Brown Bread Bakery Varanasi

I came here almost every day during my time in Varanasi – and after a while, it truly started to feel like home. The food is absolutely delicious. The rooftop has such a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere – a perfect place to rest, read, or simply enjoy life above the city’s chaos. Everything is very clean, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. You can really feel the care they put into the place. I’ll definitely come back – this spot holds a special place in my heart. Thank you, Brown Bread Bakery, for being my little sanctuary in Varanasi!

This is not just a place to have breakfast — it’s a project with real meaning and purpose. Everything here is part of a collective effort to support, to collaborate, and to help build a better world. That makes any experience here different from your average restaurant. That said, the food is great, the service is excellent, and the care they put into everything is truly heartwarming. A solid 10 — projects like this are the ones that help us all move forward as human beings.

Food was really nice but the first time I went the service was painfully slow. Second time it was very quick so maybe they were having an off day. The chili Gouda sandwich was so nice. Also the crepes are unreal - I had the lemon sugar and it was so good.

Loved their fresh vegan Burger and homemade breads – so tasty! Cozy vibe, eco-friendly, and perfect for healthy eats. Must-visit!

The best restaurant in all Varanasi after trying so many in one week there :) They bake everything at home, the pizzas are delicious, the cheese… the juices… everything! Also the muesli bars. If you’re craving foreign food that’s the place to go.

Only went there as a restaurant patron. The food was excellent, but multiple times, they didn't give change, and we had to ask for it. Also we ordered food for our small child and waited for over 30 minutes and when we enqired they said "sorry but we can't make that today". Finally ordered and went to pick up food only to find we had not been given half the order. Great restaurant, but the staff all seemed to be trying to make a quick buck.

I loved my stay over here, I would definitely repeat this place again. The staffs so kind and generous 🙏🏼 We did late check in around 2am , they were willing to provide their staff meals as no restaurants available that time. They didn’t charge us for the meal as well 🥹 The breakfast was so good!!! Thank you for everything 🫶🏼

Been only at the restaurant on the ground floor. The place has good food. Cheese and spinach rolls are good, HOT. The Cinemon Roll was a bit dry and a little cinnamon. Apple Strudel is really good. Especially if you find it when just baked. The place is a small but good spot to meet other travellers. Coffee was not good.
