I was shocked with this hotel. 🤩 The truth is that I stayed here less than one day so I wasn’t looking anything specific, only location was important. But this hotel is… so stylish, with soul, taste… It was also super quiet even it is located in the main touristic street. They called me on the retro phone to wake me up 😁 at 3AM (we had that agreement) and this was also unique experience. I think it is super value for the money. Staff was also very nice and responsive.

This hotel is very well located making it easy to walk to a variety of popular sights, shopping and a wide variety of restaurants. The decor is hip with a warm musky scent (maybe a tad too much at times). Most of the staff were good but when we asked for help we were offered expensive options ( the transfer to the airport they booked was double what we got on Uber). Also, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable but in the two rooms we had, there was a tight water closet for the toilet and the sink was in the room. The shower had a frosted glass door and also faced directly into the room, which is fine for couples but not so much for others.

We stayed here for the first 3 nights of a 10 day 35th anniversary trip and were greeted with friendly staff and surprise champagne in our beautiful room. We had 2 doors to small balcony where we were able to watch unexpected fireworks show one night! The welcome drinks offered by Brown’s were delightful. Unlimited water refills were appreciated. Some noise from alley in the early morning when garbage men working. Location is spectacular!! Easy to walk everywhere and explore the area. Staff recommended enjoyable Fado dinner. Highly recommend.

Rooms were clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Central location to everything. They set us up with a private transfer from the airport. It was perfect and easy to communicate with them. A welcome drink was included at the bar and it was delicious. Thoughtfully decorated. WiFi was not fast. Would stay there again.

Stayed here for a few nights while visiting Lisbon and I cannot recommend it enough! The front desk staff were all so sweet, the bartenders downstairs and wait staff for the lounge were so helpful and accommodating. The room we stayed in (5th floor) had a cute view of the street, and tiny balconies so we could stand and people watch. It is VERY centrally located to a bunch of restaurants and lots of shopping, which also means it’s a little loud with the windows open, but once you shut them you’d have no idea there was a busy area below. Walking from here all over the city was easy, but also a very easy spot to have a Bolt pick you up. The welcome drink they offer is yummy, and the house keeping service is wonderful. This place is adorable and romantic, I highly recommend it!

Close to everything, very busy area which makes it easy to walk everywhere. Was loud outside but the windows made it quiet inside. Service was great, drinks were fantastic. Rooms were clean with a small balcony. Everything was super clean. I’d stay here again if I want to be be near all the hustle and bustle.

Great hotel for visitors who want to experience Lisbon! It’s centrally located so all shops and restaurants are within walking distance.||As for the hotel itself, the style is very clean and charming. The hosts and bartenders were all super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are a bit small, but nothing out of the ordinary for a "big city feel" like Lisbon. Also very affordable.

My wife and I dropped in to the bar for a cocktail on a Saturday night. We sat ourselves down in a couple of very comfortable chairs and waited to place our order. And waited. Despite there not being many customers and plenty of staff milling around, it was a good 10 minutes before anyone even noticed us. The cocktails, however, were excellent

Yelp
It is difficult to express how much we enjoyed this charming, spotless, welcoming botique hotel. Just steps from the Baixa-Chiado station, a 3 minute walk to the large, harbour facing plaza Praca do Comercio and easy walking dostance to Rossio, Alfama, Bairro Alto and more. We loved it so much that we cancelled another reservation for our 5 night return to Lisbon and instead, stayed here again. The first room was a standard well appointed room, king bed, beautiful Marble bathroom. We returned to the Suite Castle View with majestic views of the S. Jorge Castle, illuminated with sunshine in the day, and lights at night. You step off of the street, that is closed to traffic and set up for dining, into a warm, cozy den like "lobby" that does not resemble a traditional concierge at all. Dark wood, red velvet chairs, plants all set the visual for the smoky Spotify playlist and walls filled with oversized, trendy books of people, places, objects. Staff is laid back & accommodating. The area would be considered touristy, but all of the streets are closed to traffic for blocks in every direction, giving the area the feeling of community with table after table and lovely burst of fire from the heaters. Rarely would we eat in a hotel, but their menu was great and food impressive. Twice we had breakfast which was hosted at their close other Browns Central and it was lovely. We loved it here, highly recommended. No where else we would have rather been after walking every inch of the area. We will not be returning to Lisbon so quickly, but if we did, it would be right back to Browns Boutique.

Yelp
My best friend & I spent four glorious days in Lisbon. Brown's Boutique Hotel was fabulous. From the decor in the lobby, to the rooms, to the attentiveness of the staff, to the location -- everything was perfect. We arrived a bit early so enjoyed a complimentary drink in the lobby until our rooms were ready. My room was spacious, had a Max & iPad, 2 terraces, and even a washing machine & dryer. One evening while resting before going back out for dinner, I had the terrace doors open & could hear a violinist playing Ava Maria from the street below while a woman sang softly along with him. It was so incredibly beautiful. The hotel is centrally located & easy to get around. There were lots of shops, restaurants & gelato stands just steps from the hotel. It was lively but not overwhelming & quiet by bed time. I'd stay here again & recommend it highly!

Yelp
The location of Brown's Boutique Hotel was perfect for exploring all Lisbon has to offer. It's right in the heart of Lisbon and you're steps away from shopping, restaurants, and the trains. We got to the hotel early and even though our room wasn't ready they were kind enough to check us in and hold our luggage. We were provided with a map and highlights of places we should see and check out. They also gave us a card for a free welcome drink at their sister restaurant a block away. Our room was a loft style suite with a view of the castle. It felt like we had our own apartment. The bed was so comfortable we ended up sleeping off our jet lag for 12 hours the first night. Our room came equipped with a stereo system, Mac computer, and even an iPad. Breakfast was included with our stay and was incredible. There was a large spread of different meats and cheeses, 4 types of cold cereals, breads, pastries (including those delicious and addicting pastel de natas), and muffins. Hot foods changed on a daily basis but always included eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes (try it with Nutella or honey on top), and several different hot vegetables. The coffee was delicious and the best we found anywhere in Europe. Everything about our stay was excellent. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to make sure our honeymoon was magical.

Yelp
I really wanted to like it here. The location is great and the rooms are beautiful with modern decor and having a computer in each room was a nice touch. But I cannot give it a good review. We stayed here for 4 nights. It was cold in the room but not freezing (by my Husbands standards). We asked if there was heating in the room and we were told to use the air conditioner as it heats as well. Thus mistake caused the room to be even more cold and both of us catching colds at the beginning of our Europe trip. For one last night due to some planning issues we were asked to move to another room beside it. This room faces the street (as opposed to a brick wall). For some reason the windows felt and sounded like it was open all night with construction, people shouting, and garbage trucks and felt like it with a light breeze. The thermostats was also broken here and flashing with an error message just like in the previous room. It was colder in here because if the windows. Also in the rooms are a turntable and and ipad. Not sure what they do as the ipad cannot be removed or used. When you ask about the temperature at the from desk they are the managing receptionist or manager. They couldn't really help us. I would recommend only saying here in the summer.

Yelp
Checked in on July 5, 2018 at Browns, but couldn't get into our room until 3. They kept our bags for us though so we could start right away exploring beautiful Lisbon, Portugal, albeit in a jet-lagged state ! Browns is within walking distance of almost anything we wanted to do or see! Cafes, bakeries, gift shops, and galleries. We walked among colorful tiled buildings, cobblestone streets admiring the architecture and watching various performers as we walked to the shoreline for mimosas at an outdoor bar/restaurant. We ended up back at Browns before check in for wine and snacks of bacaloa fritters and olives: tasty and inexpensive. Our 2nd floor room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It included a mini fridge and AC. There was an elevator to the upper floors as well. The hair dryer in the bathroom was dusty & sticky, so I was glad I brought my own (my only negative comment about our room). Although the modern amenities added to the comfort, the old world style of the whole building was not lost and was ever so charming: velvety sofas and pillows were positioned around dining room tables for guests to fall into as they browsed the menu under chandeliers and dim lights. The hotel is not "stuffy or formal" at all; simply cozy, warm and inviting. Outdoor seating on the street was also lovely w tablecloths, glass and silverware. The continental breakfast (included in price of our reservation) in the morning was fantastic: baguette, pastry, yogurt (God, I love European yoghurt!), fruit, procuitto, cheeses, muesli, pancakes...and the BEST coffee we had in Lisbon! The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. I would go back to Brown's again if I'm lucky enough to get to Lisbon again .
