Brunnhóll - Countryguesthouse

Very nice and friendly staff the rooms were clean and big. breakfast and dinner sufficient. The view is extraordinary overlooking the mountains and all the glaciers.

The service was great. We arrived at the end of the day when they were stopping dinner, and they still offered to serve us. I can't speak highly enough about every member of the staff we interacted with. We had a spectacular view of the glacier from our room. We had 3 people in our room; 2 beds and one pullout sofa bed. The sofa bed was very hard on one side and soft on the other with a bar running in the middle. Also, sheets do not seem to be something used in Iceland as each place we stayed did not have them. The bathroom is tiny, with the toilet being close enough to the shower that it gets a little wet when the shower is used. Overall, this place is great, and I would 100% stay here again.

Below average, weird smell in the rooms and awful bathrooms. Location is good and with clear skies there’s a good chance to see the northern lights. Came here with a tour so can’t comment on the service.

A great place to stay with a country feel - there is a functional dairy onsite. Our triple room was so big and functionally laid out compared to many other places we have stayed - we were in the newer part of the guesthouse. Our room had a great view of the mountains/glacier. The onsite bistro was so convenient, and food was tasty and affordable. They even offer a packed lunch (additional cost). Staff were extremely friendly, and provided complementary coffee/tea all day. There are even separate sitting/lounge areas throughout the guesthouse where you can relax, and a separate kitchen area for guests to use (including fridge). I would definitely stay here again.

We decided to stay a a second night that’s how amazing this place is. Great for kids and adults. Amazing views and great Roma with comfy beds. Staff is very nice too.

We enjoyed our time at Brunnhóll, known for its dandelion ice cream. They had a great breakfast buffet and good dinner options. They offer laundry services, which was perfect for where we were in the timeline of our trip. We had no issues there with requesting more pillows and blankets. They also had a communal fully-furnished kitchen where guests can leave their food, cook, etc. - and no one took anything! If you've traveled here before, you already know the beds are usually small and separate and the showers can be quite tiny. I would definitely stay here again.

I am currently sleeping here for the night. The staff is really sweet, take good care of the guests, the room is beautiful and the breakfast is included! I really recommend it if you come by Höfn.

We enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. Room was comfortable and everything was clean. Only issue was I prepaid for the breakfast option and the staff claimed I didn’t. Wasn’t worth wasting my time arguing about it but seemed like they could’ve easily looked into it, but they didn’t bother. Other than that, this was a pleasant stay.
