4.2 overall Great bagels and my wrap was really good. I got the hungry man, loaded with bacon & sausage, hashbrowns, egg and cheese. A decent size and normal people prices. The bagels were also insane. I went baseline and got a plain with blueberry cream cheese and my wife did plain with garlic & herb cream cheese. I would recommend getting a double toast on it as they thick. That second toast will still create a soft inside. They pile on the cream cheese with a generous amount. Literally like 2 dozen flavors to try so pick wisely or just get a couple to go. The blueberry was very fluffy and light with insane flavor and the garlic and herb matched that.

We came here and tried an everything bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese, as well as an egg bagel with lox and scallion cream cheese. Overall, I thought it was good, both the bagel and the cream cheese (very generous amount!). The service was quick. There isn’t too much seating inside, but we were able to find a table right away, luckily!

It was a good bagel. Honey bacon siracha cream cheese was good. The bagel could have been more crisp. It did kinda hurt my stomach after so not sure if they use seed oils or what. Like I liked it, but would be hesitant to come back. Also thought the bagel could have been crisper on the outside. ~$7 for bagel & specialty cream cheese. Sun AM, not an unbearable line. They have gluten free bagel options.

Stopped by to grab a bagel before an appointment nearby. There’s a separate section to place the order then you have to take your receipt to the register where you pay for your item. Then you wait at another window until they call your number. It wasn’t that busy when I went which was around 9:30am on a Saturday. I ordered a pumpernickel bagel with scallion cream cheese, lox and tomatoes. It was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of tables to sit and dine in if needed along with outside tables. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you like bagels.

The place was packed, so expect a short wait, but it’s definitely worth it! Authentic New York City bagels with many fillings and cream cheese to choose from. The egg sandwich bagel was perfectly toasted, and the fried egg and sausage patty were also delicious!

Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee continues to be my favorite bagel shop in NYC. When I lived in the area, I've tried many different bagel shops throughout the city. This has consistently been my favorite one. After moving out of the area, I continued to come back to this bagel shop whenever I'm in the city. The quality of the bagels cannot be beat. Every time I go, it is consistently good which says a lot.

Good, large bagels with many fresh, custom shmear options. Muffin was also very good, moist. Coffee was good, milk, cream, almond and oat available. Nice cashier when we went. No wait at 9 am on a Tuesday. Food came out quick. Small shop but at least 5 tables and counter seating. A few more chairs needed. 2 bathrooms. Should have someone tidying up tables and floor more often.

We were visiting from the west coast and while in town we wanted to make sure we had a chance to eat some authentic New York bagels...boy, Brooklyn Bagel really hit the spot! Our experience: - My wife and I split two bagel sandwiches: the Bkbagel Classic and the Egg Sandwich. We ordered the Classic on a multigrain seed bagel and the egg sandwich on a salt bagel. We liked that we could add two slices of cheese to the egg sandwich and have the bagel toasted. - We ordered ahead using their web site. If you do that, be sure to give yourself plenty of time since we weren't able to select a pickup time when we put in our order that was within the next hour, and then the time that ultimately showed up on our order receipt was 15 minutes later than the time that showed up on the screen when we ordered. - We arrived about 20 minutes early, and the order was already completed and sitting there waiting for us (good thing we were early of the egg sandwich would have gotten cold). - The sandwiches were the amazing! Bottom line: Brooklyn Bagel gave us an authentic New York bagel experience...we only wish we had ordered an extra bagel with cream cheese to snack on later in the day!

Pros: The spreads are absolutely delicious, and they offer generous servings! Highly recommend the Garlic Herb and Chipotle Diablo spreads. Cons: The bagels weren't toasted enough, which impacted the flavor. While I understand they were busy and focused on efficiency, a bit more attention to toasting would have been appreciated. It can get very crowded, making it challenging to find a spot. However, since it's a bagel place, most people don't linger for too long. Keep an eye out for anyone about to finish so you can grab their seat. The vibes inside the store are decent enough.

Was craving a breakfast sandwich and ended up ordering multiple due to how good it looked! The delivery was so quick and was kept amazing! I highly recommend this place for there breakfast bagels, there are many locations of this one in the city so I'm sure the consistency is the same across!

I have been dreaming about coming back To this place for their smoked salmon and avocado bagel. It is so delicious and much lighter than the traditional pound of cream cheese. It is definitely on the speedy side setting you back 30 + for two bagel sandwiches. And the line was literally out the door the whole time we were there.

When I'm in New York City, I make it a point to experience local joys - like enjoying a bagel on a crisp fall Saturday morning. And there are few better places to get a bagel in NYC than Brooklyn Bagels. Fortunately, there was a Brooklyn Bagels location along the route of my morning stroll, and I stopped by a few minutes before 10 am. There was a long line but it moved quickly. I asked the young gentleman at the counter what type of bagel I should get with my Classic (sliced nova salmon, scallion cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers); I don't like Everything bagels as they don't taste like anything! "Sesame is my favorite," he responded. Sold! For $15.95!! As I wound my way back to the front to pay for and pick up my Classic, I checked out the varieties of cream cheese and bagels they were serving. A fresh batch of strawberry cream cheese was slid in front of me as I was taking my picture. This is one amazing hustling bustling well-oiled operation! There was no place to sit, so I took my bagel to go. At the nearby Madison Square Park, I unpacked and saw how HUGE it was. I decided to eat half and save the rest for lunch. The Classic didn't blow my socks off. It was a bit dry and the bagel was not as fresh and chewy as I expected. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it, watching happy families with young kids in strollers, dogs frolicking at the dog park, and a relatively unobstructed view of the Empire State Building in the distance. Another "classic" New York City experience.

When in Rome... trust me it's worth it. You can't come to NYC without getting a bagel and so many other thing right.... Well this trip I doubled down and had one per day. My friend recommended we check out Brooklyn bagels before heading to the airport and I'm so happy we made the short walk from our airbnb. I tried the smoked salmon with green onion and chive cream cheese on an everything bagel. This.Was.IT! The flavors were exploding in my mouth but be careful the onion flavor is powerful in a good way. The bagel is HUGE so I could only eat half and saved the other half for the plane. My friends got the bacon egg and cheese croissant with honey and it was melting in her mouth (she offered me a piece and I was almost regretting not getting both. The service was rather quick for mid morning. We waited maybe 10min for our food to be prepared.

Solid breakfast place. Came here for a quick bite to eat before an appt. They have extensive menu options, ranging in different kinds of cream cheese and toppings. You order at one end of the establishment, pay in the middle and pick up near the door. They have an area for sitting, which was full but I was able to snag a seat for a departing patron. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an egg bagel with honey bacon sriracha cream cheese. It was delicious. I truly enjoyed every bite. The eggs were soft and fluffy. Bacon had the perfect crisp without being overdone and the taste of the cream cheese flavor complimented the sandwich well. I would definitely recommend.

As soon as I landed in NYC, I knew I wanted a bagel for breakfast. I found this bagel spot near our hotel and walked over. The sidewalk area is open but under construction so there was a makeshift walkway and we honestly missed the bagel spot when we used the GPS. It wasn't hard to find once we turned around! It wasn't too busy at 9am, but you order first then pay at the register. Then you wait for your order to get called. There is some seating so we were able to sit and eat. The bagels are on the pricey side but considering it's NYC it was justifiable. The bagel sandwiches are big though, so definitely couldn't finish in one sitting. Our favorite was the lox :3

Service was super quick and the bagels are fairly priced. My friend got the BK lox and I got a build my own egg sandwich for under $10. I wish I didn't get everything because it was kinda salty but the bagels were chewy and the lox quality was amazing. I liked my egg, turkey bacon, cucumber and pepper jack sandwich. The portion is also huge so definitely worth it!

I wanted to like this bagel joint. It's very convenient (right in Midtown). The bagels themselves were good (texture and all) but somehow the entire sandwich was lacking. Perhaps it's because they put less attention to detail to their fillings? Not enough spread. The egg / lox is lacking. The entire bagel itself was okay. Perhaps, check out Leon's Bagel instead. Those guys are quite good.

This place is crazy packed! Be prepared for the wait and the gruff employees. We ended up ordering bagels with eggs and cream cheese. I chose the poppyseed bagel with jalapeño Asiago cream cheese while my daughter chose a sesame seed bagel with veggie cream cheese. Both were delicious! Based on how crowded they were, we chose to walk to a park around the corner and eat there rather than sitting in that crazy environment.

When in NYC one must get a bagel and pizza. So glad I stopped here on the way to the airport. My only disappointment was that I was sandwiched in the back seat between friends and could not dig into this sandwich properly lol. Hot, fresh, just flat out good! The restaurant was the usual busy NY bagel joint. The service was quick and patient as I was a true out of Towner when ordering. I had the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant with a side of orange juice. Do youself a favor and stop in, you will not be disappointed.

We tried bagels in New York City, six days in a row, six different locations, nearly 3 different boroughs. Brooklyn Bagel was the out and out winner! Always align, but the team in this store moved us through very swiftly. Beagle quality was outstanding with plenty of spreads to make everybody happy. Enormous size, great taste, excellent chew. The store itself has a small seating inside and outdoor tables as well, but does a brisk take out menu. Offering several locations in Brooklyn and lower Manhattan provides access for all. Pricing was very good as well as the quality of the product provided.

Even though the place is always packed, the staff keeps things moving so well that I'm always surprised at how quickly I get my order. Their menu has an incredible range of options--whether you're in the mood for a classic everything bagel with cream cheese, an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, or one of their more unique creations like the lox and avocado bagel. They also have a great selection of coffees and specialty drinks that complement the food perfectly. If you're looking for high-quality bagels and quick service even during rush hours, this place is unbeatable.

Through some bagel related research on Reddit, Brooklyn Cafe came onto my radar as a must try for bagel shops in NYC. On my last day on a trip in NYC, it worked out perfectly to stop by! My boyfriend and I walked in, took a look at the menu, then ordered! We opted to order and shared an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a cinnamon raisin bagel with cinnamon raisin cream cheese. We decided to taken them to go and ate them at our hotel room. As soon as we had the chance, we dug in. My boyfriend had enjoyed the bagels we'd had whilst in NYC but immediately said this place was his favorite! For both bagels, there was a crust with a soft interior. We both began with the everything bagel as a savory start before moving on to the cinnamon raisin bagel. We were worried it'd be too sweet but it was very delicious! Overall, we really enjoyed our bagels and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Can't go to New York and not have a bagel. These were some of the best Bagels I've had to day. The size of these bagels and the freshness was something else.. I had a simple cinnamon Raisin bagel with creme cheese and that was just mind blowing. The amount of creme cheese they add is a bit too much h for my liking so maybe say light spread. But that's just me. We also tried their smoked salmon lox on an egg bagel and this thing was Massive! It was so delicious and the flavors meshed very well. They had so many selections and fun mixes so there is something for everyone. They have soups, quiches and a big selection of drinks as well love that they had fresh orange juice! As soon as you walk in the ambiance is very modern and lots of seating space.. they have moments where they fill up but you place your order and next thing you know your order is done and ready for pick up and enjoy. We had so many places that we wanted to check out to get a bagel but this one won us over! Can't wait to come back! Def a place you wanna check out!

Only in town for four days and we're looking for a great NY/NJ bagel and this is the place. Bagels were fresh and soft and numerous varieties of cream cheese combos. Service was fast and efficient, especially on this rainy Saturday morning. There are only a few tables and stools but people tended to move on after eating. Also lots of takeout.

Went on a Sunday and the shop was crazy busy but we got our food really fast. They have a great selection of spreads but I'm basic and always get plain on plain - was a solid bagel, chewy, super generous with the spread.

First time trying bagels in NYC in our trip and we came back for more!! I tried their classic nova lox salmon w everything bagel, capers, onions, and jalapeño Asiago cream cheese. Came out to $17 total but don't regret! Next day we came back to get a sweet bagel and a savory bagel. - cinnamon raisin babel w strawberry cc (next time I wanna try the blueberry) - jalapeño Asiago bagel w scallion lox cc and lox All of the bagels, spreads and toppings we tried were amazing. Bagels didn't disappoint and tasted great even the next day after refrigeration. So worth the hype!

Good solid New York style bagel. It's large, and chewy with some fluffiness in the density of the bagel. I usually order one bagel with cream cheese (garlic lovers who don't need to talk to anyone get the garlic spread) and then get one other bagel sliced. They give you so much cream cheese I can split it to the other bagel with no issues and both of them are still pretty hefty with the spread. They are busy but the line moves quick. Prices are fair for the amount of bagel you get.

Yup, HUGE fan. Got the lox bagel on an everything bagel and a coffee, which cost about $20 - seems to be the going price. SO worth it, this bagel was packed. I'm surprised I didn't make a mess while eating it. At other places when I've ordered the same thing, it was salty, but here, it wasn't at all. Amazing. Very generous with the smoked salmon. It was pretty busy on Sunday at 8 am as expected. Line moved pretty quick, a few tables in the seating area, and the order came out very timely. I'll definitely be back.

Phenomenal bagel! You can absolutely tell it was made fresh! I got the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. It's an insane amount of cream cheese, if that's your thing, I chose to take some off. Definitely would go back again!

It's my favorite bagel shop in NYC, I come every time I'm in town! Chewy and they're very generous with the cream cheese. Huge selection of cream cheese flavors available including vegan. Sometimes the line can be long, but it moves quickly and you can also order ahead online for pickup.

Came here for my first-ever NYC bagel. The line moves fast and service is top-notch. The place is ran like a well-oiled machine from door to table. There was plenty of room to sit or stand on a Monday morning before work. I ordered the lox sandwich on an everything bagel. I thought the dough was pretty dense. Not sure if that's just the style, but it left a lot to be desired on expectations. The bagel leaned heavily on onion taste. The lox was tasty. At $17, I'm glad it was thicc. It was a nice baseline bagel for my future bagel adventures. Not bad, not great. 6.5/10

I got a Cooper and it was excellent. The place was packed so there was a wait, but it was worth the wait. I will definitely be coming back to try a few more options.

Delicious bagel, exactly what I was wanting for a solid NYC bagel breakie sandwich. Had the Cooper on toasted everything bagel, a blueberry muffin and black coffee. Perfect. The Cooper is lox with avocado--superb!

I came here around 11 AM on a weekday and it wasn't busy, no line but all the seats were taken. This is a great bagel place and I would be happy to come here again! It's a pretty big bagel and I ate it as two meals, but I definitely could've finished it in one sitting if I was hungrier. I ordered a toasted everything bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese, tomatoes, and bacon. The bacon managed to stay crispy for longer than I expected, considering it was sitting between cream cheese. This combination worked great for me, but there are a bunch of possible combinations and they have a wide variety of bagels and cream cheese. The bagel was great as well, nicely toasted with a good chew/density for a sandwich bagel.

Food: 5/5 the bagels are vegan, delicious and so tasty and not to doughy which is something I don't like much when eating a bagel. I ordered the Whitefish Salad sandwich is so good. Each bite is mouthwatering from beginning to end. Service: 4/5 quick. Efficient. And clean. Ambiance: 3/5 there is ample seating but it's gets very crowded as it's in the city and surrounded by colleges and high schools.

Service was really quick, the guy who took our order was nice! This place is like an average bagel shop, has some seating and it wasn't too busy on a weekday after the breakfast rush. The filling for the bagels were good (cream cheese and tuna salad) but the bagels themselves weren't as soft and chewy as I usually like. After it got a bit cold, it got a little tough to chew.

Not my most favorite place to grab a lox bagel in NYC (still team Best Bagel & Coffee) but I'd say it's a close second. :p Nice crisp to the toasted bagel (though the bagel wasn't as lusciously toasted as the one in the header pic). Top-notch bagel tacky-chewiness. Whipped cream cheese is a little overly salty not pairing amazingly with an everything bagel (might be best to go with a plain bagel here). Decent portion of lox that's quite tasty. Pretty quick service. Most likely have to eat your food elsewhere since the place itself is quite small and is usually crowded. Overall I'd say it's worth checking out if you're still curious about it and are in the area!

No bagel expert but these are the best bagels that have ever tasted. Maybe I'm being a bit dramatic but my everything bagel with lox spread was amazing! I would come back here!

Bagel was fantastic. Felt light but had body. Green onion cream cheese also bomb, had the flavor of cream cheese but the texture the onions added made it *muah*. The onions weren't overpowering and that was the real dealbreaker.

Loved their blueberry cream cheese. Got a plain bagel, toasted with blueberry cream cheese and it was amazing. The cream to bagel ratio was perfect and it was so good. I'm salivating thinking about this. Highly recommend to stop in for a bagel and cream cheese. I'd go back to try other versions as well as hot items on the menu. Staff was super sweet and order was made promptly.

So delicious!! This spot did not disappoint at all, and lives up to the reputation of NYC bagels. I loved that they have gluten free and vegan friendly options. It does get pretty busy through out the day, but the service is quick. I ordered the salmon bagel with onions and it was amazing, I was so blown away. My partner ordered the GF mini bagel and he said he couldn't tell that it was GF. This place is great when you're in a rush and need a quick (filling) bite. Will definitely be returning.

It's a small locale, narrow and cozy. The road out front is under construction. We ordered build our own bagel sandwich. On sesame bagel, toasted, Diablo chipotle smear, fried egg, turkey slices, avocado, tomato, red onion, lettuce and cucumber, an OJ since it's been colder and windier than expected and a Hal's seltzer. $22.11 The bagel is big, glad we split it, since we don't want too much food to spoil our dinner later and in a few hours.

I was scavenging around the city for a Sunday brunch bagel, and was told this place was amazing so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was torn between wanting a bagel and cream cheese and more of a sandwich bagel - but luckily that have some sandwiches that serve both. I got the Astor on everything, which has turkey, bacon, cheese, and a spicy jalapeño cream cheese and it was everything I was hoping for. I do with there was a bit more bacon, and the turkey wasn't placed the most evenly throughout the bagel, but no biggie. The everything bagel was definitely on the salty side, but still super good. The line moves quick and they have a decent amount of seating, and overall this is a perfect bagel spot IMO.

Wow, these bagels are huge! I ordered an everything bagel with olive and pimiento cream cheese. The bagel was not toasted but still hot, likely because it is so fresh. The olive and pimiento cream cheese had a very strong flavor- so if you like olives, definitely get this. The bagel was very big - it was very heavy and they do not skimp on the schmear. I came on a Sunday and this place was very busy but they moved so quickly. They have seating inside and outside but you would need to get here early to get a seat!

This place has the best bagels I've ever had. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And all the cream cheese options will surprise you. Don't worry if the line is too long, it goes fast . The service is fast and friendly. Not a lot of seating inside, so either go there on off time or take it to go. What I love about this place is you can get so many different bagel options and so many different types of cream cheese. You could go months without having to eat the same thing.

Perhaps I popped by on an off day, but wasn't quite as impressed with my bagel this time as in my memories. I got the Cooper and found the multigrain bagel a bit too hard to chew through (though at least the crust itself was not actually rough). I also didn't quite like the multigrain flavor as much as I remembered (although the plain multigrain seeded bagel I got was still a winner). I did like the fillings though - solid lox and the avocado, onions, and capers worked well. Also got some tofu scallion cream cheese, which as it turns out, despite my love of tofu, I'm not a big fan of (regular cream cheese is much better).

Great shop for bagels! They are very efficient through the ordering process! My order came out very quickly and it was super busy. My one thing is that there aren't a lot of tables to sit at so good luck getting a spot because they are also busy! I tried their BEC and a blueberry bagel with blue berry cream cheese. Both were AMAZING Highly recommend especially if you're visiting!

Extremely packed on a Saturday late morning. I'd suggest looking at the menu prior bc it can get overwhelming with the amount of ppl & workers quick paste. Luckily, we were able to snag a table but i wouldn't bet on one during the busy weekends. I realized the thickness and chewy consistency of the bagel wasn't my preference but that's NY bagels? I got the everything bagel with sundried tomato cc and my bf built his own sandwich. Pro was that it was filling, but definitely far from the best bagels we've had. The fresh squeezed OJ was refreshing & more enjoyable than the bagels themselves.

BEST BAGEL IN NYC! I have never understood the New York bagel hype & was always underwhelmed... until coming here. I've been 4x the past week. The bagels are so fluffy, fresh and a great size with very reasonable prices. It can get super busy, but I always order online through their website - so when I arrive my bagel is always ready for me.

Or could have just been that I was there at a busy time and maybe its not always sooo crowded. You order at one end of the counter and you pay at the other end. I got a sesame bagel with scallion creamcheese. When I opened up the bagel it looked kinda stale and a little gross or old. But when I ate it, it did not taste bad at all. The Scallion cream cheese was a bit to scallionie for me though. If I am in the area and craving a bagel I would come back here but I am not going out of my way to come here. I was here with two out of town friends who enjoyey what they got. But, we all agree that they put too much cream chesse on the bagels.
