"Just as Tel Aviv itself sits at the perfect intersection of the ancient past and the modern present, so too does a hotel like the Lighthouse. It takes its name from the building it calls home, the Migdalor — Hebrew for “lighthouse” — an office tower in central Tel Aviv that was built in 1972 but neglected for years, until architect Nestor Sandbank and Brown Hotels breathed new life into the building and helped revive the surrounding area." - Tablet Hotels

A shocking experience, I arrived with friends and they put us in a broken room without air conditioning (the window was broken and there were cockroaches on the floor) after hours claiming there was no other room and after changing 3 rooms at 4 in the morning we got a normal room. Of course we didn't get a refund either

My review is mainly about spa in this hotel, but also about hotel's reception.||||We booked spa to celebrate birthday in a company of friends. When we came, spa reception was empty, no one explained to us where is what and didn't give us towels, etc. until we asked for it. There is no changing room, so we were offered to undress in the toilet that is only one. Also no real shower, also only one that was combined with toilet. In toilet I saw half-alive cockroach... Massage was super light so I barely felt it. Jacuzzi was dirty, its walls were sticky, and the water was smelly. Sauna didn't have a door so you can't really use it. When we asked on hotel's reception (as there was no one on spa's reception) about open jacuzzi, we were told that it's too small and 2 people can't fit in. All of this doesn't match the description about the spa that I was given when I made reservation.||||Due to this bad experience, we decided to cancel the second treatment, so I went to discuss it with hotel's reception. There was a girl called Adva, and she interrupted me multiple times while I was talking and also said something like "you hear what I tell you" that is unacceptable. What is even more unacceptable for reception in such level of hotel, is that Adva corrected my Hebrew when I made a mistake...||||To sum up, birthday was ruined, and I would never consider Lighthouse in Tel Aviv even as a hotel. I stayed once in Brown hotel in Jerusalem, and it was a great experience. But here this treatment on hotel's reception just killed me.||||On a positive side, the breakfast in the hotel was great, and also hotel's manager Kirill helped us to communicate with spa (that is managed by a different company) and cancel half of planned treatments without fee.

Hello everyone. My wife and I stayed for 1 night including breakfast. We paid 1,700 NIS. And at a time when there weren't many people, the rooms were not clean and broken! And this was after we moved to a different room because the previous one was really broken! Even the TV didn't work properly! And the breakfast wasn't served hot and fresh! There are cheaper and much better hotels than this!!!!.

Our stay at this hotel was awful, and the service we received was unacceptable. Upon returning from an evening out, we entered our room to find the bathroom floor and the area near the entrance completely flooded with water. It seemed like a leak or burst from the wall, yet despite urgently requesting assistance, it took the hotel staff an hour (!) to respond. I had to call and go down to the reception multiple times, only for a staff member who barely spoke any Hebrew or English would finally show up. He attempted to clean the floor with a mop, leaving water behind and failing to address the source of the issue. When I asked him what caused the flooding and if it could happen again in the morning, he started blaming us, suggesting it was because we had somehow showered incorrectly and let the water leak out. Ridiculous.||Only after my fourth trip down to the reception did a different staff member come up to the room and ask the original employee to clean again. Even then, it was poorly done, and it wasn't until a more competent employee arrived that we were finally somewhat reassured. This whole ordeal of going back and forth to the lobby, insisting they see the problem with their own eyes after a botched clean-up, was both exhausting and infuriating.||The general state of cleanliness in the room was also appalling – stained sheets, filthy and broken floors, cracked walls, and a crumbling ceiling in the bathroom. Everything may look "clean at a glance," but a closer look reveals dirt and neglect everywhere.||On the plus side, the location is convenient, and the food was ok, but the overall atmosphere in the hotel is dark and depressing. The rooms, corridors, and floors are painted in dark colors, seemingly more to hide flaws than to create any real ambiance.||Avoid at all costs – save yourself, your peace of mind, and your wallet.

This hotel is run-down and noisy. There is a club nearby at the same building that causes some noise. I arrived at night and although there is a 24 hr reception, it took them almost an hour to check me in .WHAT A CHAOS. The room was OK in size with a small window to the noisy junction. The room is run-down. Needs renovations. A lot of people walking the corridors at night making a lot of noise. It feels like a youth hostel rather than a hotel. I do realise that hotels in Israel are going through a tough time nowadays because of the war and lack of tourism but this is really unacceptable.

We absolutely adored our stay at this hotel; it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that every detail had been meticulously considered. The breakfast options were exceptional, offering a delightful array of vegan alternatives. Our room, complete with a partial sea view, was nice, and the welcoming touch of finding delectable cakes waiting for us added an extra layer of warmth to our arrival experience. However, it's worth noting that, as is often the case in bustling Tel Aviv, parking was a bit of a challenge, and the city's characteristic hum of activity and construction work outside is less fun. Nevertheless, these minor drawbacks were easily overshadowed by the overall excellence of our stay. This hotel remains a gem in the heart of Tel Aviv, and we would return for another visit.

I hope you read this review and keep away from this hotel. The reason I didn't give it a rating of 1 is the staff was nice and I think it's a great location. |However, don't let the pretty picture of the lobby fool you, this hotel is more like a hostel. It is extremely poorly kept, it seems like they wanted to renovate it and were left without any budget so they only did the lobby. |The rooms are filthy, the halls are filthy, paint is peeling everywhere, floors are scratched, bed frames are stained, bathtubs are clogged, and things are broken everywhere. Seriously it was so discussed that we couldn't stay. We booked 2 rooms and decided not to stay the night.|I want to point out I did read the bad reviews, I was stuck because another Brown hotel we've booked was closing down and they had to move us. The sales lady put all the disclaimers on our booking so that we wouldn't get dirty, unkept rooms but it seems to be the standard. |I think the Brown hotels started well and are now poorly managed and kept and this solidified me and everyone I know, not going to this chain ever again. |Walking away was the best thing we ever did.

My wife and I have stayed at the lighthouse hotel several times in the recent past and have been very satisfied every time. This time was a terrible disappointment. We got a room which needed urgent renovation, the curtains were torn and signs of cigarette burns on the couch. We did not complain as we would only stay for one night. When we went to bed in the evening we heard a dog barking in the room opposite our and we called the reception. The lady in the reception promised to send somebody immediately to solve the problem but nothing happened. With the fourth call to the reception we demanded to be moved to another room if they could not get the dog to be quiet. We were told to come down to get the key cards. I would have expected that at a 4 star hotel somebody would bring us the keys, but we had to go down to the reception in bath rocks at 11.30 at night. The lady at the reception apologized and told us that the manager would talk to us in the morning.|The room we got was fine, but we woke up in the morning with noice from somewhere on the floor and had to take showers in cold water because there was no hot water in the shower. |The breakfast used to be exceptional, but they have cut down the menu and the service in the breakfast room.|When we checked out the lady at the reception knew why we had changed rooms and promised that the manager would call us as soon as he arrived to give us some compensation for our unpleasant experience. |No body has called.
