Feels weird to gush over airport BBQ but this place really surprised me. I got the brisket, Mac and cheese, and French fries with hush puppies. Seriously, better brisket than I’ve had at 90% of most smokehouses. The sides were also great and the BBQ sauce was as tangy and perfectly complimented the food. Portions were huge, the service was super fast (especially compared to the long Chick Fil A next door). The guy who helped me out was kind, quick and had good recommendations. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly great quality BBQ 🍖 at the Airport! The pulled pork was tender, juicy, Smokey and good. The brisket was better than average. Thick cut fries were pretty good but not the freshest on this visit. Green beans were so-so. Cole slaw was good. Beer was good. Buns were soft and good quality. Saw was good. Service was swift and pretty good.

Food was excellent! I got brisket + chopped chicken, fries, beans + hush puppies . All were excellent especially for an airport food place. Staff was less than welcoming but fine for take away service. Line had one person, quick compared to others. Optimal choice to avoid gluten.

The food was visually appetizing, but did not transfer to the taste buds. The service received in getting it, possibly played a part. The servers were very rude and short with each client before and after me and had attitudes for no fault of the clients, that I observed. Customer service was a zero and the food was a one. Edible, but don't waste your time.

A must go to if you have a layover in Charlotte. I found it the closest choice to local food in the airport. Deep fried pickle was delicious!! I had the Brisket Sandwich which was tasty to say the least. Enjoy!!!!

If you want good barbecue with nice portions, come here. The BBQ is good enough to eat without sauce and it's tender and flavorful from thee first to the last bite. The fried okra is better than Church's. The fried pickles had a nice flavor and the breading did not overpower. Overall, a good representation of what BBW in the South is supposed to taste like.

I was searching for something gluten-free or friendly as possible in an airport because I left my meal behind before catching a 10 hr flight. The employee was cleaning and paid no attention to me standing, patiently waiting - although he saw me as I walked up to order. After a few minutes, he says, "Do you want to order something?" I started to walk away, but because my options were limited, I opted for the pulled pork, green beans, and baked beans only to be informed that the sides I wanted were unavailable. I ended up with mashed potatoes, no gravy, and collard greens. The greens were piping hot, and after adding a pack of Splenda and pepper, they were pretty good. The pork and potatoes were lukewarm at best. Overall, it was an okay meal, and I didn't get glutened. I wouldn't rush back on my next flight unless I didn't have access to better, more customer friendly options beforehand.

It's been 6 days since I've been back from my business trip and I'm still thinking about that brisket sandwich on my lay over at Charlotte Douglas international Airport. Most people yearn their entire life for someone to think about them in such an endearing manner the way I think about that brisket sandwich from Brookwood Farms Carolina Pit BBQ. After an extremely busy week, in the final stretch of a long travel day.. I found myself in a dilemma. I had thirty minutes until my next flight boards and I had to make a difficult decision: Brookwood Farms Carolina Pit BBQ or Cinnabon. I decided to go savory over sweet, and it was the best decision I made the entire trip. As I watched the lovely lady behind the counter pick the pieces for my sammy, she hit me with the most adorable "And your feexins?" to which I chose corn. The brisket was cooked perfectly and tasted phenomenal especially with that BBQ sauce they had up front. The side of corn was surprisingly crunchy and sweet. If you're in the mood for barbecue, I highly suggest buying a plane ticket, going through TSA and hitting up Brookwood Farms Carolina Pit BBQ at Charlotte Airport. I will be back on my next trip. I only hope you think of me as much as I think of you.
