What a wonderful and soothing place ! Of course you are in nature so there are mozzies, flies and wildlife but that's why we are looking for :) Lovely team, passionate people, beautiful surroundings, lots of birds and clean place. There is a nice vibe out there, more if you are a bird nerd like me. The office is full of interesting books and beautiful t-shirts and other things to bring back and support them. Will be definitely back !

The scenery and birds are amazing. We had a wonderful afternoon tour with assistant warden, Dave. Sebastian picked us up and we even had a a great birding experience en route to the Observatory. Both Sebastian and Dave are extremely knowledgeable, and the afternoon spent with Dave was amazing. We saw 36 species (many of them lifers for us), including some beautiful very co-operative yellow chats (only 3 m away)!! Thanks to Dave, Sebastian and Jamie for a memorable experience. We will definitely be back the next time we are in your neck of the woods!

We spent an amazing three nights at the Observatory from 12-15 June and really enjoyed our stay. Base and Jamie have a huge amount of knowledge about the area and the wildlife and are the ideal people to be wardens here. The assistant wardens were extremely helpful and friendly, picking us up from the airport, dropping us back at our next accommodation and providing a ton of information about the birds and lizards throughout our stay. We stayed in the chalet, which was very comfortable and spacious, had a great shower and had everything we needed to cook our meals and relax with a wine at the end of each day. It was wonderful to have a chance to see so many new species of birds, especially for my partner who is a nature photographer and got some amazing shots. The highlights for me were the Mangrove tour and getting to see a monitor lizard just before we left, who wandered through to get a drink of water from one of the bird baths. The mosquitoes were endless, and I definitely recommend bringing a lot of repellent and thick clothing if you go! We loved our visit and will definitely be returning :) Thanks for a great stay, guys.

I didn't stay in this place. I walked around and went to the beach. It's an amazing place for bird watching and walking. If anyone loves nature, they would love this place. It has amazing colours of water and small cliff sides. I loved this place. Next time, I would stay and enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings!

Amazing wild corner of Broome, so full of bird life and other creatures. So peaceful as well, the observatory has camp sites in the middle of the bush that'll make you feel very connected with nature. We took the Mangroves Birdwatching Tour and was great! Olivia our guide was very knowledgeable and brought us through an amazing adventure looking for different bird species. The area is packed with shorebirds, some birds of prey and bush birds, beautiful natural richness. Definitely recommend paying a visit if you're a nature lover.

What an amazing place, so much to see for avid bird watchers. Make sure you time your visit to the incoming tide to get the best view of the shore birds. Then spend some time in the hide and shade area to get a great up close bird experience.

Loved the red sandy unsealed road to the Observatory. You can use campground facilities like flush toilets and shade house ( Camp kitchen). Information Center was air-conditioning and entrance fee is payable but didn't went due to time shortage. Went for 800m beach access walk and there is another 2km walk. Best to go early morning or late afternoon for bird watching.
