Came across this lovely vineyard with the intention of having lunch after a hike around the hills. Our intention was to dine at your restaurant, but unfortunately your service clearly didn’t reflect that we were welcome. We were shocked by the greeting and service we received by (assumed manager of the venue). We were asked if we had a booking, we did not, however we kindly requested to have a look at the menu (she couldn't locate a menu and went to look for one, she then came back and asked her staff to locate a menu for us!) as we started to look at the menu she hesitantly explained this was a set course menu emphasizing the costs and had presumed this may not be a place for us to eat at as she then added this isn't a venue where you can order a steak, burger or chips! We then asked if we could be seated at a table. We spent more than 5 minutes to digest what the menu had to offer, however this experience left us with a bad taste!
A real shame. I am leaving these comments hoping that no one else will have to go through the same horrible experience, and that you will treat your next customers politely. I can assure you that with a little bit of compassion towards your customers will bring you the positive reviews you are seeking. “Treat others how you want to be treated”
