So Leithers did indeed rejoice when Bross came to Leith Walk in 2018. In her own words, Canadian owner Lara (AKA ‘Mama Bross’) opened her first shop because of “extreme desperation... I was tired of waiting for a visitor from Montreal to smuggle me bagels”. The results are outstanding - there’s nowhere else in the city (and probably Scotland) where you can get such authentic North American bagels with all the toppings.
