Brown's Bakery

Brown’s bakery is a staple for all OKC donut lovers. I haven’t been in a while, but it is clear they keep busy. The staff is always kind and smiling! The Peanuts and chocolate donut is probably my favorite in OKC, but I know so many people who love the apple sauce donut. A lot of our local coffee shops will sell Brown’s donuts giving us many locations to buy one. I do have one complaint though, so many of the donuts have so much glaze on them that it overpowers the donut flavor inside. I couldn’t really tell the difference between three ox these donuts if basing it on taste. That being said I am much more if a cake no glaze donut person. So what do I know?

Best donuts I’ve ever had in my life! I’m visiting from Minneapolis where the donut scene is honestly lackluster. These donuts were outstanding— fluffy, moist, flavorful, and fresh. We tried the applesauce donut, chocolate cake donut, small apple fritter, and strawberry frosted glazed donut. Each donut was a masterpiece. The applesauce donut was quite literally the best donut I’ve ever had. The donuts are also super affordable. Wow, what a memorable experience! If we weren’t flying back to Minneapolis today, we would come here for donuts every day!

I've only have the donuts here so I can't speak for everything that they make but the donuts are okay. Really nice if the default was to heat them up before they served you them cold but that's partially on me you should probably go there early so that you get them hot. If you're getting them to go that's probably better as the restroom it's kind of sketchy in the place overall is kind of sketchy. Definitely not the best donuts in town but they're okay.

First time experiencing and it truly felt like a step back in time where all the locals go. Nothing new of fancy about the interior whatsoever, but it felts homey. Line moves very fast with a large selection of pastries. Also I noticed how CHEAP their prices were compared to other bakeries.

Let’s just say that object’s in the pictures definitely look smaller than the actual size. This thing is huge. Even better than the size, the cinnamon roll is delicious. Please don’t go if you have any issues with blood sugar but everyone else should go.

Went by Browns based on a recommendation. I tried the Applesauce donut (upon hearing it's the best donut ever) and the Chocolate Bavarian Creme donut (because these are my favorite). Honestly the Applesauce donut far surpassed my love for the Chocolate Bavarian. The glaze on the outside has a nice sugary crunch to it while the inside is cakey and moist. It is the best donut I have ever had.

Perfect, as usual Shown is the Italian Cream cake. The staff is wonderful, the doughnuts melt in your mouth, the state fair cinnamon rolls are to DIE for! I haven’t found anything I didn’t like.

As someone visiting OKC from out of town, Brown's Bakery is an unassuming bakery I didn't know anything about and sure doesn't have the sheen and glimmer of the donut shops I'm used to in larger cities. Yet I had a feeling in my gut that I had to go. Throughout the long weekend my partner and I were here, I advocated for trying to fit it into the schedule. We decided on getting donuts for the last day right before the airport. My fav donuts, pink frosted with sprinkles and double chocolate cake, were very well executed and the best iteration of either I've had in years. My partner's picks, however, were the showstoppers: apple fritter and the supreme apple sauce donut! Unbelievable flavor, moisture, texture and balance of sweetness. I wouldn't be surprised if I dream of the apple sauce donut for a long time to come
