We went to Brooks lake to go fishing and fell in love with the place. There were families there camping and having a great time. Swimming is allowed in the designated area. You can rent fishing boats and paddle boats to get to those hard to reach places. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it for those looking for a great getaway.

It is a very clean and peaceful place I really enjoyed it. There’s no one at the gate , but owner (Sunshine) will come ,greet you and collect $10 per adult.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Camp anywhere along the lake or in the woods! Nice area to swim, the bathrooms were kept up, and lots of outdoor activities. Definitely coming back here!

This is a gorgeous place for camping. The grounds are well maintained and it is possible to have privacy. We were able to find a perfect spot by the lake and it was so peaceful. Also, the owner is incredibly friendly and attentive. We will be back.

Nice facility. Nice grounds. Be careful with fun/noise balance. I brought a camper in from outdoorsy.com. Brent was the best to pull the camper and the camper was super nice!

If you enjoy camping and are fully prepared for weather then you’ll love this place! We wanted to take the kids camping for spring break and everywhere was booked up. I did more searching and came across this hidden gem of a place. The owners met us upon arrival and they were so kind and laid back. They led us to our site and made sure we were happy with it. They sell firewood and ice for a reasonable price. We chose primitive style camping (no electricity, no water). The site was spacious and perfect for an 8-10 person size tent. The views are beautiful no matter where you set up. They do have bathrooms (be prepared to walk depending on where you set up). We booked for 3 nights and unfortunately with 2 kids and two dogs we were not fully prepared for the cold after having such nice weather recently. One of our pets also busted one of the air mattresses. We came to the conclusion that we just couldn’t hack it and decided to leave early. The owners noticed the empty site before I had time to let them know and they reached out to make sure everything was ok. We will definitely be back when it’s warmer and be better prepared for camping!

Yelp
The property is gorgeous. I enjoy the fishing now. If you are Caucasian, you will probably have a good time by myself. I am followed around. I don't understand. Is it because of my complexion at any rate, I know the test this place and I will never come here

Yelp
As stated in two of the previous reviews, the family that operates this park presents as polite, but is actually incredibly rude. I left an honest review of our stay and their strange check in/payment process/fees and conditions of the lake on a different camping app and was met with harassment over it. When I told the owners that the should be more clear in their listing, I was told I am "Maybe reading impaired, maybe not" Save your money and go camp at a State Park with clean water to recreate in, without all the bogus upcharges and people looming over you your entire stay.

Yelp
Just 45 min outside Atlanta you will find this header gem. My wife and I went camping here this weekend. We had a terrific time. We paid $40 USD a night for the camping ground. There are bathrooms and electrical outlets around the camping area! So guess you won't run out of battery any time soon. There is fishing, paddle boats, kayaks, wave runners for a fee. I paid $35 for a fishing boat for the day. In addition, there is swimming, volleyball, basketball, and baseball free of charge! Just bring your own equipment. Jackie the owner was amazing she was there from moment one we showed up. Called us once a day to make sure we were ok and see if we needed anything. This place is great for corporate retreats, camping or just spending the day.

Yelp
This is a really really nice park. Great for views and fresh air. I do share some of the same sentiments as in previous reviews, besides the customer service. Bill and Kade were kind to me and my guests and provided good customer service. However, after all of the excitement and determination to make the weekend great for The Husband's 50th, I don't think I will return. It was a very difficult balance to celebrate in such a quiet calm place. We were asked not to play loud vulgar music, but the aux was passed and there it goes. Bill wasn't rude but...I don't know. The issue was resolved and we still ended up having a great time. In hindsight I am feeling the cost for the rental of the pavilion was a bit expensive with no contracts and such...I don't know, but because I had such a great time it's a shrug ‍ I still liked it better than renting a section in the club. The pavilion is really nice and huge with several fire pits conveniently placed to enjoy your stay. They sold me a stack for the pits for $20. We had a trailer pulled to the camp site for $45 a night. Make sure you confirm the size and amps needed. It was almost an issue. I'm a novice at camping. The paddle boats could use an update/upgrade. I would recommend you go here if you want to camp not party we had our friend pull a truck in for some good BBQ all of his cuisines ate great though! The camper was rented through Better Travels LLC, Rhett or go to outdoorsy.com. Rhett was amazing!!! He was professional and safe . He and his driver worked out complications with the sight to place the camper due to miscommunication. Thanks Rhett!!!!

Yelp
Beautiful secluded lake with picnic benches. This is my go- to summer spot. The people who own the lake are very nice.

Yelp
I've visited this lake for recreation, went out on a boat on the lake and it was simply gorgeous. This is a private park, not government run so it will be a different experience. You do have to pay, it is run by a family, and they have their rules. I did see some unruly people there, so obviously they do need address that for the sake of the grounds and other paying guests, but the family was always polite and courteous to me and mine. We actually rented the park and pavilion for a large event a couple of times and we had a great time. I think if you ask for and follow the rules, treat the park and the attendants well, you will have a great time.

Yelp
I had a horrible experience. I've been a few times out of convenience but i won't be back. The people who work there are rude and unprofessional with absolutely no customer service skills, not that you think they would need much, it being a lake but they pick on you. Even if you are splashing around innocently in the water. The price changes at the gate seemingly according to how whoever approaches your car is feeling that day.

Yelp
You have to pay to go in this park there is a dead deer in the lake, the people who own it are rude, also it's a park but they say it's private property

Yelp
Brooks lake is the absolute best! Jackie, the owner, is the sweetest. We camped for three days; had an awesome time. She made sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. The lake is the most serene and peaceful place you'll ever camp! We will ALWAYS stay here when we are nearby. There's never too much of a crowd; the fish are always flopping out of the water. They have restrooms and a dedicated swim area; a "beach," fire pits, tons of picnic options, etc. I honestly can't say enough about how amazing this tucked away lake is! It now has a special place in our hearts, and so does Jackie! Just a million stars!
