The property had BEBDUGS. Besides the fact that there are homeless next door, and that the place was not as well kept as it should for the price (toilet seat moves, the sink wasn't clean, stains in the couches, it isn't well sound-isolated), we found bedbugs in the property, and we were pretty badly bitten. We found two fully grown in the blanket that goes on the bed. By then I had been bitten a few times. We reached out to Nuno who had been sort of responsive on text until then, but suddenly he went MIA. No response on the phone nor on the Airbnb messages for over 24hrs. We had to go to a hotel for the last night for obvious reasons. When we had already left Lisbon Nuno texted me saying he took it very seriously (funny he texted me in Portuguese when he speaks English, presumably to make communication more difficult. I think also he wanted me to keep texting on the phone so that I couldn't make any claims on Airbnb, as communication would be off the platform). I ended up providing photos to Airbnb and got a refund for 50%, which is definitely insufficient. Afterwards we saw that his Airbnb reviews are all 4-star or above, and the Google are much more critical (seems like there is a big cockroach problem too). I suspect he deletes Airbnb reviews, apparently you can ask to remove them. If we had checked the Google reviews from the beginning we wouldn't have stayed there. Nuno still had the audacity to say that I brought the bedbugs, and had zero concern for our safety/wellbeing.
