So Cozy, impressed by the artist artworks and high art standard in the other gallery. Nice coffee and brownies. Welcomed environment. You can also sit there and paint. 🎨❤️

Absolutely recommended - the highlight of my trip to Uppsala 🇸🇪 - I have never been to such an authentic, homely and cosy home-turned museum, so cosy as if Bror Hjorth may be returning home anytime. As if my visit is an invasion of his privacy. They hardly changed anything in his house, not just where the furniture and books were placed, but also where he positioned his paintings and sculptures. Here I am, having just my shoes covered in protection, in where he used to paint, rest and eat. That experience is strangely intimate. Another lovely surprise is how violin was a central object in plenty of his works. I learnt from the museum workers that he grew up surrounded by fiddlers and local music in the Älvkarleby municipality. It goes without saying that he liked the instrument and certainly enjoyed being around fiddlers but I was pretty certain he played the violin himself - this has been confirmed after spotting the few broken violin bows at the corner of his studio. He also owned a baroque violin bow 🎻💙 Also a big shoutout to the team there ❤️ the friendliest, most hospitable and loveliest people I have ever met at a museum. The museum itself is great enough and the staffs make the experience so much better!

A truly vibrant and complete gallery of Bror Hjorth's work, a very satisfying visit even for those who know nothing about him, with lovely welcoming and knowledgeable staff, just remember to put shoe covers on! Strongly recommended

I've been there plenty of times now, and I always loved it. The last time was yesterday, with my baby son for the children's tour. The people working there are super friendly. While we waited for the tour to start, I had fika while the super nice women working at the front desk "talked" to my son. The tour was nice, thank you, Maria!

To move around in the artist's house, atelier and see so many of the works up close is a treat. Great staff adds to the experience and for an art museum it's very family friendly.
