For a most excellent dinning experience try the "Broken Yoke Cafe". Excellent service, home made soups and serene atmosphere. I had the homemade chicken soup, most excellent. It's still an hour before closing so it's not so busy. To avoid crowds and waiting for your order after 10 am or after 12 best times.

Wow, wow, wow! Every time my wife and I eat here, we are never disappointed. Greek omlette was excellent! The toast was so fresh. The omlette was beautifully seasoned, and the watermelon tasted better than the watermelon at the grocery store! We met one of the owners today, Billy. Billy was totally and completely in the trenches, working side by side with his team. I have never, ever seen an owner work as hard as his employees! Used my $10 dollar birthday coupon from TBY and saw the Classic Car Show in the parking lot. So, it was a win-win! LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Fresh, vibrant food fabulous tasting food at an affordable price! <><

First. Time Being Here, Met Up With Family For Brunch, Staff Was Friendly, Food Was Good, Atmosphere Pretty Chill

Not good for large groups. Missing food. Landed cold. Pass hot coffee across a 14 top from one end to the other. Order twice cuz the lost track of what was served. No refilsl in coffee? 45 min to get bill. Broken Joke.

Got the huevos rancheros and really liked the flavor! A good amount of heat, but not too spicy. Also our server, Lisa, was just amazing! She was so friendly and she was regularly checking in not only with us, but all of the nearby tables, making sure everyone's food was just right and no cups were reset empty! Really impressed with her phenomenal customer service!

Food was fantastic! We ordered chilaquiles, eggs Benedict, all American breakfast and crepes — everything was delicious!! Staff was friendly and attentive. Very organized. We were told our table would be a 15 min wait but it was only about 5 mins. There’s indoor and outdoor seating available, we opted for indoor seating and were very comfortable. The owner stopped by all the tables and thanked guests for their support, which is really nice. I love going here for brunch, I always feel taken care of! Only reason I’m not 5 stars is due to dirty silverware. It was replaced promptly though.

Our table was absent a condiment basket. Our waitress was woefully absent and my silverware was filthy. Our food was delicious! The eggs were cooked well! Kitchen staff provided good service. I had to listen to Country music...grrr.

This is the second time I have had their burger here. No joke, 1/2 pound of deliciousness. The bread is soft, meat is flavorful and crispy fries. I honestly have trouble finishing this. Best time for to go is after 2pm when the rush is gone. Service was great both times.

The broken Yolk has become our go to breakfast spot its exactly what we need to start the day right. But what really sets this place apart is the service, especially from Lisa, our regular server. Lisa is absolutely fantastic. She always greets us with a smile, remembers our orders down to the detail, and even watches for us coming in so she can have our coffee ready before we sit down. That kind of thoughtful, attentive service is rare these days, and it's a big reason why we keep coming back week after week.

where can I start. i have to admit the staff are great very caring and good attitude. the food was very good and fresh I would recommend coming here for breakfast every day. yolanda was very sweet and made sure we always had what we needed without having to look around and wait for refills. the music and vibes and energy was amazing. made my Saturday morning the best ever.

Pro: Ambiance is nice, great music and they push the mimosas which my friends seem to like. Great OJ. Eggs are good. Cons: slow staff service. I've been to other BYC and it's not location specific. It's just slow and expect to not get a hot coffee refill. No hazelnut creamer. Gravy is more herb based, not a country sausage gravy. Lemon ricotta pancakes is NOT as described. These things are rubbery and not fluffy but flat and thin. Not sure where the ricotta disappeared to but did manage to find one small lemon rind piece in a pancake. Short stack is 2 pancakes, full stack is 3. Bottom line: would return for ambiance with company but not for the food or service. ETA: got food poisoning here. Breakfast exited both ends. Not nice seeing blueberries come up. Bottom line: NOT RETURNING.

Very diverse menu with options for all diets and desires. I loved the service and the food was amazing. After taking our order it took very little time to receive our food. Overall, fast, clean, friendly and delicious. Give it a try. Only criticism. Don't use the virtual queue. After waiting for some time. I went up to check on where we were in the line. They couldn't find me. I showed them my reservation and they helped me but they obviously don't use it or it doesn't work. Just go to the receptionist to check in.

The Broken Yolk in Rancho El Cajon is hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots. The owner is always there making sure everything runs smoothly, and you can really tell he cares about the place and his customers. The food is always amazing , fresh, delicious, and comes out quickly. The service is consistently exemplary; everyone is friendly and attentive no matter how busy it gets. You can't go wrong here if you're looking for a great meal and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend! We had Yesenia as our waitress today, and she was absolutely amazing. She made sure my kids had everything they needed and listened so carefully when they ordered, making them feel heard and important. She even complimented my daughter's hair, which made her feel so welcome and confident. Thank you, Yesenia, for making our breakfast extra special!

Ana is a total gem at Broken Yolk! From the moment we walked in, Ana made us feel completely welcome. She greeted us with a warm smile, handled everything with such genuine kindness, and never missed a beat--even with a packed house. She's that rare kind of server who seems to anticipate what you need before you even ask. Our coffee cups never went empty, our food came out just right, and she managed it all with incredible grace and positivity. Broken Yolk is already a great spot for breakfast, but Ana makes it a place you actually *look forward* to returning to. If you're lucky enough to be seated in her section, your morning's bound to be fantastic.

Come to Broken Yolk if you are craving the best breakfast food always cooked to perfection! I can always rely on Broken Yolk to come through! The food is not only delicious but cooked fresh, and the portions are large for that voracious appetite! There are so many selections of entrees to choose from! Anything and everything is available! The drink list has a great variety of delicious beverages too! I also enjoy the service here because all the wait staff is friendly and accommodating for anything you need. The cleanliness of their restaurant is always appreciated! Keep in mind you will have to wait a little bit because it is so popular here and busy! It is so worth the wait! Fabiola was amazing! Very helpful and great service! I ate Steel Oats and it was super tasty and healthy! My dad mainly speaks Spanish and Fabiola was able to help my dad because she is bilingual.

First of all, the service was excellent! We sat outside, a little chilly but they had outside heaters. We had the hash skillet which was just ok. Not enough hash or bacon, but too many potatoes! Should be renamed the potato skillet. We also had pancakes and eggs and bacon which were ok. Total cost was 55.00 plus tip so hurry up trump and lower the prices!

Had Mother's Day brunch here. I added our name to the waitlist on-line and they had our table available for us during the estimated wait time that was given. The staff was friendly and fast even on the busy Mother's Day holiday. Our food came out fast and tasted delicious!

It took over an hour for 2 people. They told us when we showed up 15-20 minute. was not a good experience here and they need to give a better representation of time. I had to order right away as I had to go to work which I wanted to enjoy my food instead of rushing to eat and leave.

Soggy waffles! I always ask for fresh strawberries and bananas. I received neither! Hash brown undercooked and bacon, I asked crispy and it was not. I have been here 50 times over the course of three years. I don't know if they switched chefs or what but they need to switch back!

Searching for a quick breakfast place on our way through SanDiego and this was the best place! We had an option to sit inside or outside. We chose inside and were seated immediately. Our waitress Savannah was on it! We ordered coffee and blinked and it was at the table. Food was out extremely fast as well. We had two different egg Benedict's and two kids meals. No complaints here on taste. Everything was hot and perfect' They also had a menu if you have a dog with you, so cute. Overall delicious, great service, and I would highly recommend.

This is my go to place for breakfast. It could be because of the reasonably priced mimosas? Hats off to the manager Yolanda and all the great servers including Zaira, Fabiola, Yesenia as well as Carlos, Ruby and Anna. Hi Kate, thanks for responding. The cook probably took out the fried and onion rings out of the fryer early. Because when I bit into my onion rings if fell apart as I was eating all of them. When you pay 47.73. That's alot for 2 sandwiches fries and onion rings. We was at table 34/1

This our go to brunch the crowds hit at 10:30 am on a Saturday but we went at 9:44 no wait time. To each his own, time when the bell rings for you. We had classic eggs Benedict with extra hollandaise sauce delicious as always. Staff is great they share duties as a team.

Was at breakfast for 8 of us. Fabiola was the perfect waitress and very conscientious of all of us, making sure we had everything.

The food amazing brought my family they got surprise how big the French toast. We even have left overs. Great customer service.

Great service & location was spacious and clean! Restrooms were also clean! Definitely recommend the orange juice and the American breakfast. Would give the lemon ricotta pancakes a 3/5, needs more lemon flavor and a glaze on top would be nice! Will definitely be returning as a regular customer! This location is great because of the parking! Plus it's also near a movie theater!

TL;DR: great service, lots of breakfast options, and not too pricey. It was bustling when I was there, so a bit loud for most places but not off-putting. Great for the kids, prompt with pickups, and worth getting a reservation if you can. The Good: lots of options and food for the price. I had the benedict and it was a good amount of food. The kids meals are even a little bigger than I thought. Maybe it's better for the littles to share. The Bad: hours are only during the mornings to early afternoons and sometimes it's so crowded there's no way to walk in for breakfast.

Delicious food! Little to no wait outside thanks to the book ahead online feature. The only thing is, the service was SLOW. It took a long time to be acknowledged and then drinks and food took awhile to come out. I wish we didn't have to wait so long to enjoy the delightful fare.

The Broken Yolk in Rancho San Diego has the best, and most hardworking staff! They are very attentive, professional, prompt and kind! Zaira S. was our waitress! She's one of the best. She's always very welcoming and friendly. She's always coming to the table to check if everything is good. Carlos and Yolanda are as amazing! The entire team is a dream team. I love going there with my family because they are old fashioned hospitality in every way!

I want to tell you first about the man who was helping clean the floors and things his name was Carlos. He went and got his strings not that everybody else was busy but they were just talking to each other. He was absolutely wonderful. He he was just a refreshing I don't think there was enough that he couldn't have done for us. As far as the food goes. I got a grilled cheese sandwich. You know a salad and tomato biscuit soup which is absolutely wonderful. The grilled cheese though had a lot of problems, the cheese wasn't melted. It didn't even look like cheese and one side of the bread was all it was butter that it doesn't look like it ever touched the grill. There was three people in there besides us no reason for the food to be like that the other thing was the hashbrowns were oily I mean, dripping, oily like there was the last thing that somebody thought of and it was the end of the day and maybe we could just throw these on there I did have them replace my grilled cheese with BLT that was delicious. I would say that the white staff there needs to pay attention to the few gas that they have there. Carlos seemed to be able to mop floors, clean things up get water for people and do it with a smile and he was he was just absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't say that the waitress I wouldn't say she was too friendly. She never came over and asked us if we wanted anything. she was back in the back doing whatever you do when you're getting ready to close we got there at I think 115 so I don't think that you know that's really too badso I don't know if I'll be going to that one. I do like the one in Santee it seems to be a lot busier or even at closing and they're always really nice but Carlos should be made a waiter
