Google
Great savory waffles, and the pomme frites are perfectly fried with a variety of delicious sauces. I particularly love the curry. This location has a small but excellent beer selection that took me back to Belgium! The owner and employees are very friendly!

Google
Great little place. Saw the sons vids on tictok. We need to support local. Great service. Cute location. We tried the pig on a waffle and the chicken and waffles. They did forget the banana but it was fine. We will be back to try more. Definitely a must try local restaurant. Oh the parking is non existent.

Tried this spot on a whim. Pleasant staff and dining experience even though it disliked my food. Overpriced for what I received and disliked having to pay additional for each sauce On top of each item. Tried the Machine Gun on recommendation, and after one bite I tossed it in the trash. What a mess and disaster to eat. Very much dislike the beef sausage buried in the middle of the pile of fries and baguette. The waffle pannini was less than impressive also as the filling was a tiny amount cooked into a single overcooked waffle. I will leave this to the locals who loves this place and likely won't return.

Google
First time eating here over the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. The vibes were great, the staff super friendly, and the food was fresh, delicious, and high quality. I ordered the small fries and they were perfect. Crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The dipping sauce was also great. I also ordered the Favorite waffle with strawberries and cream. The waffle itself is much better than your typical waffle and had this delicious buttery flavor. Overall it was a 10/10.

Google
I loved this bistro! I like to take my aunt to different local places, and this one is at the top of the list. The service was excellent, the girl was so kind to my aunt who had a lot of questions. The food was incredible. While neither of us got the sweeter waffle options, the burger I got tased so good. I also love that they have so many choices in sauce for every taste level. The fries were fresh and were just as good as the main portion. They do offer the option to buy a waffle on its own. I got the cinnamon waffle and it was delicious even without the toppings. So grateful to this place for giving my aunt another great experience at a local chain.

So delicious!! Got the Favorite waffle, sweet and refreshing. The employees were kind and the service was fast. Can’t wait to go back soon.

Google
The best gluten free dessert ever! Always fresh and decadent, I love The Favorite strawberry waffle with crème fresh. Todays offering was a feast for the eyes and taste buds🍓

Google
What happened to the frites? I’m Pierre’s most loyal customer and these are not the frites I’ve been eating for over a decade. Bring back the original!!!

Yelp
There is nothing like a true belgian waffle and these guys are the best. The staff is always friendly and helpful in helping you make a menu decision you won't regret. Although I have yet to make one I regret. The waffles are crispy and chewy and as I write this I am thinking about when I can go back. I always go fruity with lots of whipped cream like the Sugarhouse or the favorite. My companion usually goes the smores route. I have not had a burger here. Perhaps we will go back and give it a whirl, but then I get there and smell the waffles and some how, I end up eating another waffle.

Yelp
I don't know what has happened, but we just visited the sugarhouse location and had a massively disappointing meal. Tonight, both orders of flemish stew we got were light gray. It's always had that dark, rich brown look before, just like the real stuff in Belgium. Did they forget the dark ale? We tried it and the flavor was completely different than what it has always been. It was cold in the center, and the meat was undercooked and leathery. We brought them back up and the lady threw them in the microwave. It was still light gray and terrible tasting. The only flavor we could taste was black pepper. STRONG black pepper. Like chewing on peppercorns. It's been 20 minutes since we left and all I can taste is black pepper. The waffle we ordered was also terrible. It was somehow dry and crumbly, like a biscuit. Had it been sitting out? They've always been so good, it was a supreme disappointment. We have been loyal patrons of Bruges since the downtown location first opened. We have always loved it. Never had a bad experience, until tonight. A near 60 dollar dinner and the only good thing was the frites.

Yelp
I can't recommend this place enough. The staff is above and beyond friendly, and the food is above and beyond delicious. To top it all off, it's even priced amazing. Not the cheapest things in the world, but a great price for how much you actually get, and especially for the quality you get. Although the dessert waffles are a hit (and I love rasperrys), you really can't skip on the chicken strips and fries because they are next level. Every location I've visited has been outstanding, but this is probably the best one just due to seating and convenient location. I highly recommend a visit!

Yelp
The main guy who helped us (I don't know his name but he seemed to be the owner) was super nice, helpful and gave us great service. There's also fun artwork around the restaurant. I ended up getting the Ricky Burger and Frites. The burger was flavorful. Not amazing but really good. Everyone else was raving about the fries and mine were good but were a bit overdone for my liking. But it looked like that was only in my order. The curry ketchup was excellent though. Even better than what they have at Siegfried's I tried some of my wife's Torpedo Waffle and it was amazing. Come for the waffles and service I'd say.and come to this location for more seating options. We originally wanted to go to the downtown SLC location but that one is randomly closed on Tuesdays and also is super tiny with almost no seating from what I understand. Also, we asked them if they have a kids menu and they said no. And I thought that that was a bit odd.

Yelp
We walked here for breakfast while in the city and loved it! The sausage was a little spicy but so delicious, waffles are absolutely insane, and we split the s'mores for dessert! Our food came out quickly and the lady at the register was helpful when we had questions. We'll absolutely be back!

Yelp
What a delightful place! We arrived around noon and it was busy but we got a table easily. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. There were standard tables with chairs, no booths. (Note: if you're sitting on a chair that backs up to a walkway, don't be a jerk and sit with your chair way back and block the space...yeah, guy, I'm talking to you the one who had the nerve to look annoyed when people kept bonking into his chair.) One wall had a great mural with Astrid characters. I was looking for Tintin. I got the Croque Monsieur and it came with frites. My friend got the chicken and waffles and frites. We were both very happy. The portions were perfect. Neither of us wanted leftovers, and we almost finished what we had. The gentleman at the counter asked what dipping sauce I wanted. I said my husband and I both feel that good fries should stand alone. The gentleman looked at me a bit confused. I can be a little goofy. "Are they great fries?" "Yes!" "Ok, no dipping sauce, then." I wanted a beer since I wasn't driving and thought it would be great to balance out the meal and be refreshing. I didn't recognize any of the names of the beers listed and asked if they had anything like a wheat beer. I got a Zot at his recommendation and it was perfect. I felt that the cost was appropriate for the level of food I got.

Yelp
Dog friendly patio! This is a nice set up as you can order from the patio through the windows or inside. But the flexibility is nice for those with dogs. The folks were very nice and the food came out relatively quickly. Food was good too! We got the Machine Gun and Chicken and Waffles. On the Machine Gun, the sauce was really good and the French fries were cooked perfectly. It is at the end of the day though just a brat in a baguette with fries on top..The chicken and waffles had a really good creme fraiche and waffles but the chicken was mediocre (basically chicken tenders). We'd go again but likely for something sweet instead of savory. Price for the food quantity seemed a little pricy but the waffles and fries were delicious. Parking is a bit difficult and there seems to be a homeless group of ppl camping right across the street.

Yelp
Bruges is always delicious! Their food truck was at my son's school carnival and I of course HAD to get a yummy speciality waffle! The service has always been great and I have never had to wait very long fur my food. I haven't actually been to the brick and mortar store yet but I'm sure it's excellent! Their food truck and small restaurant inside the Salt Lake city airport are the locations I've frequented. I ordered the Rhapsody waffle that has crème fraiche fresh raspberries and Belgium chocolate sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food, brew and service. The Ricky is probably the best burger I've ever had. Eating outside on a sunny Sunday afternoon is perfect.
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
The frites are legit. Everything else we ordered - including just a plain chicken sandwich - was really well done. Heh, because of going here, I even got the frites at the SLC airport location, and they were just as good... and the same price!
google avatar

Oliver H.

Yelp
I've come back for the machine gun sandwich multiple times, and I'm coming back again. One day, I'll try something else, but that machine gun sandwich will still be right there in my mind.

Andres C.

Yelp
Amazing sandwich the fries or "frites as they call them are amazing and the Andalouse sauce is to die for. Wilmer was amazing and his customer service is perfect. I'll make sure to keep coming here every time I'm in town .
google avatar

Yelp
Not 5 stars because of the price, everything else is awesome. This place has great food, it always has, but it is expensive. Don't come here thinking you're getting out of here for a $12 lunch. The food is excellent, th service is outstanding. But $1 for extra sauce? That's a little much for me. The machine gun is awesome, I love the sausage, I wish it was the old lamb merguez, it's now a beef sausage, but it's still good. The frites are always tasty, and to be honest I've never had a waffle but they always look good.
google avatar

Holly A.

Yelp
This has become such a favorite of mine. Both times my husband has taken me here has been delightful. This time we got Chicken and Waffles and shared a side of frites. Didn't care for the sauce we picked, it was kind of weird. It was an Asian aioli with ginger, worth trying but not our thing. However the syrup and creme fraiche for the chicken and waffles was perfect. The waffle is a dense and sweet waffle. SO GOOD! My guy has also order the Machine gun and highly recommends it. Next time we will grab pics of our food before devouring it...but I make no promises because each time we have gone. We dove right in and hence got no pictures.
google avatar

Yelp
If you've spent any remarkable time in Europe, you know that they aren't all about escargot and champagne; they like fried garbage served on paper. I've never seen someone transport a beloved past time so perfectly to the US as this restaurant. It was like sitting outside a late-night cafe in Belgium surrounded by the noise and smells of drunken British people. The Machine Gun is insane. The sausage is amazingly seasoned and allegedly made, especially for this restaurant. The fries live up to the hype and really are some of the best in the world. The Andalouse sauce is perfection. The sauce itself makes most fry sauce taste like a hot pile of garbage. I cannot recommend this more.
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh. Local. Crunches & melts in your mouth all at once. Superior than any pancake could ever be. Highly recommend picking out a Belgium Waffle here of your palatal preference. Things you should know: I. PARKING We easily parked for free outside of the Patagonia Outlet II. SERVICE Informative and kind III. QUALITY Crispy outside with a warm, soft inside. The cold crème fraîche compliments the waffle well. I got the Pig on a Cloud because it has BOTH sweet (caramel) and savory (bacon). The street-style food here is up to par with a 5 star rating. The coffee is standard and simple ~ it's not their main attraction IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of available seating for a Friday late-morning
google avatar

Alycia M.

Yelp
Food was excellent, very unexpected and very good treat. We walked in the location at 9:25 am and the place was dead except two workers. We ordered and our food came out to the table other then that I didn't see or hear the servers... it was a bit strange. My son loved the mural on the wall. It kept him entertained while we got our food.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great business. Gluten Free Options for those that require it. There are two locations I am aware of. DT and Sugar House. Both have outdoor seating but SH has a lot more of it with plenty of shade also. Friendly service and great quality food. A true Belgian Waffle with all sorts of toppings and pairings.

Greg G.

Yelp
Great food. Some of the best fries I've ever eaten. Only one bad experience when a sandwich was somewhat burnt, but that was years ago and they were apologetic. Definitely recommend the machine gun sandwich!

David K.

Yelp
This was $14. Double patty is $21. The sauces here are pretty good, but overall it's just not worth the price for a burger and fries. Also, there are signs saying they got voted best fries in Utah. Not impressed.
google avatar

Justin N.

Yelp
The food is great. The chicken and waffles are fantastic. The service was great as well. I will return. The fries are the best too.
google avatar

Yelp
Bruges is literally one of my favorite places ever. I have never had a better Belgian waffle in my life, and it gets even better with the torpedo style! Bruges has had their fries rated as some of the best in Utah, and I still think their fries are the best you are going to find. Plus their dipping sauces are soooo delicious. Their menu items aren't the cheapest for how much food you get, but the quality of the food is definitely worth it!

Brynn T.

Yelp
Lovely place with delicious food. The waffles are sweet and sometimes savory. They look delicious and expertly designed. Get the fries they're a 10/10.

Angela T.

Yelp
Great service and the ambiance was fantastic. Hidden gem. Walked from the aquatic center and it was worth the stroll.

Yelp
I loved this place! I enjoyed my croque hawaii- the pineapple was nice with the rich ham and cheese and the curry powder was so good in there. Definitely gonna try at home. And the fries were quite tasty! I loved them with the greens sauce. We should have ordered the dessert separately bc it was kinda soggy by the time we got to it but still tasted nice. Pretty dense waffle. Yummy topping. And the guy working the cash register was so fun to talk to!!

Katie O.

Yelp
Food good but the guy taking orders was a jack ass to most people as they came up to the truck. I get the truck is loud but making comments or correcting people how they pronounced the food item anytime someone tries to speak or ask a question really made people start talking around in line. It felt very off putting.

Asia A.

Yelp
The place was cute but it smells sooo weird. We tried one of the sandwiches and it was not yummy. But the only reason I'm taking my time to leave a bad review which I never ever do is because the lady at the front with the glasses I'm trying to have patience maybe she's a little slow or something but damn is she rude asf. I asked for a box and she looked at me like I was dumb and said hello? So the guy instead got me a box while she continued to look at me and ignore me and when I got the box and sat back down all I could hear is them talking trash about me. Anyways .. go somewhere else

Chris F.

Yelp
Neat place. I got the machine gun sandwich. It was decent. The andouille sauce was good and the fries were a good addition. The beef sausage wasn't my favorite - dry small links that were only in every few bites. My wife got a gluten free waffle with bacon and crème fraiche that was really good (pig on a cloud). The Carmel sauce was outstanding. Son got chicken and waffles that were great. The waffles are a little more dense and bready than normal Belgian waffles but were delicious. Nice patio, good service. Small crowd on a Saturday night around 7. Some road construction nearby probably hampering business a bit. Shouldn't - it was a good stop for our family on the way through.

Yelp
There's a reason Bruges Belgian Bistro has been on Food Network over the years. Good news for you: no wrong options. You can start with the world famous Machine Gun Sandwich, their melt in your mouth Frites (fries with a laundry list of dipping sauces), or the Chicken and Waffles for brunch. Fun atmosphere with limited inside seating, and several tables on the patio/front of store.

Yelp
MOST AMAZING WAFFLES IN ALL UTAH!!! delicious, unique and always always leaves you wanting more!

Yelp
OBSESSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! the most delicious food ever! always quality and always lovely experience. owner is the absolute best! so kind and accommodating. been a go to for years. will continue coming back for many more. the waffles are to die for! the ice cream and berries on top!?! jeez! heaven on earth. my favorite food ever. please please please go here!! you won't regret! and bruges-keep doing you. you are phenomenal. ps the frites are scrumptious! they have many delicious sauces for them too to fit anyone's taste preferences. the best forever!! a good happy feeling walking on sitting in and walking out every time with out fail. bruges is killing it!!!

Yelp
My new favorite spot! So nice to come after a long day to slam a pig on a cloud and brugse Zot! Highly recommend
google avatar

Sean R.

Yelp
My memories of this place as a younger kid seem to be much better than my experience here the other day. I got the Machine Gun Sandwich- & Frites and my friend tried the Chicken & Waffle. My buddy said it tasted like they used frozen Tyson anytizers for their chicken. And the machine gun sandwich was not special. They put a couple skinny breakfast sausage links in a large baguette that was completely filled with fries. The sauce that came on the fries was good, but the sandwich was literally just meat bread and a ton of potatoes. It has potential cause though cause the bread was good and the fries were good, they just need some other texture or ingredient in there, and if they used an actual brat instead of breakfast sausages. Place still gets three stars because they have some of the best fries around and the waffles are good. Their outdoor tables are also pretty cool and they have offer some Belgian and german beers. If you're trying this place, the waffles and frites are always a solid bet.
google avatar

Joe Y.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday evening for take out. Parking at this location is better than the SLC location. Whatever waffle you choose, get make sure to get one that has 'Crème fraîche' a European sour cream. This location also serves Belgian brew. And the take out packaging box is neat and not soggy.
google avatar

Cal C.

Yelp
YUM! We were staying at an Airbnb down the street and stumbled upon this place based on a Yelp search. Got the Torpedo waffle (SO GOOD) and another one with chocolate and strawberries. Pretty solid! It was so good that we came back on our last day of the trip to try the Cinnamonster, Pig in/on a Cloud, and also the fries with mayo. The waffle was made to perfection, and all the other toppings was a nice bonus. If we ever come back to SLC, I'm going to try the Torpedo with some new toppings!
google avatar

Blu M.

Yelp
Throughout the years I've tried different Belgian waffles in various places and haven't found anything that was quite good, a lot of the times they try to pass it off as Belgian waffles but in actuality they're just regular waffles. They don't have the Pearl sugar in them, and they don't use dough, just batter. But with Bruges, they actually make real Belgian waffles, and that's what I was exactly looking for, so it was great to go back after several years. My favorite is ofcourse called the favorite. It has creme fraiche and strawberries. They make the waffles fresh to order, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, kinda cake like but ofcourse lighter and not as dense. The Pearl sugar is also in the waffles so you get a nice sweet bite as well but not too sweet! Love this place!
google avatar

Ry H.

Yelp
What looked like the owner/manager saw that we were struggling to pick dipping sauces. He gave us an extra for free and upgraded our fry size. They are super personable and the food is great!
google avatar

Minnie M.

Yelp
Delicious fries! This is the place to go when you're craving fries and fast food just won't cut it. The samurai sauce was the old one we tried, but it was licked clean by the end. A small size was plenty. The waffles alone are high quality. Crispy, dense, soft in the inside, not too sweet. Don't except to pay for cheap, but also don't expect to eat low quality waffles and fries either :)
google avatar

Othon H.

Yelp
Always worth a stop! The liege waffles are just right, and the variety in the frites makes it a great place to eat with friends!
google avatar

Sahithi B.

Yelp
This little shop transported me back to Belgium. The minute I walked into this store I just knew it was going to be good. We ordered a Liege Waffle topped with Creme Fraiche, Strawberries, and a little bit of chocolate. The Liege waffle was sweet and packed with flavor, the creme fraiche was light in texture and taste, the strawberries were fresh, and the chocolate sauce was the perfect added kick of flavor to this delicious combo. My mouth is still drooling. I haven't had a Liege Waffle this good since Belgium thank you so much for bringing these delicious waffles to Salt Lake City Bruges Waffles! Follow @sahithis_corner for more food reviews and pictures :)

Yelp
Brazed Bruges Belgian Bistro was Brazed out Absolutely lit time at Bruges with the besties. Hella balencis, boys, and some brazy waffles to go around. Authentic Belgium Boys! Thank you to our essential workers, particularly the Belgium Boys in Blue! Great vape box mode spot‍
google avatar

Julie E.

Yelp
If you want the top experience go to the location near Pioneer Park however love there's local flair restaurants available at the airport. Prices are reasonable ($6.50 for sweet Waffle). For those not familiar with Bruges I'd recommend two waffles for a meal or one for a snack. Thick with sugar crystals, great flavor, service was fast.
google avatar

Mylan D.

Yelp
I gotta say that they have the best fries here. With a large order of fries, you can pick 3 aioli sauces and I selected the fry (Utah's famous mayo and ketchup mix), the after burner (habanero and curry) and the lemon pepper dill sauces. My favorite was the lemon pepper sauce as the fry sauce tastes like any other fry sauce I've had and the afterburner really is spicy! It has just enough freshness of the dill and the zesty lemon for a great dipping choice for the best fries. The pig on a cloud is a sweet and savory waffle, but it was more on the sweet side. Like 75% sweet and 25% bacon! It's a slice of bacon, broken up to resemble a pig's face, drowned in caramel sauce. I took a piece of the waffle where it wasn't covered in caramel and it's still pretty sweet. Must be the batter. I also ordered the cafe glacé only because it sounded bougie haha. It tasted like a creamy coffee milkshake without the thickness.
google avatar

Shauna S.

Yelp
Yum! They catered at a wedding reception I went to. I've never been to their restaurant. The waffles were thick and sweet with lots of sugar. There was a whipped cream ball, sliced strawberries and chocolate syrup on the dessert waffles. I want to try out other flavors.
google avatar

Cody T.

Yelp
This was worth every penny. We walk in and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It is a small restaurant with limited seating but the service is quick so it doesn't seem like the seating is an issue. We arrived at 9:00 and there weren't very many people there, but by the time we left at 10:00, the place was packed. I ordered Pig on a Cloud and my kids ordered the monster waffle, the torpedo, and a kids ham & cheese. My wife ordered the Luke omelette. It was a ton of food and I was able to try a bit of everything. Everything was excellent, and I was stuffed. I'm sold on Bruges!

Nicole L.

Yelp
Was visiting SLC over the weekend, and came here on our first day and last day of vacation because it was that good! Fries are comparable to Five Guys- potato-ey, crispy, and so good with whatever sauce comes with the baguette sandwiches. On our first day, we got Mini Gun sandwiches, and they advertise that they use grass-fed lamb and it certainly tastes that way! The apple waffle was delicious too. On this trip, we got the Shotgun sandwich which was OK. Everything else we ordered (see pictures) was good. If we were in SLC again, we would definitely go here again and order other things! The location is nice as it's adjacent to a cute park and located near grocery stores and a Patagonia outlet.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
I love getting the frites here! Their waffles are also good, I love all the toppings they have. I think the one thing I'm not really a big fan of are the small sugar particles they have inside the waffles. It makes Bruges unique but I prefer to not have the extra sugar pieces.
google avatar

Elora B.

Yelp
LOVES BRUGES!! Food is always delicious and the service is great too! We've been here to this location several times during the pandemic but today we were able to actually go inside and sit down to eat. We got s'mores and apple pie waffles. YUM! The faces on our 8 year olds said it all. We also ordered the Machine Gun and a Croque Monsieur. Both are fantastic! The frites are crispy on the outside, seasoned and so good. Their selection of sauces is also something to note. Unique and tasty. You find these anywhere else. My favorite is the zango. Can't wait for our next visit!
google avatar

Serena K.

Yelp
This place is cute and quaint, they have sitting outside. We ordered the fries with Andalouse sauce (amazinggggggg) and the Rick burger. I also ordered the apple pie waffles and it is also amazing. The hot dog and burgers were very flavorful and the dipping sauce for the fries is absolutely amazing we went back three times just to get the fries. If you're ever in SLC area you definitely should try this place out, you won't regret it.
