious!
