Only lost one star because we unfortunately chose the smallest caravan and although shower great, tinsy sink and tiny space to squeeze past to get to toilet! Otherwise caravan perfect for our needs. Staff nothing too much trouble and guest house itself and food excellent . We'd definitely come to stay again. Perfect position for exploring on foot. Thank you!

My first solo night stay and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience here!||All the staff were lovely and made me feel very welcome. I booked this place on the day of travel at a very reasonable price, and they were still accommodating enough to give me a later check out time with no extra charge.||The guy on the night shift was an absolute legend and chatted to me for a while when I got back from a night out, he immediately made me feel at ease.||No complaints with the room itself either (king room). It was a decent size and very clean despite having mixed reviews. Comfortable/soft bed, plenty of storage and a full length mirror. ||The location is right in the heart of the bars, restaurants and shops, but secluded enough to provide privacy. I was out for majority of the night so I can’t comment on the noise, but the courtyard seems to separate the street from the place very well to drown some of this out. I felt very safe with separate keys for the gate, the reception and my room. ||If I wanted to be nitpicky, the shower pressure wasn’t amazing and there was no hand soap in the room, but this wasn’t an issue as I’d brought my own. The room was very warm and they provide a small fan for this. I can imagine on the hotter days this would be uncomfortable as there is limited airflow. I fell asleep with the windows closed and fan off, so it was a little stuffy when I woke up.||Overall though my stay at Brooks really surprised me, I feel like this is a hidden gem. It was exactly what I needed and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

I had an amazing stay with my friends, room was very clean and I loved the outdoor area!! The breakfast was fantastic, which was much needed after a night out because the location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. It’s far enough away that you don’t have to sleep and hear all the Bristol night life noise, but still walking distance from all of the best clubs and pubs!! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay, or a fun night out because it offers both!

Overall it's a great place and slightly quirky (it's Bristol!). The location is great but you have to be careful about noise. I asked for a quiet room but was given 17 which is directly over a pub terrace which stays busy until 2 am. Not so much of a problem in winter if you keep the windows closed, but if you need them open in summer, it's very noisy, also again at about 5:30 when deliveries etc start up

We stayed here for one Monday night in August. The room (no.20) was very nice and comfortable, not huge but sufficient for what we needed. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's very central and near a few bars so suspect at weekends it might be a bit noisy. The breakfast was excellent and usual hotel style tea and coffee facilities in room along with complimentary shower gel etc . Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed here over night on a Saturday, firstly the check in was really smooth. I was early but able to drop my bags off & return later. The room was slightly difficult to find, there is a lift - but from the ground floor no signage to the lifts so took the stairs. The room itself is a decent size… now for the not so great…. I was allocated room 7, it’s clean and tidy, comfortable beds, the toile my just isn’t functional not real though has gone into the design of it! You and practically kissing the radiatior when sat in a normal position on the toilet, therefore have to side saddle it. The room overlooks the Slug and Lettuce Bar & Reveloution. There is music non stop all day - and of an evening till 3am. Granted you can tell they have invested in some sound proofing, so the noise is slightly lower but if your a light sleeper I can see how it would ruin you sleep.

Easy to find , wonderfully helpful staff , nice sized room , however the bathroom could’ve been cleaner and the room itself had a faulty door handle which made the room hard to open and lock . The location is great in the day , however as a woman I felt unsafe leaving at night this was due to the sheer amount of drug addicts/ alcoholics in the area ,in addition the noise coming from the street made it impossible to sleep

Easy to find , very central , I closed windows and blinds which kept noise out. Asked for new pillows as 2 smelled of perfume and others were musky smell but told they had none and that the cases were clean, it must be the pillows. So I wrapped towels on them to sleep . Kettle smelled disgusting and burnt inside so could not use

Yelp
This was a super cute place to stay in Bristol...which was also one of our favorite spots on our UK trip. The rooms were probably the most nicely decorated of anywhere I stayed in the UK on this trip. There is a small kitchen downstairs where you can pay for breakfast. The staff are very friendly. I think the best part was definitely the extremely convenient location. The gated entrance to the hotel basically drops right off at st nicholas market...an outdoor hallway basically with permanent food stands. We ate here all 3 days in Bristol and the food is super delicious and affordable.
