We really enjoyed our stay. The room was exceptionally clean—honestly even nicer in person than in the photos. Also, there was a common lounge between every few rooms with sofas and chairs. We did have one small issue at check-in: our room had just been painted and the curtains hadn’t been reinstalled yet. We mentioned it to the front desk, and they took care of it right away. They were straightforward and honest about the situation. They just fixed it quickly. One thing that may not be obvious from the photos is that the rooms are located in different sections of the guesthouse. The Eco and Single rooms are in an older part of the building, while the Double rooms are in a newer section. The Comfort, Triple, and Family rooms appear to be in the newest wing altogether. The newer areas do feel a bit more modern and updated, so room type can make a difference depending on what you prefer.

Loved our stay here. Clean rooms, attentive service, dinner available in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. Didn't forget complimentary tea anytime & homemade ice cream for dessert! Wow - we ate well here! Loved the cozy sitting areas around the hotel too. Could see a glacier from our window.

This is an excellent location with good food and home made ice creams. Nice view of nature and helpful people around. I had an issue with my car battery and they helped me with a jump start. I loved the location and views... My visit was a year back still thought to post my review.

The accommodation itself is comfortable and provides a welcoming atmosphere for travelers. The guesthouse staff is known for their warm hospitality and helpfulness. Spending time here offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature. It is a perfect location for a peaceful getaway and a memorable stay.

Good clean and friendly guesthouse on the ring road. Stopped here for one night on our drive around Iceland. Very unassuming from the outside. Dairy cows in the front field (they make their own ice cream onsite). We had a double room with private bath. The room was like any other one we’ve had on our trip, but the bathroom was unique. It’s basically one open square with a sink, toilet and shower. There is a squeegee the size of a broom that you use of mop up the entire floor after you shower. There is a half round shower curtain, but a lot of the water gets out the bottom, so the entire floor gets wet. It sounds bad, but it really works well as long as you squeegee after you shower. We had a room facing the back field, so no view, but front facing rooms view the glacier in the distance. The breakfast buffet was good and varied, even had a pancake machine. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The room was warm and we weren’t able to open the window because of the flies, so we weren’t able to given a small fan from reception, which helped a lot.

We really loved our room. It was very big, with a lot of space. We had everything we needed: an equipped bathroom and a shared kitchen just near our room. We really loved the view from our enormous window! Very comfortable! What's more, the check-in was very easy, even though we arrived very late. The owner was waiting for us – a very nice, amazing, friendly, and professional woman! We were woken up several times by a fire alarm (likely a system error), but despite that, we were happy to stay there!

I awoke to my bed crawling with bedbugs. I have the photos and videos, over 47 bites all over my arms, hands and legs; furthermore, the hotel's response to this was totally inadequate. They point-blank denied it, even though I killed two bugs on the bed and there was also blood on the sheet, they stated there was no evidence of them, please see photos. We bailed the hell out of there early before there were any management around due to no sleep and a 5-hour drive ahead. This ruined our holiday as I had to wake the rest of the group to make sure they would not be eaten alive. I flew home early as the sheer amount of bites shocked my immune system and made me ill. The Brunnholl Guesthouse were in denial, less than sympathetic, and offered zero compensation other than the room refund. I left clothing, destroyed other clothing instead of risking travelling home with it, over 2K worth, and a ruined holiday. We are looking into legal action.

We called and reserved a booking and arrived after midnight. A super nice lady had stayed up and waited for us, which we really appreciated after a long day of travel. The room was very clean and cozy, and we had a great night’s sleep. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Overall, a very pleasant experience. As Icelanders, we will definitely visit again when travelling around the country.
