It wasn't my decision but, I ended up here with a friend of mine and his wife on my first night in Austin Texas vacation 2018. This place seemed insane, but I wasn't sure that it was one of the best.
Sure, I like pizza as much as the next person but I ended up with something other than pizza at the end of the night. I noticed the menu had a big ass sandwich, which had a cautionary notice on the menu. Seems to me that it was a challenge, so I basically had to have it. It was named the "Brooklyn Bomber" and it had a red star on the menu with "Not for the faint of heart". They weren't kidding around, but it was doable and I did it. Long story short, I actually finished that bad boy in probably 20 minutes. It definitely was delicious and a masterpiece and trying to take it down one by one, piece by piece. We arrived here on a brisk Thursday at Durden o it definitely was delicious and a masterpiece and trying to take it down one by one, piece by piece. We arrived here on a brisk Thursday evening around 7:30 PM. The place was pretty packed with plenty of patrons at the restaurant, so we were escorted to the middle of the restaurant and it was pretty cool, even though it was warm and toasty inside. We probably spent about an hour and a half here for our meal, drinking, talking, just enjoying life while I was on vacation. Fun times and good food to be had here.
It was the calm before the storm, aka the 2018 Cowtown marathon up in Fort Worth TX later that weekend and stuffing my face with the Brooklyn bomber was one of the things to do before that day. No regrets here, but a full stomach and a happy heart with great company. I didn't think I would have eaten it all in one sitting, but here I was doing so. The toughest part was the bread, but I got it all down. Where's my medal? Where's the prize? For the most part though, the reward was just finishing, like everything else. The overall experience here at Brooklyn Heights Pizzeria in Austin TX was pretty entertaining and I had fun here, especially with the food and great company. The restaurant was busy and amazingly well run and buzzing with activity. The weather was cool outside, but the restaurant was warm inside. The restaurant is located at 14900 Avery Ranch Blvd here in Austin Texas. They accept major credit cards, which is always nice for us travel people and those of us on the go. They have a private parking lot here, so best bet is to get here before the rush to partake in some good eating.
For the most part though, I did enjoy myself here at Brooklyn Heights Pizzeria with friends. The beer was legit and the Brooklyn bomber seemed too powerful to take down, but I showed it who's boss! No fan fare after finishing, which was a shame though. The menu was pretty extensive and thought about a pizza, but ended up with the Brooklyn bomber just to see if I got a chance to eat it. The bomber was delicious and very much a challenge to finish! It's basically a very large sandwich! And it had bacon in it! Delicious and mouth watering indeed! So after all that, I would like to say that this experience at Brooklyn Heights Pizzeria was absolutely fun and good. While it can be average, it's above average when you come here with great friends and have an evening out together. Here I was on vacation and decided to come here. Best believe it is a good experience. Recommended if you are in the Austin area and craving for pizza, pasta, or wanting to try out the Brooklyn bomber. I enjoyed my time here and hope you will too. With beer. :)
4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.0 stars for the food and service. Friendly and attentive.
