Decent size room with large comfy bed and nice shower room. The kettle was missing and couldn't find the tv remote. The door to the shower room needs a dam good clean, some sort of stcky residue on it. Attention to detail lacking. Ideally situated for Beacon Bristol and the Hippodrome but as its down a dark alley it was a bit scary at night if on your own. Could do with more lighting, I bet its lovely in the summer as it has a pretty little courtyard for sitting out in.

Was a really lovely stay in the middle of Bristol, right next to a food market. We stayed in a rocket, a unique experience that was really fun. Comfy bed, hot shower, pretty enjoyable to wake up and step out onto a roof and see and hear Bristol. If you book with them directly breakfast is included, the chef was great, food was cooked fresh for us and the cold breakfast (cereal etc.) was good. Staff were friendly, and very helpful. Would recommend if you're looking for something unique and a bit of fun.

This is a friendly character place in the heart of Bristol and we really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Helpful staff, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast were all appreciated by us. The location was great for exploring and the discounted parking arrangement was good as we were aware that city centre parking would be expensive. I would always choose independent businesses over the big chains and we would come back.

This was our second stay at Brooks Guesthouse, and was our first stay in one of the bedrooms (our first stay was in one of the Airstreams on the roof). We opted for a Small Double as our plans were to be out and about enjoying Bristol so wanted somewhere comfy to lay our heads. Room 11 served this purpose perfectly. Spacious enough for a short break with everything you could need. Very well insulated, we slept with the window open all night! Room is in a good condition, although a few bits of furniture need replacing due to chips and breaks. The bed also needs tightening as it was a little bit squeaky. The staff at Brooks are lovely, and always so friendly, especially the lovely chap on reception. Book direct and breakfast is free. It's one of the best breakfasts I've had in Bristol and certainly sets you up for the day!

Only lost one star because we unfortunately chose the smallest caravan and although shower great, tinsy sink and tiny space to squeeze past to get to toilet! Otherwise caravan perfect for our needs. Staff nothing too much trouble and guest house itself and food excellent . We'd definitely come to stay again. Perfect position for exploring on foot. Thank you!

We stayed here for one Monday night in August. The room (no.20) was very nice and comfortable, not huge but sufficient for what we needed. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's very central and near a few bars so suspect at weekends it might be a bit noisy. The breakfast was excellent and usual hotel style tea and coffee facilities in room along with complimentary shower gel etc . Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I had an amazing stay with my friends, room was very clean and I loved the outdoor area!! The breakfast was fantastic, which was much needed after a night out because the location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. It’s far enough away that you don’t have to sleep and hear all the Bristol night life noise, but still walking distance from all of the best clubs and pubs!! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay, or a fun night out because it offers both!

We went for our mini honeymoon as we've stayed here twice before. The staff, food and service are all excellent but the hotel is showing it's age. I was really disappointed with our room as it was tiny and not as clean as expected for the cost of our stay. Firstly the the door going into the room was grubby and the handle was loose so that put me off a bit. The bathroom was very small and I couldn't sit on the toilet properly as the radiator was in the way. I'm quite a skinny person so I think a larger person would really struggle in there. The shower cubicle wasn't that clean, neither was the rest of the bathroom and room, what there was of it. Once we put our suitcases in, there was very little room to move around and we kept banging ourselves on the bed just walking around it. There was no wardrobe just hooks on the walls for clothes and some of those were broken or missing. Furniture was scruffy and poor quality with water damage to the bathroom cabinet and paint peeling off the bed. We asked for a honeymoon package and got a bottle of prosecco, a small box of chocolates and for £30 I felt a bit ripped off. The courtyard although private with tables and chairs was not very tidy and run down. It could do with a jet wash and good tidy. I could go on! In summary then, friendly staff, good food, service and location. Small grubby room, hotel in general a bit grubby. Very disappointed and will be staying elsewhere in future as our room was not value for money especially considering the cost of other hotels in the area.

Yelp
This was a super cute place to stay in Bristol...which was also one of our favorite spots on our UK trip. The rooms were probably the most nicely decorated of anywhere I stayed in the UK on this trip. There is a small kitchen downstairs where you can pay for breakfast. The staff are very friendly. I think the best part was definitely the extremely convenient location. The gated entrance to the hotel basically drops right off at st nicholas market...an outdoor hallway basically with permanent food stands. We ate here all 3 days in Bristol and the food is super delicious and affordable.
