A Diner Turned Drive-In in Queens | The New Yorker

"I noted that the Brownstone Pancake Factory in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, is currently offering carhop service and uses trays that hook onto open car windows, which the Bel Aire is considering as a less complicated alternative to roller-skating servers." - Hannah Goldfield

Probably the best Pancake experience I’ve ever had. No wonder why this place has stood the test of time, almost 60 years and still using the exact same recipe for pancakes that put this place on the pancake map. Service was fast and friendly, young staff and good vibe in the place. Will definitely return and recommend. So many amazing Pancake options to choose from.

The menu reads like a dissertation! Our party had to repeatedly ask our server (who was incredibly patient with us - thank you, Chastity!) for more time as we pored over the many, many tasty options listed on each laminated page. The restaurant might be named after its pancakes, but its offerings are closer to a diner-like variety, including some pasta, sandwich, and protein-centric options that would be fine for a lunch or dinner meal. On a Friday morning, service was quick and attentive. I couldn't believe how quickly our plates were delivered to our table, especially considering the size of the restaurant and the surprisingly large serving sizes. To wit, none of us were able to finish our whole orders. Customizations were readily made and carried out to a tee. One of us wanted to switch out one ingredient for another in an omelette, another preferred the dish without onions, and we all got what we wanted. Things were pretty mellow when I visited, but I've heard this restaurant gets absolutely packed on the weekends. The food itself was...fine. Nothing blew us away, but aside from some slightly over-salted potatoes, everything was decently cooked. That said, we watched with gaping mouths at some of the more dessert-like options that passed by us to other tables. There were cotton-candy structures that looked like unicorns, pancake towers carrying clouds of whipped cream, and milkshakes that gave me a sugar high just looking at it. So while our own meals might have been on the boring side, I'm sure those who are daring enough (and with more forgiving metabolisms than I) might rave about their meals here. There's a small parking lot right by the restaurant, and an even larger one when you pull further into the lot.

Google
The Pancake Factory! it’s basically a playground for your taste buds. The menu is wild, packed with all your guilty-pleasure favorites and pancakes in every shape, size, and flavor you can dream up. Plus, they’ve got a full-on coffee bar and everything from breakfast to dinner, so you can roll in anytime and leave very happy. Upon arrival there’s usually a wait but that’s okay seating moves quickly & Service is always on point!

My husband and I went here today for the first time. I cannot say enough good things! The food was delicious and huge portions. Our server was absolutely delightful! We will be back!

Google
A Must-Visit Gem with Impeccable Service and Delicious Food! Wow! This brownstone cafe is an absolute gem that consistently delivers an amazing experience. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a fun, friendly, and buzzing atmosphere. The service is always impeccable. A special shout-out to Lorena, who is a wonderful lady and a truly great server – attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful on every visit. But the real star of the show is, without a doubt, the food. We've enjoyed many items from their extensive menu over multiple visits, and our family has always loved every dish. The pancakes are truly something special – light, fluffy, almost cake-like in texture, and incredibly moist. If you're a burger fan, the beef burger with sweet potato fries is a must-try; it's flavorful, juicy, and absolutely amazing! Be prepared for the portions – they are consistently massive! If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast or brunch spot with delicious food and great service, look no further. This place is a definite must-try!

Everything was excellent! The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming — definitely a place I’d recommend and look forward to visiting again and again...its our 10 times in 5 years!!

Google
My recent visit to Brownstone Pancake Factory was absolutely worth the wait! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming you could tell the staff genuinely cared. The food? To die for. Every dish tasted like it was made with love and attention to detail. You can really feel the difference. We did wait about 45 minutes to be seated, but once we were in, everything ran smoothly. Even finding parking took around 10 minutes since the lot is a bit tight but again, completely worth the hassle. If you’re looking for a spot where both the food and service shine, this is it. Highly recommend!

Google
Magicians at work? Believe the hype as this place was phenomenal! They have anything you could imagine for breakfast, with real lunch options! I went with the pistachio pancakes. A great choice! They were crowded, so parking was tough, but not impossible. It was also lively with music blasting, but a little noisy! Still worth the trip, wait, and the price! I will be back with more people! 8/8/25 - Update - Friday afternoon was a great time-slot as there was plenty of parking and seating. Breakfast options are still amazing, but I had the Honky Tonk pancakes that keep the spirit of Elvis alive and well!

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin! My experience at Brownstone Pancake Factory was absolutely phenomenal, and it's easily one of the best brunch spots I've ever been to. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Our server was so friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The food came out incredibly fast, and everything was exactly as we ordered--no mistakes whatsoever, which is impressive given how busy they were. The portions are absolutely massive, so bring your appetite! We ordered a few different things to share, and each dish was more delicious than the last. Everything tasted so fresh, from the perfectly cooked pancakes to the fluffy omelets. The menu is huge, with so many creative and classic options that it was tough to decide what to get. This is the kind of place where you could go a dozen times and still have new things to try. I can't recommend Brownstone Pancake Factory enough. Excellent service, super fast and accurate food delivery, fresh and delicious food, and huge portions--it's the total package. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Absolutely incredible experience at Brownstone Pancake Factory in Englewood Cliffs! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly service and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The menu is massive with so many creative options! whether you're in the mood for sweet or savory, there's something for The portions are huge, the flavors are amazing, and everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. My coffee stayed full the entire meal and our server was super attentive without being overbearing. This is definitely a must-visit brunch spot! great for families, dates, or just treating yourself. We'll 100% be back. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great brunch spot and perfect for kids who love crazy shakes! Might be a wait but trust me it'll be worth it. Pancakes are delicious but especially warm. Drink options are also delicious!

Yelp
We came on a nice, wonderful spring day and was seated in the outdoor area where the pulled down the windows. The weather and breeze was perfect and soothing to the soul. Had a maple latte which was good and came with lotta creme, but prob would just go for reg coffee next time. Tries the short rib skillet special and I could barely finish half. Oh had plenty of room between tables so could fit our stroller and sleeping baby. Parking can be tough on a busy day, but we were able to snag a spot after a few minutes. Felt busy but the wait was only twenty mins on a sat around 11am. Our server was a little slow or less attentive to us it felt.., forgot our utensils and had to ask for other stuff a few times, but other than that it was fine.

Yelp
I've been to Brownstone Englewood Cliffs a few times but never left a review--so here it is! Went for breakfast, and as expected, the food was great. There was a wait (as usual), and the ambience is on the louder side, but that's part of the vibe. The food came out warm, portions were HUGE, and the drinks? AMAZING (It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?). My only complaint: y'all need a bigger space with more parking! If anyone from the restaurant is reading this, please make it happen! Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Yelp
I really don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a local spot, but this place just isn't for me. The dishes I've tried have been pretty mediocre, and the service can be a bit inconsistent. I personally prefer the diner down the street. That said, I can understand the appeal if you have kids -- the fun, sugar-coated pancakes are definitely a hit with them.

Yelp
The experience was a 10/10 out server (Ralph I believe his name was) was very polite and educated. He knew the menu really well and answered all our questions fully. The menu is a bit overwhelming if you're a foodie but I can't wait to go back! They had a daily special menu which was also unique. Very nice ambiance and perfect for any appetite

Yelp
I was craving early morning for walnut pancakes with bananas... don't want to cook anything, so I ordered one from Brownstone Pancake factory It had three big ,medium fluffy ,fresh, delicious, soft, walnut pancakes with butter, more walnuts, banana slices and a raspberry sauce on the side .... Yeahhhh!!! I also ordered a freshly squeeze Orange juice which was amazing! thank you guys. God bless you. Keep doing a great job!

Yelp
Don't come here often, but when we do, it's always a treat! Today we had a chocolate shake, which was divine pancakes and a Cinco de Mayo Braised short ribs on a skillet

Yelp
First off, the food was fine. Tasted great. But do not order the Nutella Wafer Cupcake Cappuccino to go because this is what you get for $18. When I called them to ask if my drink order was correctly given, they confirmed that this is indeed how it's served to go. There wasn't even whipped cream in the cup and I couldn't taste the Nutella flavor at all. I decided not to make a big fuss or ask for a refund, but I am posting this here so everyone else is aware before they order it.

Yelp
The food is really good, but the service sucks big time. The place is busy with people having a good time but I would imagine that anyone who got my waitress were likely frustrated as well. The lady came over to get our drink orders and I asked for coffee, my other people in my party asked for mimosas and she told me, "are you sure you only want coffee?". I told her yes and she insisted that I should have a drink. When I told her no thank you she shrugged me off and left before taking our food orders. I got her back to take the order and the food came out quickly and well served. By then I needed more coffee and I asked her to bring me more. She walked away and never came back. I had to ask someone else who earned my generous tip. The place is very nice with a good atmosphere as long as you get a good waitress.

Yelp
Brownstone has a great atmosphere. The servers are nice but also very charming. The food however, isn't great. Out of the got times I've been, I've only ever enjoyed the pancakes. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the hype. I know there another location and maybe it's better but I really wanted to like the food as it's a popular diner but it must wasn't for me.
google avatar

Miguel R.

Yelp
I really wanted to like The Brownstone in Englewood Cliffs because the food is actually pretty good--well-prepared, flavorful, and nicely presented. Unfortunately, the service (Nelly) completely ruins the experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed disorganized and inattentive. We waited far too long to be seated even though there were empty tables, and once we sat down, it took forever to get our drink orders in. Our server barely checked on us throughout the meal, and we had to flag someone down just to get the check. It's frustrating when the kitchen gets it right but the front of the house drops the ball. It could be a great spot if they ever get their service in order, but until then, it's just not worth the hassle. Lastly, the bathrooms are extremely filthy. The management oversight required attention.

Karina D.

Yelp
We wanted some breakfast and stopped by this place. We saw the menu and out eyes widened. The food was amazing, the size was ginormous and the service was great. It was 5 of my sons my husband and I. We were seated quickly without an issue. We would recommend this place for sure.

Yelp
Came on a weekday afternoon with some friends. I've always had this place on my list of places to visit and I'm glad I did. These portions here are super big and you will definitely leave full. As a first-timer visiting, I found the menu to be super overwhelming. I really couldn't decide what to eat for a while. Everything seemed good. I definitely knew I wanted to try a pancake option, but also didn't want to overwhelm myself with sweets. I found that our servers insight to whats popular and answers to questions about any dish helped a lot in deciding. As much as I looked at the original menu, I found myself going back to the specials menu. Both the Crispy Beef Brisket Skillet and Strawberry Cheesecake Pancake caught my attention. When my friend offered to share these two dishes, I was sold! CRISPY BEEF BRISKET SKILLET This dish came in a skillet meaning it was prepped hot. It was loaded with protein (egg/beef brisket/cheese), veggies (onion/peppers), carbs (potatoes). The beef briskets were amazing - super soft and falls right off when you go to eat it. It is definitely big portions - shared among 2 people. Super filling and savory. I really enjoyed it. STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE PANCAKE It's 3 moderately thick pancakes stacked on top of each other topped with small cheesecake bites, strawberry and cream. I felt like all the toppings were sweet enough that you really don't need syrup, so I personally didn't add any. I was able to enjoy just as is. It's super filling. Definitely couldn't finish it that I had to pack it to go. But, I enjoyed every bite. Overall, this place has a plethora of options. So, it's never a issue of finding something you want, but a dilemma of finding what to choose when everything looks great. The portions are huge here - one meal is probably very filling for the average person. Service is great. I enjoyed my food here.

Yelp
Delicious pancakes of all sorta varieties, a menu that caters to everyone & portions meant for giants! What is there not to like about Brownstone Pancake Factory? Staff is very friendly & courteous. They checked up on us often. Prices are reasonable. Interior is very clean & roomy. You can get almost any kind of food here- sweet, sweet and savory, savory, meats, bagels, finger food whatever you can think of they got it. I always get my favorite oreo cheesecake pancakes & they're always a home run. The portions are epic! You will definitely struggle to finish your whole meal. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who's looking for good eats in New Jersey.

Yelp
This is my second time coming here for breakfast and I had a great time! I ordered the cinnamon swirl pancakes and they were phenomenal especially if you love cinnamon and sweet breakfast!

Yelp
Pancakes were amazing, service was easy and quick. It had great brunch vibe and outside looked pretty nice to sit as well.

Yelp
Big portion (enough for 1.5-2 meals) and great service! We went in with a group of 12 and had our food delivered quickly. The food was good with a side of Ketchup and chalula's. A great casual spot for lunch or breakfast.
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
Decided to give Brownstone another go , but they disappointed yet again. Went in for breakfast on a slow Thursday am. There were more employees than there were patrons. And no service was offered until I went to the host to inform we had not been served. Food was good except for the cheese grits which was lumpy and a glob of cheese. Definitely won't return. The staff here are really unmotivated.

Yelp
I was determined to get pancakes! What I didn't realize was that it was Fathers Day.. So I suppose I can't really fairly comment on parking and wait times, all I can say about that is.. DON'T go on a holiday?? That being said, while the Gluten Free pancakes definitely left something to be desired, it was wonderful to be able to order just about anything on the menu and have it be made GF. After I asked my waitress about GF options, I forgot to say that I wanted my pancakes GF. She actually cane back over to confirm, and I really appreciated that attention to detail! The option of GF pancakes, waffles and french toast would in itself would bring me back, at least a time or two again!
google avatar

Annette S.

Yelp
If you like your pancakes sweet, with every topping available this is a great place for you. They also offer traditional egg and omelets and a host of coffee drinks. Lunch is available with or without pancakes and so many are original recipes. I enjoyed a shirt stack but was only able to finish one pancake. They were a bit heavy for my taste but overall had a nice flavor. The unlimited coffee was hot and balanced. The service was attentive and they served a red velvet cupcake with a giant sparkler to our birthday guest. Great place to take family

Yelp
Ordered to go. Process was smooth and easy. Customer service was great. The place was packed and busy as always. This spot is great for take out or eating in. The vibe is always great- love the music. Ordered the Cubano Panini- just wow! The perfect amount of pulled pork and ham. Generous portions! I've had my share of cubanos and this panini sandwich is just so tasty and perfect. Comes with fries. The sandwich was delicious. The food is always on point!

Yelp
Food was excellent thought the prices were a little bit high. waitress with Julia. She was very nice polite refilled coffee. Food was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the brownstone.

Yelp
Amazing!! They even had gluten free for my boyfriend who has celiac. I love the food and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I have passed this restaurant for years and I finally went this past Sunday! It always caught my eye because there would be hoards of people waiting outside playing lawn games! There are two entrances to the parking lot. I waited a few minutes for a spot. It was about 10:30am. The hostess told me she could seat me right away at the counter or wait about 15 minutes for a table. I opted to wait since my friend hadn't yet arrived. After 10 minutes, I was seated even though my friend hadn't arrived. The employees were all extremely friendly and full of smiles. Every table was full, but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think. The restaurant is also decorated nicely inside. Now let's talk about the menu. Wow!!! The menu is quite extensive! Almost reminds me of the Mount Kisco Diner. Anyway, I chose the Nutella waffle & my friend chose the chocolate chip pancakes. Both were delicious and the presentation gets a 10/10! I can't wait to return and try something else- their shakes look incredible!

Yelp
Lovely breakfast did Sunday specials for the short ribs we Had pancake stacks and I have to find the jalapeno chicken dish
google avatar

Margarita R.

Yelp
Stopped in for brunch. Off the bat, the food seemed excessive. The flavors were okay, it was a pretty normal brunch experience other than the portions. I personally rather go for a more unique, flavor focused brunch experience.
google avatar

Dwayne T.

Yelp
Unfortunately the waitress was on her phone for most of our visit, so she wasn't able to concentrate with the party of four. They forgot to bring part of the food, they forgot that they were serving our table when we got up to ask for service. The pancakes were overcooked. It was just not the day to visit.
google avatar

Sama C.

Yelp
Still trying to figure out if this is a Pancake Factory or Instagram Factory... maybe both. With a sophisticated menu you will not leave hungry and your tastebuds will want it all... but, more important than your tummy, do it for the Gram! Not much more to this place than great food, drinks, ambiance that is worthy to show the world on social media. FYI: This place gets super packed so be prepared to wait, and parking might be a struggle as well.
google avatar

Lee E.

Yelp
This is definitely a place to go to if you don't want to eat healthy. I've been there twice so far. The first time was honestly for some unhealthy pancakes, which were delicious, but pretty salty. The next time I came I decided to get something healthy and got the eggs benedict with lox. I have to admit that I shop for lox with low sodium for home, so it was a little hard for me as this salmon was probably the saltiest I've ever had. I could barely eat it. The funny thing is, the cheddar grits were flavorless. The only thing I can say was worth it was the latte I ordered. That being said. The service was amazing the first time. That waitress was extremely nice and helpful. The second time, the waitress could care less. All in all, if you're going for salty, unhealthy food, this is the place for you. I'm not saying I won't be back, but I hope to find something healthy and not crazy salty on their menu next time - with the help of a nice waiter. The atmosphere is clean and nice inside. And it's never packed in there when I go. During the week.

Yelp
Delicious food!! We sat on the counter so we saw all the food coming out. Wanted to order it all! Great place to bring your teen for a bday breakfast.
google avatar

Mizan R.

Yelp
The wait took about 15 mins for a party of two and it was very worth it the hospitality of the service d was top tier and we felt well taken care of the food is heavy and on the sweet side. be careful ordering too much. even two orders was too hard to finish and we took a to go box home the ambiance is finer style and very cozy and loud, lots of birthdays too 10/10 A+ they need these in nyc pls
google avatar

Jerry K.

Yelp
The selection and portions are HUGE! The lavish high toped milkshakes tower over the tables when they are severed, and creations like a short ribs eggs benedict, or a classic chicken and waffles or a sight to be seen and eaten. This location has large booths, great for sharing a meal and catching up. The service can be slow at a times, and the parking can get dicey with limited spots. A fun dinning experience that creates some delicious memories.

Yelp
I stopped by for brunch after a morning hike and this was the perfect place to stop by. I came with a group of 5, and we surprisingly didn't have to wait and were seated as soon as we walked in. The service was alright -- we waited so long for our food to come out because of how busy they were. In addition, the waiter was rushing and dropped some of our food on my friend when he was bringing our food out. Aside from that, the food was great! The portions were HUGEEEE and we were super stuffed by the end. I got the eggs benedict which was delicious, and I would definitely recommend. I also shared the fried Oreos waffle and cake tower with my friends and we couldn't finish it -- it was literally waffles with ice cream, chocolate syrup, fried Oreos, and and entire slice of cake. It was honestly way too much and I wouldn't get it again. But overall, this is a solid brunch spot!

Yelp
We went for Labor Day before noon and it was already packed. But it wasn't too bad as we had only waited for 20 mins for a table. We got seated and our waitress was super nice and helpful on her recs for Brownstone. I always get confused when coming here as there are way too many options. I ended up with the churro French toast combo while my bf had gotten the churrasco steak sandwich with the truffle fries. We both gotten margaritas to drink. While the food was phenomenal, the drinks were just mid. Nothing special. What was special were the churro French toast this was made to crispy perfection. This might be the BEST French toast I've ever had in my life. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and you don't need any extra syrup. I love Brownstone but this location seemed a bit understaffed. Everything was moving okay but our waitress just didn't come back for awhile lol. I would def come back again!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was so good and portions were very delicious. Service was great, our waitress was friendly but a little pushy lol. Ambiance was fun and light hearted. Parking can be a hit or miss. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Parking is a disaster with pseudo valet that directs two cars at a time to duke it out for a parking spot. The wait was long. Granted it's Easter so it's to be expected, however the road rage inducing parking is not. I'd advise to avoid eating here on holidays or perhaps go 10 min south to the other location where they practice traditional valet. I started writing this review as we waited. Outside. Between the time I started writing and now, there were multiple parties seated. Including parties that we waited with outside. Although it was nice and sunny out, it got chilly after an hour wait for what we were told by the hostess would be a 20 minute wait. My brother went inside and asked how much longer. She proceeded to say she sat two large parties and it should be 10 more minutes. 15 minutes later I walked in to keep warm. Another woman arrived and asked how long the wait would be for a party of 6 (which we were) and she replied 30 minutes. Doing the algebra in my head, I couldn't find x. How is it a 30 minute wait when we have been here and two other parties have been waiting about and 1.5 hours at this point. When I asked her, she bluntly replied she cannot control how long the guests linger and there is nothing she can do. I replied I was not trying to be contentious but we are ALL hungry and have been waiting well over an hour with you responding 10 minutes, 20 minutes and now you're saying you have no control. It's not warm out and we all have been on our feet waiting - and now you're saying 30 minutes to someone who just got here and clearly your estimation is not accurate. Her apathetic attitude told us all to basically hit the road in which we did. And two other parties followed suit. I will absolutely never grace this place with my presence. If I'm in the mood, I'll take my business down the street to Edgewater where the staff is hospital, competent, gracious and compassionate with true valet. This place is a hard "NO!" (underlined twice).

Yelp
Amazingly good! We stopped by for brunch; we got lucky that we were able to find parking and got seated within 10 minutes around brunch time on a Saturday. My kiddo got a pancake, eggs and side of bacon: took a bite of his pancake and was impressed with it's fluffiness. My husband devoured his chicken and waffles, which he reported was fantastic. I got the breakfast disco fries, and the portion could feed two! It was delicious, and took the rest for dinner. Staff were amazingly friendly and attentive. The place was a bit noisy, but it has a diner feel, so that's fine. Cozy. Highly recommend, and coming back!

Yelp
This place NEVER disappoints! If you are looking for a fun filled, exciting dining experience, this is this place for you. The food is exquisitely designed and everything has large portions and looks amazing. Brownstone does a great job at making their dishes "instagram worthy" not only are the dishes great to look at, they taste amazing as well. I have been to almost all of their locations and have been a regular visitor for the past few years and I have never had a disappointing experience. One thing I will note is depending on when you go, you may have no wait, or on the flip there is a very long wait. However, no matter the wait time, Brownstone is worth every minute.

Yelp
I cannot remember the name of the server and I did not get the manager's name. However, my experience today was not good. I have been to brownstone before in Edgewater and had pleasant experiences but today left me in shock. To begin, the server did not start off with a welcoming attitude, but that did not bother me much because people can have bad days, and I understand that. I ordered the s'mores short stack and when it came out, it felt more like a chocolate soup to me. I took two bites and since the server did not approach us to ask how everything was up until we were already ready for the bill, I felt bad saying anything because I am not usually one to complain. However, when I saw we were spending over $100, I could not find our server so I got up and approached (who later said she was the manager when I asked) a lady with glasses. I asked her if she knew about the refund policy and what they do if somebody doesn't like their food and she basically told me that based upon what I ordered, they are known for their "big and extra" pancakes so she cannot do anything for me. Then she showed me on the menu that these pancakes said that they came with chocolate that was a cascade, which I guess I missed while ordering. I acknowledged my mistake and asked since she can't do a refund if she can maybe send me new chocolate pancakes with no sauce on top and she said she can send me a short stack home since we already paid. I agreed and went back to my seat. My server came out with the short stack and told us the new total for this to go order. When I told her I was under the impression that the short stack was complimentary, she said "I'm not aware of what you two spoke about so I can ask" (although I thought she was aware because she was holding in her hand the outcome of our conversation). The manager came over and said things like " Is this your first time here? Next time let's look at the pictures (there were none) and read the menu." She told me because it was a miscommunication that I can take the pancakes because they already made them, but at that point, I did not want the pancakes after being spoken to like that. I wish I got both of their names, but hopefully they can be talked to about the way they talk to customers based on whoever was scheduled at this time. It's not their fault the way the pancakes are cooked but the degrading attitude from both of them made us never want to come back here.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend love brownstone!! Today was definitely our best experience food wise and service wise. It was packed so we thought there would be a long wait but instead we were sat immediately. Our server was a doll I didn't hear her name but she was a young pretty blonde. She didn't write our order down and memorized it all with no mistakes I was very impressed- granted we were only 2 people but still!! I got a double espresso, freshly squeezed orange juice and Nutella waffles. I was super happy with my meal. And my boyfriend got a sprite, short stack and loaded baked potato omelette. We knew it would be good because I got it last time. I 100% recommend the loaded backed potato omelette! Great vibes at Brownstone!

Yelp
When I visit Jersey, I always make time for a Jersey breakfast and Brownstone Pancake Factory fits that bill! I met a few family members at this location to celebrate my cousins' birthday. Of course we started with a couple pitchers of mimosas. These were excellent! I sure enjoyed a few of them. For breakfast, I ordered the Jersey French Toast. I loved this so much! The challah French toast was amazing. The Taylor ham/pork roll was the highlight of the sandwich, one of my favorite breakfast meats for sure. I loved how cheesy and flavorful this breakfast sandwich was. A must order item! I can't wait until next time!

Yelp
Brownstone Pancake Factory NEVER disappoints. Having a perfect location, off of picturesque 9W, adds to the allure. It was a pleasure being served by Ivana, for another meal. Once again, she was exemplary, always smiling, and attentive. The orange juice was served in a large glass and fresh. My "Vanilla Dream" Cappuccino was one of the best I've had. It is espresso, vanilla, steamed milk, and whipped cream. I really enjoyed how the aroma of all the ingredients spread throughout the table, as the sweet vapors billowed through the whipped cream (view the attached video clip). The Turkey Bacon Croissant was HUGE,  to-go box needed, and amazing. My Avocado Mash, with poached eggs, was delectable. I really enjoyed the twists of fresh lemon, placed on top of each slice. If you're interested, Brownstone will have a Valentine's Day brunch menu. Please, view picture for details and prices. Brownstone will definitely present you with good food, large portions, good service, and.... once again...highly recommended.

Yelp
Obsessed with these fries! Literally have been thinking about them since I got them whether in person or on Ubereats Lol Perfect blend of Alfredo sauce and slices of fried chicken tenders over fries. Perfect comfort food meal on a rainy Saturday afternoon. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
A bustling brunch spot on the weekends! Since there are no reservations, recommended to come earlier to wait in line/grab a table. Definitely a spot to satisfy your sweet tooth with endless pancake and waffle (and even pancake wraps - a solution to wanting something savory and sweet) options! Just keep in mind it might be very busy and loud on weekends.

Yelp
3 stars because the foods good but the service is terrible. They gave me the wrong order and wasn't even apologetic about it. But after I said I'll just eat it cus I didn't want to wait, they didn't even come to check up on us, like a quick "hey how's everything" being that it was wrong but nothing. Then trying to pay, they give you their handheld device to tap and hovers over you waiting for us to add the tip amount. Definitely need better service because with the food quality and taste, it could easily be a 5.

Yelp
Went to Brownstone for brunch and was seated in the sun dining room which was very lovely. My boyfriend ordered the Iced Cookie Butter latte. It was good, but wouldn't order again considering it was a small amount of coffee with lots of ice for $10. Rate 6/10. He then ordered the Jersey Parm Sub. It was very flavorful and filling. Only recommendation is to add more vodka sauce, but overall it was very yummy. Rate 9/10. I ordered the Chocolate & Peanut Butter Pancakes. I enjoyed the sweetness, flavor, and softnessof the pancakes. Also really liked the huge portion size! Only recommendation would be to add more PB and Chocolate chips inside the pancakes because I feel they skimped out on that. Overall, it was delicious. Rate 8/10. The service was quick and our waiter was friendly. Rate 10/10. I've been to Brownstone many times and will continue to come back!
