After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try.
The restaurant is long, with white walls that extend to separate the two dining rooms that make up the place. An entrance to the second room is carved into the wall and next to the entrance are white cubbies that were fit into another carved-out spot. These cubbies hold an assortment of small green plants. The kitchen is also nearby and the prepping station, bagel machine, and coffee machines are what's immediately visible. The prep station had piles of thick bread that the kitchen intended to be used for French toast. They were beautiful!
Daughter ordered the spinach avocado toast. She added egg for $2.50. The entree has onion pumpernickel bread, smashed avocado, spinach, chickpeas, quinoa, butternut squash, cherries, sweet potatoes, orange gastrique. There wasn't a lot of quinoa in it, so daughter forgot about it. Good thing we took pictures of the menu. She loved it a lot and liked that it looked like a vegetable garden. LOL.
I ordered the Ricotta Pancakes from the Summer Garden menu, which has house made ricotta pancakes, fresh mango, raspberries, dulce de leche, mint and powdered sugar. I liked it a lot. It was the first time where I had fresh fruit with my pancake. I don't think I've ever had ricotta pancakes before and liked it, as well.
Hubs ordered the Garden Frittata, which has spinach, bell peppers, sautéed onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, roasted potatoes. He liked it and it was everything he expected.
Next time we come back, I'll be getting the French toast. The bread looked nice and thick!
Service was friendly and quick. Will return to try other items on the menu!
