The menu reads like a dissertation! Our party had to repeatedly ask our server (who was incredibly patient with us - thank you, Chastity!) for more time as we pored over the many, many tasty options listed on each laminated page. The restaurant might be named after its pancakes, but its offerings are closer to a diner-like variety, including some pasta, sandwich, and protein-centric options that would be fine for a lunch or dinner meal.
On a Friday morning, service was quick and attentive. I couldn't believe how quickly our plates were delivered to our table, especially considering the size of the restaurant and the surprisingly large serving sizes. To wit, none of us were able to finish our whole orders. Customizations were readily made and carried out to a tee. One of us wanted to switch out one ingredient for another in an omelette, another preferred the dish without onions, and we all got what we wanted. Things were pretty mellow when I visited, but I've heard this restaurant gets absolutely packed on the weekends.
The food itself was...fine. Nothing blew us away, but aside from some slightly over-salted potatoes, everything was decently cooked. That said, we watched with gaping mouths at some of the more dessert-like options that passed by us to other tables. There were cotton-candy structures that looked like unicorns, pancake towers carrying clouds of whipped cream, and milkshakes that gave me a sugar high just looking at it. So while our own meals might have been on the boring side, I'm sure those who are daring enough (and with more forgiving metabolisms than I) might rave about their meals here.
There's a small parking lot right by the restaurant, and an even larger one when you pull further into the lot.
