Overall it's a great place and slightly quirky (it's Bristol!). The location is great but you have to be careful about noise. I asked for a quiet room but was given 17 which is directly over a pub terrace which stays busy until 2 am. Not so much of a problem in winter if you keep the windows closed, but if you need them open in summer, it's very noisy, also again at about 5:30 when deliveries etc start up

This guesthouse is a brilliant find. Its location is fantastic for exploring the City and the array of bars and restaurants nearby not to mention the street food in St Nicholas Market. |The rooms are very shabby chic and we were lucky enough to stay in one of the 4 airstream rockets on the rooftop very unique experience. |Kyle the hotel manager was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble for him.|The breakfast was amazing with a cook to order menu and a variety of options.|Would highly recommend

What a disappointing experience. The staff are very good & helpful. So this is no criticism of them but the design & management of the business. The staff allowed us to park our motorcycle within the courtyard which was a massive plus point. However to get to the accommodation was a nightmare due to pedestrian zones etc.|The room is SO SMALL we could hardly move around. The sink is a "cloakroom" item that you cannot use for shaving. The fact that it was partially blocked did not help. The toilet is next to the heated towel rail that you burn your leg on when going to the toilet. I'm a porker so a 44" waist is not good when trying to get into the shower. Door handles falling off, window handles falling off, pillows without any substance at all and it was TIGHT round the bed.|Breakfast was good, not great. Honesty bar good, hygiene good. We checked out early. I would have loved to give a good review in particular considering the location and staff but they need to WAKE UP! As your sleeping on the job.

Great stay for me and my partner as a birthday trip via Wowcher. When we arrived, the receptionist was very helpful. Our room was lovely, the bed was nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and the shower had plenty of towels. The breakfast staff were particularly helpful and made us both fantastic meals. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for somewhere cosy and and quiet in Bristol!

A lovely quaint B&B in the heart of Bristol. Very pleasant staff and efficient . All amenities catered for . In the centre of an interesting market area but no noise was heard in the night. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. It was nice talking to Josh who was working but still spent time with us and told us about the place . It was amazing to see that he also cooked all the breakfasts in the morning. All served like clockwork in a light and airy room by attentive staff. Car parking was off site but not far away. And you can leave baggage before check in time. Would go again.

We only stayed one night, but it was perfectly located for our gig at the Thekkla. Staff were helpful and polite. We stayed in the rocket on the roof, quaint and spotlessly clean. My only negative is that the radiator was scorching hot, so hot that I leant against it accidentally (obviously the rocket wasn't the biggest to move around in) and paid the price of a massive burn to my bumper and leg for the privilege 🙈 (lesson learned). So just be aware and ask the staff to turn down the heat if you get there and it's too hot. Breakfast the next morning was beautiful, so much choice from continental, full cooked breakfast and specials. Would definitely return.

Really sad to write this review as have stayed twice previously and loved it. We checked in and asked for two sets of keys and told we could only have one set. My husband and I had different plans and needed two sets of keys. The man on reception was very unhelpful. ||We booked one of the airstream caravans as soon as we walked in the smell was vile! It was like cat pee. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work so the moisture from the shower had accumulated. The toilet roll was not on the handle as I lifted it up there were two poo finger prints on the spare roll 🤢 There were also some white stains on the sofa area. As I opened the door to go to complain the rubber seal fell off the door! ||Once again the receptionist was incredibly unhelpful and said they only had one room left which was a small double, no apology or anything. ||We changed rooms but it still smelt of damp and was very hot! We had to sleep with the windows open and the fan on in February! ||We checked in for breakfast and the same receptionist was helping with breakfast. He served everyone else but us. His hair was long and very messy and he was handling food which was unhygienic. Breakfast was terrible! ||We will never return. Better hotels in Bristol!

Where do I start, the room (number 25) stank of damp and urine. We had to open the windows as soon as we got in. The room was mouldy, damp, cramped and the bathroom covered in limescale. Loose light fightings, missing coat hooks, out of date PAT testing, peeling wallpaper, broken blind slat and broken toilet seat. The damp was so overwhelming that we had to sleep with the windows open all night and the noise was awful! We didn’t sleep, the bed that was the type that sunk in the middle. The towels smelt musty and damp. After looking at another review, the owners have said this room was taken offline and fixed but it obviously wasn’t. Absolutely disgraceful. We have taken exactly the same photos as the man who left a review before. No fixing carried out and the room is still in a disgusting state. The whole hotel smelt like cooking fat and damp.

Yelp
This was a super cute place to stay in Bristol...which was also one of our favorite spots on our UK trip. The rooms were probably the most nicely decorated of anywhere I stayed in the UK on this trip. There is a small kitchen downstairs where you can pay for breakfast. The staff are very friendly. I think the best part was definitely the extremely convenient location. The gated entrance to the hotel basically drops right off at st nicholas market...an outdoor hallway basically with permanent food stands. We ate here all 3 days in Bristol and the food is super delicious and affordable.
