Likely the best restaurant we visited throughout Mexico so far. Upon first entering, it was very quiet (holiday low season) and we were quite underwhelmed by the vibe and the seating near the park. However, once we realize how massive the restaurant is and how cool it was, things changed. The service was top notch, the food portions were great and prepared very well and the prices were decent considering the caliber of restaurant. If you want to eat in a museum/art gallery, this is the place to go hands down.

This restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. I ordered the pork shank glazed in black mole on a plantain purée, and it was absolutely outstanding. The flavors were incredibly rich and complex, with the earthy, slightly bitter notes of the black mole beautifully complementing the tender, falling-off-the-bone pork. The plantain purée added a subtle sweetness that balanced the dish perfectly. The service struck exactly the right balance—attentive and professional without being overbearing. Our server was there when we needed them but gave us plenty of space to enjoy our meal and conversation, which is increasingly rare these days. Overall, this is a place that understands both excellent food and excellent hospitality. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

Second time here because the food and the atmosphere are so good. However i was very disappointed with the service here. We had maybe 4 different waiters(?) and then once we were done eating our food it seems like they all completely disappeared and never came back. It took about 15 minutes just to get our plates cleared and ask for a dessert menu. Then to pay, after we flagged someone down, it took another 15 minutes just for the random guy we waved down to bring us the card terminal. So disappointing because the food is really great here, and the vibe is beautiful.

This place is nice to dine but then once you're through eating, touring the place is jaw-dropping , over-the-top gorgeous! Fine food, excellent service , and ambience like no place else.

It’s a wrap for our film production at this amazing restaurant! Fine Mexican cuisine meets Art Deco elegance and outstanding service. Samara, in particular, was truly impressive in her attentive and professional service. This is a Mexican dining experience you simply cannot miss in Guadalajara. The service is impeccable — servers are knowledgeable about every cocktail and dish. Nothing is placed on the table without a thoughtful presentation, adding to the charm and intrigue of this establishment. Be sure to try the traditional Jalisco Cazuelita. Highly recommended for adults — not necessarily kid-friendly.

Very spacious and open air areas with gardens were appealing. Moles of various types were part of our meal, but on the Chamorro it was overwhelming to an otherwise good piece of meat. Drink making is fun to watch but slows service a bit

Fine Mexican cuisine with an art deco meets Michelin star quality service. This is truly a Mexican dining experience you do not want to miss in Guadalajara. The service is impressively impeccable the servers are knowledgeable on every cocktail and dish . Nothing is set on the table with out some form of presentation and which compliments the curiosity of this establishment. The Rib eye chicharrones were my favorite & the suckling pig Wellington was very tender with the right amount of flaky pastry to give it contrast to the sweet moles it was paired with. Highly recommend for adults not necessarily kid friendly.

Incredible experience at Bruna’s. We went at 6pm and got to experience the restaurant change from day to night. The venue is beautiful and the food was delicious, but what stood out the most was the service. Our server, Alejandro, guided us through the menu options and explained things in much detail. All his recommendations were superb, we enjoyed all the food very much and the drinks further elevated our experience. After dinner, Edmundo gave us a tour of the entire place (both Bruna and Octo). He was very knowledgeable and his interaction with us was a great balance of informing us about the art, history and highlights of the restaurants, as well as interacting with us (my partner and I) and leaning about us and including that in aspects of the tour. For example I told him I am Brazilian and he pointed out the flowers in the garden that were of Brazilian origin. I don’t have to mention the incredible attention to detail that went into planning this place. Overall an amazing experience that we’ll never forget.

My favorite restaurant in Guadalajara! Ambience: I have to start with talking about how this place is all encompassing! You not only get a dinner but there is a whole art gallery that you can explore and its multiple floors, both inside and outside - it's incredible! The place is used as an event hall and I love how you can just explore it Drinks: must have drinks here just to see them make beautiful creations! Each drink was made with so much care and thought! They explained each one and concocted it in front of you Food: the food is amazing!! The bread they give you to start alone is amazing! You have to get the 10 mole, it's such a fun process to eat! We also ordered the duck tamale and the salmon. The duck tamale is incredibly decadent and soooo good! Service: wonderful and attentive service. We came here for a birthday and they even gave us free desssert which was amazing!

A day of tequila drinking and sun got the best of us and we missed our reservation at another popular restaurant; Bruna was our pivot and maybe ended up a better option! The staff was incredible, food was on point, and each cocktail was its own beautiful moment. In between courses we explored the property between Bruna and its sister restaurant; like a secret garden. For us it felt like we stumbled upon a hidden gem and it was the perfect evening!

This is certainly one of the must see-drink-explore destinations while you are at Bruna. I consider this spot as an art museum where you can walk around and explore between stuffing your face with mole, pork belly, and experience all of the mixology creations. Must get: mole, duck confit, tequila drink w/the pine cone Meh: candied pig + piglet, blueberry gin Missed: desert As an American, I took full advantage of the google translate app, which I do recommend liberal use while you are dining here. Be warned, the portions are exceedingly large, and I do not recommend sticking with one main dish per person. The service overall was pleasant, but more challenging due to the language barrier, as we had multiple servers come to us and sometimes getting duplicate orders. My absolute favorite is the mole testing plate. I do not pretend to understand the complexities that are involved in creating these masterpieces, but this is a dish that must be sampled and enjoyed with friends and family. It is a shame that this was so outstanding that everything else paled in comparison. The duck confit over the blue corn tamales was a surprising hit, which the server recommended over the special dishes of the evening. Food: 5 stars Service: 4 stars Ambience: 5 stars (seriously, take a walk in between the dishes) Price: 4 stars

Everything we had from appetizers to entrées to even the bread offered was wonderful. Service was great and the presentation was great as well. The restaurant is huge, but laid out very well and the atmosphere is so very unique. You should definitely try one of their mixology drinks for the experience. They were very good.

I felt forgotten and disrespected. We four were dressed appropriately and seated in front of the restaurat, but we received very little attention. We ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees and ended up dropping a bunch of money. How could we not as the place is very expensive. The food taste and quality? I can't remember as the customer experience was abysmal. I was disappointed in the evening and will not patronize this establishment on subsequent visit to Guadalajara.

We had some wonderful meals in Guadalajara and this was top of the list. Wonderful setting and great drinks and food. The drinks and presentation were super creative. The Lego-shaped ice cubes to the presentation of the "forest drink" were so interesting. The food was truly excellent as well. Make sure to get the mole tasting on the appetizer menu. Everything we ordered was full of flavor with wonderful presentations and flavors bursting off the plate. The decor itself built around a green garden was so creative and wonderful. Service was attentive and excellent. Will definitely be back, have to plan a trip around another visit to Bruna.

This was the best dessert experience of my life, and I eat out often. I ordered two desserts because why not? Oro de Mexico and Black truffle ice cream. Both were amazing. Oro de Mexico is a complete story in one dish. Soft, spicy and sweet. Unique movement with common ingredients and thought provoking. The truffle ice cream is robust, commemoratory, exquisite presentation. Suggestions - more light at the table.

Bruna is an exceptional experience from the moment you arrive at the door. Food is Art, therefore it's fitting that so is the environment where we eat. The black and white tile them throughout the property ties the labyrinth of a place together. The property is divided into two sections: The main front area with garden and a back area with private dining rooms and yet another garden. The subtle Alice In Wonderland theme is executed with perfection. From the glass building restrooms, to the statues carefully placed throughout the gardens. If the property doesn't impress you the food surely will. The mole sample platter is a must order. The vibrant colors of the mole matches the delicious flavors that burst from each bite of this Mexican "dip". The mole is served with warm, blue corn tortillas. The waiter will walk you through the origin and flavors of each mole on the platter. Which adds to the dining experience. It's the perfect entry to other dishes on the menu. You cannot go wrong with any dish you select. Whatever you do, please make sure to end your meal with the Creme Brulee and a Carajillo. It's one of the most delicious and well-done Creme Brulee's I've tasted. The Carajillo is a shot of espresso, mixed with a Licor 43 (coffee liqueror), ice cubes, and shaken. Salud Amigos! Cheers!

After spending three weeks in Guadalajara, Bruna was one of the best dinners. My five-year-old daughter and I dined at Bruna on a Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. without a reservation. Here's our experience: 1) Food: The menu is a great blend of Mexican cuisine and European. To feed two of us, we ordered the French onion soup (so good!), the tour of moles, and the pork shank in mole. For dessert, we got the chocolate in six ways. The winning course was the pork shank. The mole with the cream plantain sauce made the tender pork pop. 2) Drinks: It's a performance. Each drink comes out with all the glitter and glam. My drink came out with a bubble on it that I popped revealing smoke. It tasted good, but not super strong. 3) Service: It was impeccable. It's a little standoffish, but it's efficient and on it. 4) Space: It's massive and stunning! There are several indoor dining rooms and bars and a large outdoor patio and courtyard.

Fantastic experience from top to bottom for my birthday. The experiential cocktails were delicious and well crafted, the Carajillo Oaxaqueña is a must for post dinner drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant was gorgeous, an amazing garden and black and white theme. You must take a chance to walk through the grounds. The service was very attentive and kind.

Out in Guadalajara, Mexico and celebrating a great day. After extensive research, I found a gem that just had to be explored, Bruna Restaurante. This is an upscale, fine dining establishment with beautiful surroundings and an elegant feeling. Reservations are a must and we were served by a professional staff that looked after our needs. The grounds are stunning and decor is beautiful. We were seated and and given a down-load on the drink specials. The drink options here are art work and the creativity is stunning. We ordered the papa fritas with chorizo, the octopus carpaccio and the tuna cerviche. They were served with homemade chips. 10 /10 on all three dishes. The setting here is magical and only topped by the high quality of food. We never felt rushed and were allowed to sit, enjoy a good conversation without being rushed. Bruna Restarante is the top notch restaurant in Guadalajara. Decor and food quality are second to none. For an exceptional meal, beautiful setting and impeccable service, treat yourself to dinner at Bruna.

Mole entreé is amazing. Best pork belly I've had in many, many years. Service is attentive and very efificient. The place is gorgeous.

I made the rookie mistake, by searching for the most trendy restaurant in Guadalajara and my experience was far from being what everyone hypes about this establishment. The service was slow. It seemed to me the waitress had too many tables to take care of, the drinks were OK, but the food is what killed it for me. The aguachile didn't taste fresh, the pulpo was cooked well but lacked seasoning, and the STEAK, for god's sake, the worst piece of meat I ever had in an "upscale" restaurant, didn't have anything to do with me ordering medium well, it came to the table cold, no seasoning what so ever, it did had a dollop of butter on top, but even that didn't help, and it was tough as the sole of a brand new pair of work boots. It could had been what we ordered wasn't their most popular items on their menu but who knows

Food is very good!! The probaditas de mole is amazing. All our dishes were superb. Rack of lamb, chamorro, salmon, and duck tamal. Cocktails are served in an elaborate fashion, but all were a tad too sweet. Decent wine list, but terribly skim selection by the glass (actually, the smallest serving is 250 ml, which is about 8.5 oz). Service is slow and inattentive. We would've ordered more drinks and dessert, but there was so much downtime in between everything that we were over it. The worst part was the music, omg such a buzzkill lol. Mack the Knife, Barry White. Totally clashed with the ambiance. Towards the end of dinner, I was eager to leave. Overall, it's a fantastic meal. Definitely sit outside. Near the front is more intimate, near the back bar is more lively. But don't believe the Instagram hype, it's deceiving.

My first time experience at this restaurant was a five star amazing time! I always feel that Mexico has the best service no matter what restaurant star level you spend your money at. The food here was exquisite the service was spectacular, the location was perfection. The garden during rainy season was beautiful and magical felt like I was somewhere else. The presentation of the Mixology was my favorite part. I wish I could've ordered more drinks but the two that we got at our table were fantastic! They offer a valet parking there is also street parking.

While researching for our recent trip to Guadalajara, I remember coming across favorable reviews of this place. Even before our flight, I made a reservation on OpenTable for our group of 4 on a Saturday. That day turned out to be one of the highlights for our trip. Dining here was a true experience. Just walking in and seeing their black and white decor and the spacious courtyard was enough to make us feel special. That garden featuring rare plants was definitely worthy of a photoshoot! The waitstaff kept the black and white checkered theme going in their uniform. They were ultra attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks. They have their own mixology lab. Extensive drink menu. I ordered a tequila cocktail which arrived on a bed of cactus plants. Awesome touch! My friend's Tequila drink came on a bed of peeled oranges. Their cocktails were wonderfully orchestrated. If they were a standalone bar, I would still come here just for their cocktails. Apps that we shared : -Papas Bruna (potato wedges, we loved the sauce) -Tartar de Atun -Clam Chowder -Scallops Barrois Garra de Léon (amazing!) My fav out of the 4 were the scallops and clam chowder. Dinner: - Beef Wellington. Beautiful presentation. It was very filling and i loved the flaky crust surrounding the beef. - Piggy baby Rose. If you love pig, this was the dish for you. Elaborate dish that took 12 hrs to make. -Pato Poblano. Duck mole style. Another dish i really loved. -Amarrancha (Rib eye steak). Sizzling! One thing i leaned about GDL is they make their steaks really well. Overall, there wasn't a bad meal. No complaints. Best of all, we didn't break the bank. We averaged out around $60 (USD) per person. This is with several appetizers,a main entree and one drink each. We were too full for dessert. Bruna will always live on as one of my personal top dining experiences.

I've hesitated to write this one up. The food was good. The drink was good. The service was, selective. I'm really not one to write negative reviews but I was definitely an afterthought during my visit here. Happened to be in town for my birthday and I figured I'd treat myself to a nicer dinner. Granted I was definitely dressed down compared to others and well yes I was eating alone. I asked to sit outside and was given a small table which was fine at first, after sitting for a few seconds I realized it's was quite hot and all the other tables had shade with fans above them so I politely asked to be moved if applicable. I was moved and I'm not sure if this caused me to not have a specific server anymore. I was given a QR code instead of a regular menu that everyone else around me received. That's fine it was just odd. I kind of had to wave someone down to check up on me/order anything. Everyone was extremely polite I will add, just no idea who my server was. This fancy drink I ordered by recommendation of one of the gentleman that assisted me was brought out and walked passed me three times to tables next to me until finally brining it to me. It just all seemed so incompetent. Perhaps it's because I work on the Vegas strip and I'm spoiled with such service and hospitality. Seemed like a great place and I think my fault was I went with expectations. It was okay and it was also very forgettable. Enjoy.

Three of us went here and enjoyed just about everything. The cocktails were delicious and the presentation is over the top. Same goes for the food. We split the tuna tartare, the potatoes, the rack of lamb, the duck breast and the fish of the day (bass). We then split 3 desserts but they were all so good we decided to get a fourth. The flavors of Mexico was our least favorite. The chocolate layer mousse was by far the best. Between all that, a bottle of wine and three carajillos to end the dinner we spent around $5400 MXN. The service was on the money and the ambiance is beautiful. Wedding banquet material. Go here before the sun sets if you can. The grounds are great for picture taking.

Excellent restaurant! When you think of fine dining Bruna should definitely be on your list of restaurants in Guadalajara. Everything from the ambience to the service to the food is excellent. You will not be disappointed.

We picked bruna for our "fancy" dinner out while in Guadalajara and it was exactly what we wanted. Amazing gardens/landscaping outside and eclectic designs inside make it a very unique vibe. They offer some fun gastronomy drinks and elevated food offerings. We started with a mole sampler which was served with blue corn tortillas which was an amazing start to the meal. We ordered ribeye tacos which were perfectly tender and flavorful as well. Our service was great and made for an all around amazing meal. We made dinner reservations through open table which I highly recommend so you can eat here.

Such a horrible service! We came in last Friday expecting for nice a dinning experience as I've seen the good reviews and highly recommend.we were seated right away (great host by the way).and waited for a good half an hour no drinks or appetizers offered from our server.he stood by our table as he was asking a coworker what time kitchen closed as he replied in 15 mins.we had been ready to order as we knew they closed in an hour we gave him all our order.I've been in the restaurant business for 30 years. never again!

Great area of Guadalajara. The plant and decor are excellent. The food is delicious and the service is above average. Much better food and service than Santo Coyote which is just down the street.

Bruna was the best choice we made while being in Guadalajara we had to come back twice! We were celebrating two bdays, service was a tad bit slow but there were 2 parties of about 20 people each. The establishment is beautiful, they have lots of gardens and seating areas. The food is delicious and the drinks are fun!

First time here, beautiful setting, a unique experience and drinks, food was great. It's definitely an experience here. My oldest son and I ordered a variety of dishes, nothing was disappointing. Only drawback was that we weren't able to be seated in the main outdoor area.

Awesome food and ambience. Especially enjoyed the mole sampler and the farm totoaba. Wine was a terrible value though. $17 mediocre bottles sold for $80. Horrible wine by the glass prices as well. Stick to the cocktails which are sometimes presented by two people. Those are the real stars here. Fantastic service from English speaking Franco from Tijuana.

Absolutely incredible dinner here! The drinks are very unique. We got the mole sampler- all of which were delicious. Strongly recommend the short rib. The restaurant itself was beautifully designed with lots of greenery.

We came from California to celebrate a 50th birthday, and I suggested this place to all the people in our group for the main celebration dinner. I make it a point to visit Bruna's everytime I'm in town, because I always have the best eexperience. We'll this time our experience was not so good. The service was horrible! Thank God our food was good, because I felt so bad and had to aapologize to the people in my group for the horrible service. Our waiters came to our table twice, once to take our order and another to drop off our food. The other times we had to flag down a waiter(not ours) walking by to ask where our water was and then to ask for the bill. We wanted to order more food and drinks, but since our waiter never came back to check on us, we ended up leaving and going somewhere else. There was a party of 8 that sat next to us, they were all American, and they had a few waiters there catering to them, and never once did they ask if needed anything else. We were also told we would get a tour of the restaurant after our meal, we were also not offered that when we closed out our tab. It was a very disappointing experience, especially because I always hype this place up to all my family and friends back home. Good thing there are so many other good restaurants in Guadalajara, next time we will try something new.

Place is amazing! I've travelled Europe, the USA and Bruna restaurant is hands down the most exotic place and has creative, delicious food options. If you are in Guadalajara and enjoy delicious food and want to be entertained by an amazing setting... Bruna is the place!!!

This place has great drinks you can taste the freshness and their presentation is great. I loved their home potatoes. Their platter with different moles is definitely a must try.

Great atmosphere, incredible food. We were vacationing in Guadalajara and made dinner reservation to celebrate my sister's birthday here and had a spectacular experience. The Decor was really beautiful. I love the atmosphere, the food is the best. It truly was a fine dining experience. I would definitely return.

So I'm at my baby brother met me in Guadalajara for 2 days. Oh my gosh he took me to this restaurant and the atmosphere was very nice the landscaping that's inside is wonderful. I suggest getting an outdoor table it's really quite lovely with different sculptures and their cactus gardens. They're really known for their mixology drinks so after my Jack Daniels we decided to get a mixed drink I have the Rocket Trip it was so delicious I never had a vodka drink that tasted that great. The presentation was awesome. And then I have the piggy meal it was a baby Piggy I'll put the description under the picture. The combination of textures on the plate was so good. I've never had black organic rice that was so delicious everything went together so well. I was very impressed! We also had Curry muscles. That was my brother's thing I never really had curry with muscles but it wasn't bad. What a great atmosphere for a first date or just brother and sister hanging out together enjoying life.

Service was wonderful,.. presentation, impeccable,... food was exceptional, all prepared and cooked to perfection. This was not simply a meal, but amazing culinary experience with an explosion of flavors! I highly recommend Bruna. Fine dining at its best! Truly a must while in Guadalajara!

I think this might have been one of my best dining experiences. I'm from San Francisco Bay Area so I've been exposed/spoiled by venues that try, often with food-beauty and pretense...but I like hearty, well-intended food on the plate...this place delivers both. But wait, you eat facing a beautiful garden...airy, not packed. What they intend to show you on the plate is implied to you before you sit down and take your first bite...the place is beautiful, really well-intended, before you eat. The attending staff is both well-trained and bilingual (I'm neither). The drink menu was so evocative I strayed from my give-me-your-best reposada (neat) and their delivery was nearly a show....someone was thinking deep and those fancy-schmancy drinks/and presentation was spot-on, well-thought, and well-trained...and tasted amazing. Our table of seven, 3.5 gringos/3.5 jaliscos, (you figure it out) all agreed the liquids were amazing...and again, I usually skip fancy drinks. The plates: nothing failed. Excuse the NorCal slang: killer. Mussels, sea bass, scallops, octopus, cow calf (WTF? I'm looking at cow's legs differently now, amazing). Viva Guadalajara, Viva Tapatios! These people took care of me and my belly. Why? They cared more about food than pretense. Granted, their was was some side-show new-age (TopChef, season2?) science-dry ice bubbles (I clapped) drinks, but that kitchen delivered. Somebody back in the cucina cared about me for two hours, and we got out of there for ~$70 a head....it would have been 3x-4x that sum back in good old San Francisco....without the garden that made me not want to leave. Disneyland has Space Mountain, Paris has the Eiffel Tower, Gaza has those triangular big-things....and GDJ has this magic...I'd be so proud to own this place, and all I know how to do is eat and drive a car...the experience is almost humbling. So well done, thank you Bruna; you set the bar for me....and in a sense ruined many of my future meals, anywhere....dammit! I'll travel miles out of my way to be back....can't wait, keep up your art, because that's what it is.

I came here back in July when I was on vacation with my family. This was one of the best dining experiences that we've ever had!

I think the ratings from TripAdvisor and here are overrated. Their food is photogenic but neither innovative nor tasty. 1. For appetizer I had the mole tasting. I think it was too heavy for one person and you have to eat a lot of tortillas to get a taste of each sauce. It's main course quantity, need to be much lighter to be an appetizer. Also pretty 2. Duck publano, the waiter recommended this but it is just too sweet. Even the raspberry inside cannot balance how sweet the meat is. You can't even taste the duck. 3. Desert: great presentation but again too uniform in flavor(sweet) to be interesting. I think this might appeal to tourist but it's not a fine dining level of execution for food. The service and the surroundings are both a+. But it doesn't make up for the food.

Everything was delicious, great ambience. We sat it the patio and enjoyed the cool breeze. Lilliana our waitress was very attentive and had good recommendations. Steak was amazing, if you are a chocolate lover you have to try the dessert.

As always the food and service here are amazing! I had 4 appetizers, 2 entrees and 3 desserts and they were all extremely delicious. Our server was very professional and attentive.

I was very impressed with the grounds of the hotel since it was quite unique and natural. It is hard to find restaurants that leave a visual impression and this was one of the places you cannot forget quite easily. The passion fruit drink to start was very good, delicious and was perfectly balanced. Although I do think they need to consider giving a glass that has a larger opening since it is hard to drink passion fruit drinks with narrow glasses. The appetizers were quite good, corn and potatoes and of course mole sauce with tortilla. The sea bass with kale was very delicious and flavorful. Perfectly paired with good sides. Dessert was very nice as well, do try the delicious rose lychee ice cream that will be quite new for your taste palate.

Gorgeous place and attentive staff. Fine ingredients. Sadly, this is all show and no go. The food is incredibly stylish and tragically weak. Fish and pigs should not be disrespected like this. I cannot imagine that the wealthy owners would consume this sad result from a gorgeous menu. The emperor wears new clothes. If the kitchen has talent then they are constrained from using it. The proteins are flavorless and drowned in sauces. Better meals can be had at most taco stands. That said, the establishment is memorably designed. Maybe go for a drink. Not a single person anywhere around us had one positive remark about the flavors. Meh at grandstanding prices that appropriately reflect the setting but not the food. Great place for selfies.
