I was amazed at my first visit to Brühwerk that the ice matcha latte tasted quite as good as I had in Japan. On second visit, I had other matcha drink, this time I ordered Ice Strawberry Matcha Latte and also tasted good! The Matcha latte quality is quite stable unlike in some other cafes in Hamburg! Keep up the good work for Brühwerk’s team! Highly recommend to come if you love Matcha latte! 😊

Another great coffee spot in Hamburg, gets quite busy during the morning rush hour but worth the wait for a coffee with a Franzbrotchen. Had the large cappuccino and was more like a latte but it hit the spot. The concept is as in Starbucks ordering at the counter and waiting while it’s made, then you get your table and clear your table afterwards. Service is friendly although contact with them is short.

Really nice place, perfect spot for peaceful and tasty breakfast. The bagels are fresh and delicious when warmed. Lovely selection of drinks (barista coffee and great matcha latte range) and fresh, not overly sweet pastries. The interior is simple, spacious and chic. Staff were friendly. Bathroom was clean.

My first visit to Brühwerk in Hamburg completely exceeded expectations. At first, the queue outside made me hesitate—but once inside, I quickly understood why people are happy to wait. The interior is tastefully modern—fresh and stylish, but not overdesigned. It has personality, but it doesn’t try too hard. The menu is simple and smart, with a few sweet options as well. I tried their pecan cookie, and honestly? I’m not even into cookies, but this one was next level. Rich, soft, flavorful—pure luxury. The real surprise for me was their seasonal matcha drink, which converted me into a matcha fan. Smooth, not too sweet, and just wonderfully balanced. The staff were friendly and easygoing, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the quiet garden area. The only downside? The batch brew coffee didn’t quite hit the same standard—it was fine, but not outstanding. Still, this place clearly puts care into quality, and the vibe reflects that. Highly recommended. The only thing I truly don’t understand is the opening hours – compared to cafés in major cities across Europe or the U.S., they feel unnecessarily short. Closing at 5 PM? That feels wild to me, but of course, that’s just my personal take.

Famous matcha and specialty coffee in Hamburg. The line was a bit long but it’s worth it. recommend to try their coffee and mango&strawberry matcha. The staff are nice and speak English well, the waiting wasn’t long and they have plenty of available seats indoor and outdoor also in 2nd floor.

My first time in Hamburg and this was a must coffee visit for me ! It was so nice, the service was so welcoming and friendly, and the food variety was great ! Really recommend if you’re passing by ! 🙌🏼

We ordered an iced oat cherry vanilla matcha to go. It was a busy Saturday. We were in line for about 15 mins and waited another 10 for our order. But this beverage was worth every second of the wait. Best matcha I ever tasted. Staff was very friendly. They also have free water available. They also had a good variety of pastries.

Refreshing treat at Brühwerk: Tried the iced latte with caramel at brühwerk and it was surprisingly tasty and refreshing — the perfect balance of coffee, milk, and sweetness. The café was a bit busy when I visited, but the lively atmosphere actually added to its charm. All in all, a great spot for a quality coffee break!
