After 3 days of feeling like all I was eating was trout and Arepas, I was in the mood for a greasy burger and this place did not disappoint. Bacon was delicious (and plentiful), fries were fresh and crispy, staff was friendly and relaxed. Only small improvement I would recommend is to ask how I wanted the burger cooked. They didn’t ask and I assumed it would be medium but it came more on the well-done side, but still was really tasty! I would go back in a heartbeat. Top place in Salento.

Great place to go for breakfast before your hike in the Valle de Cocora. We arrived a little after they opened at 6am and there were several hiking groups of foreigners getting breakfast in preparation. The business knows their audence well and the menu had American style breakfasts with a twist of adding energy for the hike, like peanut butter on the pancakes. The food was good and the restaurant looks like a friendly community-oriented hostel, keeping with the young hiking vibe. Everything was reasonably priced and the waiter was speaking very good English with the other tables. The restaurant offers pack lunches to take with you to eat during the hike (or if you have a long bus ride ahead of you) and we ordered a couple. They came with a sandwich, granola, banana, among other foods, and was tasty and super convienent for the trek. They also put in an inspiring message keeping with the vibe. I fully recommend Brunch or Salento as a one-stop restaurant for breakfast and lunch if you are doing the Valle de Cocora hike.

After spending a week eating at this restaurant nearly every day, we were blown away by the delicious food and generous portions. Before our hiking trips, we grabbed lunch packs from here, which were absolutely perfect for our activities. Almost everything served is homemade, and you can really tell there's a lot of love put into the details. Highly recommend!

Delicious, huge burgers. Best gluten-free bun we have ever had (it's baked on premises). Love how they offer fries, salad OR fruit as a side for most dishes. Highly recommend.

5 Stars – A heartfelt place with something for everyone Brunch de Salento is one of those rare gems that makes you feel cared for the moment you walk in—or even just grab something to go. Before our hike to Cerro Morrogacho, we picked up a packed lunch from them, and it was honestly one of the highlights of our day. The food was fresh, tasty, and perfectly packed for the trail—but what really touched us was the thoughtful handwritten note they included. It was such a kind gesture and made us feel seen and appreciated, not just served. What’s even better is that they offer something for everyone. Whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or just a hungry traveler looking for something hearty and delicious, you’ll find great options here. It’s clear they put care not only into their food, but also into making everyone feel welcome. If you’re heading out for a hike, a bike ride, or just want a meaningful meal in Salento, this is the place. You won’t just be fed—you’ll be uplifted. Huge thanks to the team at Brunch de Salento. We won’t forget you!

This cafe/shop has a fantastic concept. We got 3 packed lunches to take with us on our bus from Salento to Medellin. For 25000 COP each, we got a sandwich, juice, 1/2 brownie, fruit bar, banana, crackers, granola and a little tub of peanut butter. They have thought of everything - each pack includes napkins, little sauces etc - it is so thoughtful and convenient! The sandwiches were delicious (we tried PB&J and chicken and cheese) and the brownie amazing. You can choose to upgrade your sandwich to a bagel for 4000 COP extra. I would highly recommend getting a packed lunch from here (it even comes in a cute little bag with a note!) as it will make your day so much easier and is great value for money. It is also conveniently very close to the Terminal de Bus of Salento. I wish we had gone here to dine in also, I’ll have to save that for another trip! Also as soon as we came into the shop, we were greeted warmly by the staff and within 10 mins we each had our own little lunch!

The burger tastes cheap, guacamole tastes after expired time. Highly recommend not taking the burger

We loved this place so much we ate here twice. HUGE portions, tonnes of vegan and veggie options, and most importantly for me, gluten free bread and lots of knowledge about this too! Bathrooms were lovely and clean, coffee was tasty, hot sauce was spicy and the wifi fast. You won’t regret coming here!
