A very cute little ice cream shop, where they are still making the waffle cones by hand, and you can watch how they are prepared. The ice cream was good too, good quality, nothing extraordinary, and price was also fine with around 60 DKK for 3 scoops. It is very popular so prepare for a queue but the service is quick and kind.

We have always bought ice cream at Brostræde Is, when we are in Helsingør and we will probably do it again but not a small soft ice, and you pay 9 kroner extra for a spoonful of guf. That is too much!

Visited in august 2024. Nice little ice cream shop with around 10, maybe more, flavour options, including several sorbets. I paid 50 kr for a cone with 2 scoops + guf. The guf was homemade and had a good taste, but the texture wasn't great. The ice cream was fine nothing special.

Brostræde Is, is Helsingør's (Elsinore) oldest ice cream shop. They have five different flavors (vanilla, nougat, chocolate, strawberry and pistachio). The ice cream is home made and so are the waffles/cones. Nothing has changed in recipes over the many years the shop has been running so don't come expecting "flavor of the month" or very fat cream based ice cream. It's lighter which is nice on a hot day. Whipped cream and jam topping is complimentary. They keep an old tradition alive and the family running the business are wonderful!

Brostræde-Is is a very small ice cream parlor located on a back street between the main shopping street and the harbor in Elsinore . During the summer it can get quite crowded. Even though they only offer five different flavors of ice cream this is probably the best ice cream parlor in Elsinore. Be sure to bring cash, they don't accept credit cards.
