Stopped in at the combined Visitor Centre for Bruce Peninsula and Fathom Five National Marine Park—this is the perfect place to begin your adventure. The modern facility features bilingual interpretive exhibits on local ecology, cultural history (including Saugeen Ojibway Nation stewardship), and shipwreck heritage, in a sleek, environmentally sustainable building opened in 2006. A high-definition theatre presentation and interactive kids’ area make it engaging for all ages. The highlight of the visit is the 20 m (65 ft) lookout tower—112 steps up delivers sweeping panoramic views of Georgian Bay, forest canopy, and glimpses of surrounding sea & escarpment.

I visited Bruce Peninsula National Park and the Fathom Five National Marine Park Visitor Centre yesterday, There’s plenty of parking available at both sites, but it’s important to know that parking is paid and must be reserved in advance, especially if you’re planning to visit popular spots like the Grotto. The Grotto was definitely a highlight absolutely stunning! The Visitor Centre at Fathom Five was also a great stop, It’s also the perfect starting point if you’re planning a boat tour or visiting Flowerpot Island. Everything was organized, clean, making it a great day trip. Just be sure to plan ahead, arrive early, and wear comfortable shoes for walking.

It was an absolute delight from start to finish. We booked and planned around a Grotto getaway that included half day long or day long trips to singing sands, visitors centre, flowerpot island, criegs caves, half log dump lake, and the Bruce trails against the Niagara escarpment... The signs are clear.. you ARE a responsible human and will act accordingly in these lands and the national parks that are represented.

Because we were 45 mins early to enter the Grotto parking lot (our ticket was booked for 4-8pm time slot), we were told we can go to the visitor centre to kill time. And im glad we did! We were able to refill our water bottles there and explore the museum inside. It’s quite big and a great start for your Tobermory trip. You learn a lot of facts about the bruce peninsula, shipwrecks, flowerpot island etc. and get a glimpse of the old ships’ artifacts!

We got to Tobermory, after a 3 hour drive, and found we needed parking reservations for the main parks. One of the only options left to us was to drive to the Visitor Centre and hike this trail. We thoroughly enjoyed it. When you get to the lake, there are 3 places to stop and enjoy the water view. It was much quieter than the other trails and we found ourselves alone much of the time.

Interesting little exhibit on a variety of topics related to the park. We appreciated the indigenous perspectives and language that have been added. The staff were friendly and the space is comfortable and well setup.

I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to one of your staff members who helped us yesterday at the visitor center parking lot. Our car battery wasn’t working, and we asked him for assistance. Although I didn’t get his name, he kindly returned after about 15 minutes and helped us get the car started. We really appreciated his kindness and support — it made a big difference for us. Please pass along our thanks to him if possible
