I don't know how travellers rate Hotel Brosundet, but I would not want to go anywhere else for a stay in Ålesund 🇳🇴. I spent three nights there on a combination of business and leisure trips. The experience was fabulous. Located in Ålesund's historic district, the hotel has been beautifully renovated, keeping many features from its original destination, a fishery warehouse. Without being spacious, my room (number 1001) had a very decent size. The decoration largely relied on wood and light colours. It was very clean and well-appointed. A Nespresso coffee machine would have been a plus, but it doesn't seem to be very common in Norway's hotel rooms. The timer controlling the bathroom light behaved a bit erratically, which was a bit annoying, but this is a minor downside. Service was professional, friendly, and very efficient. I would particularly like to thank the front desk staff. They went the extra mile to help me organise a day trip to Geirangerfjord at the very last minute, calling directly the rental car agency and arranging the delivery of the keys outside the opening hours. Without their assistance, I would have been unable to enjoy this trip. For all the reasons I have mentioned, I highly recommend Hotel Brosundet for a stay in Ålesund.

I loved this hotel! Our small group tour of 18 people stayed here two nights and I would love to have stayed longer! Its architecture is fascinating and the room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the harbor. Staff were friendly and efficient. We had a group dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was everything you could possibly want. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet section yet easily walkable to everywhere. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm in Alesund!

Such a beautiful hotel in a central and gorgeous location! Breakfast was amazing and I loved all the fruit choices including watermelon, red grapes and cantaloupe. The staff was incredible and I loved the decor of this hotel! The fireplace lounge is so pretty and they also have 3 restaurants as well! Beds are comfortable and rooms are cleaned and they provide water in the room each day! There’s an elevator if you need and they arrange taxi services. Highly recommend!!

What a lovely hotel in the heart of Ålesund city centre! Straightforward check in processes, clean and cute rooms and a lovely well-stocked breakfast! The gym in this hotel is so well-situated with an outside part where you can hang out in the sauna! The uppermost floor rooms are cute attic-style with low ceilings but knowing that, we were not concerned at all! Added to the personality of our rooms! Felt at home for the night in this beautiful city. Thank you for the home away from home. Amazing!

The hotel looks so beautiful on the pictures and stylish. I rate this a 3 because the standard rooms are incredibly small. We could not even fit two suitcases in the firstborn offered. The design of the room incredibly poor. The bathroom must be one of the smallest I have ever seen. The shower door cannot even be fully opened before it hits the sink. There is barely enough room for one person. I could not even really dry myself the bathroom is do small. I would say smaller than a cruiseship bathroom. The room does not have any furniture to put your clothes. There was one useable plug in the entire room to plug in devices. I could not believe how impractically these rooms were designed. I wanted to love this hotel, but the room was a huge turn off for two people. The breakfast was nice and the sauna with ability to jump into the fjord nice.

We spent three nights of our 2.5 week trip to Norway here. It was without a doubt the best hotel we stayed at and one of the highlights of our trip. It is centrally located, staff are professional and kind, our room was of ample size and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was top notch. We enjoyed the fireplace every night. I also enjoyed the baths and sauna. We stayed up later than usual every night to get our fill of it all. Had I known beforehand, I would have added more time there. Thank you for such a memorable stay.
