Brown's Hotel

I have driven through Laugharne for years, but it was great to spend the night here, particularly in such an amazing hotel. The greeting i recieved was very welcoming and the room was exceptionally large, with a separate bathroom and toilet. The room was very well equipped with a fan also, but this was quite noisy. The hotel has a bar and is very tastefully decorated if a little dark. I would say that the breakfast i had in the morning was one of the best I have ever received in any hotel. I don't say this lightly. The cooked Welsh breakfast was superb. Thank you for a lovely stay...I will be back!

Lovely hotel in good location in Laugharne. Close to the castle, easy walk to Dylan's Boat House. Rooms are all different but lovely decor, well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities,fridge,iron etc. Good quality bedding and towels , good bathrooms. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Very characterful bar and very dog friendly. Dexter's restaurant/bar serves excellent quality food. Would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return

My partner and I stayed in Brown's Hotel for a night due to a friend's wedding, happening just down the road. Prior to our visit, a staff member rang to inform us that the air-con in the room was broken (it was a hot day!) She had already arranged for us to be moved to another hotel if we wanted to, and offered money back on our stay. We said no to both, as it was so kind of them to ring and let us know, and they mentioned a ceiling fan was in the room anyway!||From the moment we checked in, the staff were absolutely excellent. Kind, friendly and informative, they showed us to our room, 'Fern Hill'. It was spacious, beautifully decorated with a large, comfortable bed, a roll top bath, complete with an iron, ironing board, tv and a hairdryer. ||We had drinks in the bar, and the bar staff were super friendly, too. The heat let us make use of the quiet, small but beautifully decorated beer garden at the rear of the property. ||There's a small car park out the back, or plenty of on street parking in Laugharne. We didn't manage to sample the food, but the menu looked delicious! We'll absolutely be back if we're in the area.||Thank you for a wonderful, comfortable and welcoming stay.

Excellent hotel. Staff friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. My friend was in a dog friendly room with her black Labrador and it was clean and spacious and luxurious. I was in a double that was not for dogs and couldn’t have been more comfortable. ||Restaurant deserves a special mention - absolutely fabulous food, great service. ||Highly recommend!

Browns Hotel is a unique hotel that has been extensively and tastefully refurbished to a high standard that makes the most out of its unique history. Our rooms were beautiful decorated and included rolled top baths. The restaurant served excellent steaks. Have to say that every member of staff at the hotel went out of their way to be helpful and could not do any more to make our stay more enjoyable. Special mention to Carly who was a mind of local information. Would recommend very highly.

We had a wonderful stay in the Fern Hill room, which was extremely comfortable and stylish. All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful, which made it an even more enjoyable experience. It's a great location in the heart of the town, plus there's a lovely beer garden round the back of the hotel. We'll definitely stay here again the next time we're in Laugharne.

A shirt but lovely stay at this attractively furnished hotel. Room was stunningly decorated but a little small. Bathroom had a gorgeous bath with shower attached, gels and shampoo provided. Bed super comfy too. |Breakfast was delicious. |Only downsides was the water with no top on it, and a little noisy at night with pub next door. But this didn’t spoil our trip and would definitely boil again, but next time a bigger room.

Couple of nights away just me and the dog. Fabulous place as always. The room was outstanding. Very spacious and clean. Staff were so attentive, especially the manager. He was very busy but made sure I had everything I needed. It is so dog friendly here and all the staff made a fuss of the dog. The food in the restaurant was stunning. I will always return to this hotel.
