How to Book an Epic Off-roading Excursion With Ford Bronco

"A hands-on, guided off-road driving experience run by Ford that teaches drivers of all skill levels to handle Broncos across desert terrain. Once offered as a complimentary 10-hour program for qualifying owners, it is now open to the public with a Half-Day, four-hour option starting at $795 per vehicle (up to four guests). Expert trail guides walk participants through techniques like shifting from two-wheel drive to four-wheel-drive low, rock-crawling, engaging the electronic-locking rear differential, and using multiple driving modes, while emphasizing responsible trail use in line with conservation initiatives. The experience includes instruction on slow, technical off-roading, small-group coaching at a basecamp stocked with vintage Bronco doors and branded gear, and is available at multiple U.S. locations including Moab." - Alexandra Cheney Alexandra Cheney Alexandra Cheney is a travel writer, culture reporter, and content creator. An absolute must do if you own a 6th Gen Bronco. You can read all about how your bronco works but to really understand and put it to use, you gotta get to Bronco Off-Rodeo. Jess, our instructor was absolutely amazing. She is a walking owners manual for the 6th Gen and an incredible instructor, and a champion off-road driver to go along with all that knowledge. She made the whole experience one to remember. Big Al and the rest of the staff are awesome. I was skeptical and wasn't sure what to expect, honestly, I thought it was going to be a day of boring trail rides and maybe a challenge or 2. Was I ever wrong. The first portion of the instruction was fun and I learned some good info about the Bronco and its trail management system. However, after lunch, which was great by the way, full fajita lunch...things got much more exciting. 4 hours or pretty intense trails over the 360 acre park with some intimidating obstacles to challenge even the seasoned off-roader. And just when you've taken the Bronco trust fall and think it's all over, it's time for the Texas Two Step, a 2 story granite wall that the Bronco is more than capable of conquering without breaking a sweat. My wife and I got to share in the experience and we both tested our skills and had an absolute blast doing it. I was super impressed with what a straight off the factory floor Badlands Bronco could do, it is absolutely impressive. You can read all the info in the manual but to actually go out and put it to work was really incredible. If you are interested and you're a little skeptical like me, take my advice and go, you won't regret it. Don't wait, go have a great time with an incredible staff, you will not regret it!

Boy….. What an experience. I bought a 2023 Ford Bronco Wildtrak when it came it, and I’ve never taken it off roading because I literally knew nothing. Not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous beforehand, but I left feeling sad it was over! “Lucky Luke” was our trial guide, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better! You can tell he loves what he does, and he clearly explains things in a way that a person with 0 experience knows what to do. The 9 hours on the trial (plus lunch and dinner) flew by, and I’m counting down the days until I can get back into my home state to try some trials out there! Lunch and dinner were great, and offered a great opportunity to meet the fellow attendees from across the country. Everyone was friendly. If you own a Bronco, you HAVE to sign up for Bronco Off-Rodeo. Even if you are a “pro”, I feel like you’d still have a great time. The only “negative” is that, though they had lots of merchandise in their store, it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find any shirts in a L. I didn’t get to leave with the shirt that I wanted because all that was available was S and XXL.

Fantastic experience that I’d recommend for anyone who owns or is interested in owning a Bronco. Hands down Jenn “Hollywood” (Trail Guide) made this a fun and informative experience. The only trail guide to not have any drivers get stuck that day, through expert mentoring and guidance, I will certainly ask to be in Her group for future adventures. 10/10 would definitely take any available classes.

Excellent experience! My wife and I attended in April 2024 and had an absolute blast. From start to finish, everything was very well done. The location, the facilities, food and drink, etc., all very good. The training and guidance is easy to keep up with. The trail guides are awesome, super friendly folks. Our trail guide was "Cat Daddy" Dean aka Dino. Great guy. The banter he has with fellow guides 47 and ACE is hilarious, especially if / when you catch up to them out on a trail. They're very detailed oriented too, so if you're completely new to off-roading they cover the basics thoroughly, and if you have experience they aren't afraid to lean on you for some input, but certainly won't shy away from providing additional advice for you when out on the trails. We had such a good time we're eyeing another Bronco Off-Roadeo to experience it at another location!

Signed up for the half day adventure since we bought used, and it is totally worth it! The off camber areas were a total blast. Nick guided us over and through more stuff I never imagined the Bronco would go through. The 360 acres is very scenic, ponds, trees, and flowers galore. If you want to learn what the Bronco can do, and how to use the technology it comes with, you’ll love this place.

My husband and I went to the Off-Roadeo Texas facility in March 2023. We had an absolute blast! The itinerary was diverse. We were able to drive a Bronco that mirrored the one we own which allowed us to fully understand all the features we have on our Bronco but had yet to try. Ace has such a positive and fun energy about her. She was very knowledgeable about the Bronco capabilities. She was able to convey that knowledge in a manner that allowed us to master the various terrains we encountered. This heightened our learning but more importantly made the entire experience so much fun! The other Bronco drivers in our group were from Canada and other parts of the country. It was nice to get to know them throughout the day of driving and eating (the food was good too). Mike Clouds has put together a great experience with happy people who succeeded in making our adventure perfect. I hope they change the rules and allow us to return.

The experience was outstanding Our instructor Lucky was both funny and knowledgeable. The food was even great. We did things with the Bronco that were seriously eye-opening. My wife and I are thinking of doing one of the other courses.

Absolutely amazing experience. The whole thing took the entire day, but I thoroughly enjoyed every part. The entire staff was friendly, very funny, and super helpful. I learned so much on how to drive a Bronco off road and all of it's features. It was one massive and super fun tutorial. You have to purchase a Bronco (or a Badlands Bronco Sport) to go, but it is 200 percent worth it.

Yelp
Bronco Off Rodeo is awesome! I recommend everyone does this, stay at Horseshoe Bay Resort! It is amazing! They go through all great features of the new broncos. You get amazing training and then go on the course!
