The cultural hotspots of Darwin - SilverKris

"Housed within Heritage Register–listed sandstone walls built in 1885, this intimate theatre is the centre for indie stage work in the Top End, mounting a season of local productions and touring shows and often hosting free live-music performances on Friday nights in the cooler months." - Tamara Howie

Such a versatile venue. It feels so good comfortable walking in. Doesn't matter what event is on. It just feels right.

One of the oldest building in the city with not a long history. Good place to pop in Darwin.

This is more than a venue! Browns Mart is an incredible place to spend time. They work hard to make ensure high quality local work is highlighted on our stages, they work closely with many members of the Community, both locally and interstate! As a venue, Browns Mart is awesome. There's lots of room to sit outside and enjoy the relaxed Darwin atmosphere. Inside is air-conditioned, comfortable and a beautiful old heritage listed building. If you get a chance to see a show at Browns Mart. Do not hesitate!

Wow!! My first visit and I was extremely impressed. On opening the Webpage, I first was impressed with the acknowledgement of Larrakia country, secondly people with needs seated and attended to first, even a service dog. Next was this show Last Call, wrote in a role to include a young man with hearing impairment and to also include Auslan interpreters, hats off to all involved. Very proud to be an aboriginal women in the audience. The influence of your team is very noticeable, congratulations.

Cool place, live local shows. The chairs aren't comfortable but that's arguably part of this theatre experience; art is hard and will make you uneasy and give you a sore back. That may sound sarcastic and sour, but seriously I'm not bothered -- look at those 5 stars.
