Really enjoyed our stay. The Italian Restaurant is excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were very friendly. Comfortable room Water and tea-making provided. Enjoyed the sound of the running stream outside our window. Didn't try the spa. However the separate swimming pool was nice-water quite warm.

The evening meal in The Strawberry Tree Restaurant was excellent. High end well executed. Service was excellent and at a pace which allowed us a relaxed meal. Breakfast food quality was very good but I think it is not at the same level as the evening meal in terms of attention to detail. Would prefer if bread was self service. Would recommend Brooklodge and would go back

An enjoyable and restful stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Great shower. Breakfasts were good - outstanding poached eggs with holandaise sauce and very good meal in their Italian restaurant. Having been built in the late 90s, some things you expect to find in a more modern building such as usb charging points and a reasonable number of electricity sockets were lacking, although an extension lead was quickly provided on request. There was also a great lack of signage. Trying to find restaurants was difficult. A map of the site would have been useful.

Attended a wedding here recently, and while the wedding itself was stunning, the hotel left a lot to be desired and honestly, we were completely ripped off by the rate they charge for staying during a wedding. ||We were charged close to €400 for a one night stay in a room that was extremely shabby. Looked like it hadn’t had any maintenance done in quite a while. It’s a 4 star hotel but the room was probably 2 star standard in terms of maintenance and upkeep. It also wasn’t very clean, the lampshade had dead bugs on it from god knows when and there were lots of other dead bugs in the room, so it mustn’t have been hoovered or cleaned very well. ||I probably wouldn’t have cared as much had we been charged a reasonable rate but I could have stayed the night in a 5 star hotel elsewhere for the same price. Unfortunately this hotel is so remote you’re left with few choices other than to stay over which is why they can charge so much. ||If you’re considering having your wedding here, keep in mind the cost for your guests if they’re not included within the small amount of rooms you’re given with the wedding rate. ||Breakfast was a let down too. You’re handed a menu and told to order so one would assume the food is cooked to order. Nope, you can expect your full Irish to come out of some sort of hot pot after being cooked hours earlier judging by the temperature, texture and look of the food. ||The only positive was that the wedding meal was lovely and staff were lovely but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay overnight here.

Whereas we enjoyed the Hotel overall, we believe that some issues need to be resolved regarding customer service. ||I reserved our room by direct telephone with the Hotel. The cost was €200 per night, total €400. Later I checked the price on your website and it was over €70 less. Their website states ‘best price guaranteed’. I raised this at reception on arrival and before I left the hotel, but was told that prices vary and nothing could be done. This is at variance with their website claim that I would receive the ‘best price’. Note that I did not go through an agency. The website also offered a dinner price that was not available in the hotel.||We found that the information given on arrival could have been better explained and this negatively affected our impression of the hotel and the facilities. Later, we found the hotel to be very nice and comfortable.||The hotel is relatively new and situated in a quiet part of Wicklow, well located to visit tourist sites.||The room was clean, large, with a comfortable bed and with a nice view of the forest. Some biscuits would have been welcome with the tea/coffee provided.||We found the spa/pool area despite being told by reception that it was across the courtyard - that is another pool.||We were given the menu for the dinner (many courses and all looked nice) but felt that €78 each was somewhat expensive so we did not go there. We later found out that we could have selected items individually from the menu. This information was not provided to us. We were not given information about the Italian restaurant. The cooked breakfast was mediocre with almost no vegetables (tomato/mushrooms/beans), the bacon was hard and the sausages were not so tasty. ||The local on-site bar was very good.

From the moment my husband and I arrived we were warmly welcomed at reception. We stayed in a suite (a free upgrade from a basic room which we were extremely grateful for - an amazing surprise!) The spa is fantastic. I had a pregnancy massage and my husband had a back massage - both were some of the best massages we’ve ever had. The thermal suite and pool is beautiful and so relaxing. We loved the food - lunch at the Waterside Lounge and the small pub on site were both delicious, takeaway pizza one night from the Italian restaurant and a three course meal there the next night. Breakfast was decent too. The staff were all friendly and attentive, maybe a little less so at breakfast but still fine. We had a really relaxing weekend and I was so glad we booked this gem of a place!

My stay Brookelodge was perfect. Situated in one of the most scenic parts of Ireland and was easy to find. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean, but best of all, it was so comfortable.|As well as the perfect bed, so was the breakfast !|The family that live in and attend to your every need, are wonderful and treat you like one of their own.| Highly Recommended

We have stayed here several times. It’s an experience, not just a hotel room. We enjoyed a very relaxing spa session, made good use of the amazing grounds and the peaceful setting. An informal light lunch on arrival, enjoying the sun outside, was delicious and excellent value for money. The open steak sandwich and freshly made carrot soup are highly recommended. The room was large and clean but here’s the buts. Some effort is needed as it didn’t live up to the former four star level. Instant coffee sachets - come on! At this price it’s not unreasonable to expect better. Too few plug sockets and no USB sockets. Little things but they are big differentiators. Breakfast was the real disappointment. I’ve had better full Irish breakfasts in motorway service stations. The black/white puddings and bacon were rock hard. I’d say most items on the plate had been cooked at least an hour earlier and had dried out on a hot plate. Shame. A nice overall experience let down by a few easy to fix points but at the price, fell short of expectations.

Yelp
Nice relaxing place to stay. I Was here 4 days for meetings. The rooms are very nice and open up to a brook running through the property. This is very out of the way and is about an hour south of Dublin and you really feel the isolation. Several different meeting spaces depending on the size of the meeting. There is wifi in almost every building on the resort and the service is fantastic. Breakfast is very good and the Italian restaurant in particular is excellent. The rooms were very comfortable to relax in and the scenery around the resort is gorgeous.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in a peaceful countryside setting. I have stayed here on two occasions (both for weddings) and both times I have had a fantastic time The staff are extremely friendly with a passion for what they do. The hotel has a great swimming pool and spa. The pub on the grounds is a great spit for a few pints. My favourite thing about the hotel apart from the grounds itself is the food which is delicious. I would definitely recommend coming here for a night or two.

Yelp
Set in the slightly makey-up village of Macreddin is BrookLodge, it is in the hills, the wilds, the middle of nowhere and it is lovely. I have been a couple of times, once staying in the main hotel (really very very nice), once in the Event accommodation set slightly away from the main hotel - comfortable & modern but lacking sole. Over all the place rocks, it is perfect for a one or 2 night getaway with lots of activities (horse riding to spa treatments) to avail of or just to sit back in the pub or go for a leisurely wander around the grounds. There is a good selection of places to dine (pub, Italian diner, strawberry tree, lounge etc...). The staff are great if not a little unorganised, you need to be very clear on requirements and have a mail trail - leaving that aside it is well worth a visit!

Yelp
Excellent location to relax with great food. Easily accessed from Dublin but real feeling of getting away. Dinner in the Strawberry Tree was first rate. Breakfast was top class.

Yelp
The hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent, in particular Gary on the front desk who went above and beyond for us throughout our stay.

Yelp
Spent a day at the spa here for a friends Hens. I don't really do spa treatments so I wasn't sure what to expect. We ended up booking a "Day at the Wells" which was a 30 minute exfoliation treatment, 30 minute back massage and 1 hour facial. We had 3 of us booked in for the same package and the way they had set it up is that each of us was having the same treatment provided simultaneously by different therapists The treatments started at 11:00am which gave us plenty of time to get a cup of tea or coffee, compliments of the spa. With the package we had purchased, we also had unlimited use of the outdoor vitality pool, aroma steam room, Jacuzzi, hydro pool, sauna and the relaxation room for the entire day. Before our treatments, we got our relaxation on in the vitality pool and let the heat soften us to our bones. The first two 30 minute treatments were back to back, but we had an hour between our last treatment and lunch at 1pm. Lunch was provided by the hotel, you had a choice of 2 courses, either a soup and a main or a main and a dessert. I had the steak sandwich which was to die for. The food was delicious, almost as good as the spa treatments. I felt VIP because we were seated in the conservatory to eat lunch as we were still lounging in our white robes. After lunch, we had time to chill again as our one hour facials didn't start until 3pm. After the treatments we sat in the recliners in the darkness, soaking up every last bit of silence. The treatments felt like heaven and the quality of the service we received was spot on. The spa itself was gorgeous, serene and felt like an escape from the rest of the world, just like it should be. Although initially €140 per person sounded like a hefty price, for a day of relaxation and to be without the ball and chain was very much worth it. Not to mention the drive through the Wicklow Mountains and Sally's Gap is breath-taking and a great way to start a spa day. We have made a pact to return to Brooklodge spa at least once a quarter to pamper ourselves and be treated like royalty!

Yelp
I stayed here in the 25/02/16 and it is beautiful. The grounds are stunning, the hotel is gorgeous and the staff are so friendly and very professional, well worth the €125 pps for a junior suite with breakfast and a 50 min treatment in the spa. Only 2 little things that stopped me from giving 5 stars. We couldn't control the heating in the room and it kept going from hot to cold ( maybe I just couldn't find it ) and the girl that gave me the massage although she was lovely the massage was only ok and when I asked for the firmest massage she could give I found it wasn't firm at all. Food was good too with 2 restaurants on site and the bar doing for aswell. All in all great stay.

Yelp
Great spot to stay. Best steak sandwich I've had too. A bit pricey at €15.50 but worth it.

Yelp
I stayed at Brooklodge for one night over the summer. My standard room was pretty much how I expected it to be, though not overwhelming, it was comfortable and particularly the bathrooms are charming with their big old-style bathtubs. The food at the Italian restaurant was superb, so is the little shop selling organic food. The seaweed conditioner is a must! As is the marmalade! I didn't go for any treatment but went to the pool. Unfortunately I could not make use of the hot-tube since it was at all time occupied. The aroma and steam room were rather small and not hot enough for my taste. The bar within the hotel is very nice and the staff working at reception are really friendly and forthcoming. The big dog which usually lies around in the lobby is fantastic, surprisingly he never barks! I would recommend the Brooklodge to people who are interested in a spa or golfing break.
