Let me start off by saying this review is LONG OVER DUE.
I hate leaving bad reviews and always give the benefit of the doubt, but the last time I went here was the last time I allow this cashier to treat me so poorly.
I've been going here since I moved to the neighborhood about 3 years ago. The ONLY reason I continue to go is because the smoothies are AMAZING and the people who make them are so sweet and polite. The sandwiches are a hit or miss, but pretty good. In general, things are over priced but thats what you get in that area.
However, the two girls who work the cashier are literally the rudest people. One much more so than the other. Every time I go I am reminded of how insanely rude she is, which deters me from wanting to go there again. I leave wanting to boycott it. So, I stop going for weeks or months and end up going back because I need to grab something quick and like I said, the food and smoothies are pretty good and it's a block away. BUT each and every time I go I am reminded on just how rude these individuals are. Again, one more than the other, who is the reason I finally decided to write a review.
Half the time she's busy talking to her friends while I'm waiting to pay.
If I ask a question, THE RUDEST response. Sometimes I even say hello or have a good day to try to be the bigger person and no response, just attitude. It's disgusting that she feels so entitled to treat people this way. I'm literally shocked that her manager hasn't addressed it by now. Maybe she's close to the owner? I don't know, but I can't think of any other reason a manager would allow such behavior... and after reading some other reviews, I see it's not just me.
You can get decent food almost anywhere in NYC, especially Brooklyn, the service has a big impact on how your customers feel about your establishment. This kind of customer service discourages people from going.
