It’s a very classic and retrograde from a 1930s type of feel. Feel was very good, lunch. Had the French dip, so good and homemade blueberry pie, served cold, would rather it was warm but still delicious.

The fried chicken was a bit overrated since it could use some more seasoning, the breast was a little bit dry. At least the breading was well-seasoned. The sides especially the fruits were overrated to since the pears had a slight mealy texture to it. On the bright side, the mashed potatoes and creamed corn were delicious along with the rolls. The cole slaw was a little too sweet. The ice cream however was not very creamy since there were some ice chunks in it. The dining room was well-decorated with late 19th-century era furnishings and decorations. The experience was good since I've came in with an empty stomach, left with my stomach full at the end of the meal including ice cream, and the staff were friendly.

Not tourist friendly. The lady at the counter was not helpful explaining the family style dinning. No written menu about the prices or what food choices were and you had to pay before you go in. For the price we decided to try the tavern side. Fries, onion rings and chicken tenders were not homemade. This place was recommended, but we were disappointed.

We had been here several times in the past & it was wonderful. This was our 1st experience since new ownership & it was awful. The hostess was extremely rude & tried to over charge us. The food was not at all the same as it used to be. My daughter bit into her chicken & it was not at all cooked. They then brought us out more since over half of the chicken was not cooked. The new chicken was bloody as well. The place was about 80 degrees. Just a horrible, horrible experience. I will say our waitress was very nice & really wasn't at all surprised that our food wasn't prepared properly so that says something. So disappointing as this place was once a family favorite.

I gave a 3 star rating because the lady in the front was rude! We haven't been there since Munsons came in so wasn't sure where to sit/eat for the taphouse. She never asked or mentioned it either. There is no signage either outside or that you can enter from the outside around the bldg. But once we got back to the taphouse. The man serving us was very nice. Quick. Not sure if he was working alone but it was getting busy. The food was great, however I got cheese on my burger but when I asked what came on it, cheese was never mentioned. I asked for all the other items on the side. So plain burger. I didn't send it back. Overall would try again and park on the side. I think they serve breakfast all day as well.

I give this 5 stars because the entire experience was wonderful! We were seated and asked what meat we'd like to have and our drinks We ordered the beef and the chicken. It was all delicious and big portions! Our server had several tables but she kept our drinks full, was friendly and let us know the status of our food. The hotel and restaurant were very clean and beautiful. You can tell the food was homemade and quality made. And the ice cream was a special added touch.

Everything was great except I think that the hostesses/cashier may have had a long day!! She was rude to a couple that came in right at 7 or a couple of minutes afterwards. She kinda snapped at them, "we're closed"! Myself and another couple weren't even seated yet. We both thought, why not two more people!! The lady even mentioned that either their voicemail or Google showed them open until 9. She snapped back, that's the Taphouse! They had traveled over 30 minutes to get there! Now for the food, it was very good, fresh, hot and crispy chicken. The sides were good as well. I wasn't able fan of the coleslaw, but other than that it was great. It was too sweet for my taste. The waitress and waiter were very friendly and attentive. Definitely will go back, but earlier in the day.

Just as good as advertised. The fried chicken dinner was plentiful, crispy and juicy. The biscuits tasty. Dinner included corn, Cole slaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. More than half had to be packed up to bring home. So delicious!!
