The best Italian food in the area! Very old school quaint place! The servings are large. We have not had anything we did not like yet! Bruno the older personally greets everyone and is such a funny old school Italian man. Every time we come to Florida our first night of dinner Bruno’s is our first stop!

Our third time coming back and still as amazing as the first time. The staff was attentive and friendly. The ravioli was freshly made that morning. My husband got the veal special and cleaned his plate. The desserts were also made in-house and absolutely divine. Highly recommend making a stop here.

Google
Had some fabulous authentic Italian food with exceptional service. The shrimp & spaghetti special was fantastic and the manager was engaged, fun, and friendly. Even the bread and salad made me think of my childhood Sunday dinners. Bravo!

Google
A great option when you’re tired of paying the mouse :) Authentic Italian food, Bruno greeted us at the door and we enjoyed a delicious meal. Prices are very reasonable and the staff has an “enjoy life and food” family restaurant mentality. Don’t miss the garlic knots, they are amazing and they will bring you a second basket

Google
Food was great. Garlic knots we re e very good. My wife had the gnocchi and ate every bit. I had a pork special over pasta. Pork gad been marinated a couple hours before cooking. Not quite melt in your mouth but very good. Small venue which makes it better, so it feels like a mom & pop italian restaurant. Just don't take the guy taking orders too serious. He is somewhat of a comedian with a NY attitude and can come off sounding rude. We would go back.

Google
First time visit. We were seated promptly and the manager greeted us. That's when it all became unforgettable. The manager is apparently a part time comedian who is also a writer, who is also, keep up with me..... who is also a budding actor. He certainly likes to share this information so be prepared to learn about it. Now if you aren't a jaded curmudgeon then it's actually quite endearing and rather entertaining. I'm not making this review about him, but you should be aware of this very entertaining personality prior to walking in cause it's going to be on stage so to speak. The food.... we ordered the chicken parm and cheese tortellini, both were quite good with excellent house salads and delicious garlic bread. The prices are perfect for the portions and a refreshing change of pace if you've been gouged by the mouse all day of you know what I mean. We went at 7pm and it was winding down for their hours. Service was fast and cordial with the support staff working quietly and efficiently in the background. The interior was modern and dark. The outside is rather small in appearance with some interesting signage. You may question your restaurant choice on arrival but trust me, go inside, meet these characters and enjoy a darn good meal. Excellent Italian cake and tiramasu.

Stopped by after the parks and we miss Italian food after moving to Minnesota and this place delivered! Amazing Pizza and great service. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.

Google
Food was amazing! Service was amazing. Price didn’t match menu. Price on menu was total about 110 price had &40 tax and $39 delivery fee? We ate in! But still $30 per person wasn’t that bad even though prices don’t match menu prices. Great service, great food, old restaurant, old out dated atmosphere. But really good food Take out second night was amazing! Food and service was amazing! Bruno’s nephew was historical. Great place to eat, will most definitely eat again

Yelp
We just dined at Bruno's tonight and it was amazing authentic Italian cuisine!!! Great value. Our host Joseph was very entertaining and we appreciated his recommendation of the specials and made us feel part of the family. Our thoughts go out to Bruno for a speedy recovery.

Amber M.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Super friendly, delicious food and a great atmosphere! We loved every bite!!

Jamie H.

Yelp
From the 1st phone call to pickup it was a great experience. Owner has a great personality! Pizza was great as well as the garlic knots. So happy to have found pizza that doesn't have sweet sauce. We will definitely be back!!!!

Melanie N.

Yelp
We went to Bruno's Restaurant upon a recommendation I received while sitting in a hot tub at my resort. Located in a strip mall next to a tacky souvenir shop, I couldn't have imagined the amazing meal that I was about to have at Bruno's. The meals were authentic Italian. The server was directly from Italy. The food was just as authentic. Plus, don't skip dessert. They were the cherry on top of a perfect meal. I will definitely be back!

Lee Ann E.

Yelp
The food is good! Don't get me wrong, but we have been there two times and both times they have tried to charge us $20 over what we owed! Plus, they will stand over your table and try to bully you until you pay what they thought you owed. Lucky we have someone who stood up to them. Also, one time they would only take cash and told us it would charge extra to pay by credit card and they would not split the check. This time we went they only took a card plus they charged us wrong. Will not go back. Good food, but the service and the overcharging we are done!

Joe C.

Yelp
Total hidden gem. Best Italian food for miles!!! Skip the chains and eat here. You won't be disappointed!! Grazie.

William C.

Yelp
Being from NY, and having dinner with my parents I was a little nervous. This place was great , the Server gave us the history of restaurant and its family traditions. We had the Pork Marsala with gnocchi and Penne Ala Vodka. Both were delicious and came with a salad. I would recommend calling and making a reservation for a team event.

Yelp
A Culinary Gem with Room for Hospitality Improvement Just dined at this Italian spot in Orlando and, wow, the food absolutely stole the show! From the rich, authentic flavors to the comforting, homey taste, everything we ordered was a hit. We went through the gamut of chicken dishes - piccata, parmigiana, pesto, and Alfredo - not to mention a large pizza that might just top my list of best pizzas in the city. While the presentation was nothing to write home about, the quality of the food made that a non-issue. It's rare to find a place where every dish is a winner, but this restaurant nailed it on the culinary front. However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The service, led by what appeared to be the owner and his helper, left much to be desired. From a rather condescending welcome to a mix-up with our dessert order, it felt like the front-of-house team wasn't on their A-game. The situation with the tiramisu - being told it was available, then not, then available again - was a small saga that really shouldn't happen. Plus, the rush to pick up our check before we were ready added to the feeling of being hurried out the door. And a quick note on the ambiance - broadcasting Fox News prominently feels like a choice that doesn't necessarily welcome all patrons. While I'm not one to bring politics to the dinner table, it's something future guests might want to consider depending on their preferences. In summary, if you're in Orlando and craving Italian food that will tantalize your taste buds, this place is a must-visit. Just brace yourself for a service experience that might not match the high bar set by the kitchen. Would I go back? For the food, absolutely. For the overall dining experience, I'd have to think about it.

Cory A.

Yelp
Down here with a group of 28 we just had a great dinner from Bruno's pizza wings ceasar salads But it was I'm guessing the owner? who really sold us. Very nice and accommodating so happy just to have business many business owners can take notes from this guy! Keep it up thank you

Michael E.

Yelp
I have been coming to Bruno's every time I come to Orlando. For the last eight years it has been a regular treat twice a year. The food is unparalleled and the quirky nature of Bruno and Kenny always makes for a wonderful show. We actually refer to it as dinner and a show and look forward to interacting with them every time we come. Bruno has invented several individual dishes for me as I can't eat onions and I'm not a fan of fish. We make a point of bringing our friends and our family here regularly. This is my favorite Italian restaurant anywhere in America.

Jay F.

Yelp
My family of four loved everything about this place. We had read some less than favorable reviews. None of the reviews mentioned any issues with the food. Mostly, the one star reviewers didn't like the owner. We found Bruno to be the genuine article. He was attentive, pleasant and funny. Bruno was super helpful in calling a locksmith for us as I'd locked our keys in our rental car. The food, service and atmosphere were all great. If you're looking for great Italian food don't hesitate to try Bruno's.

Winston R.

Yelp
Did not enjoy my experience. Walked in as a single, single behind me and a couple in front of me. The grumpy Man up front started moaning about he has no tables for singles and had the nerve to asked us if we would mind sitting together, yes all four of us strangers (Asian couple, black and a white man), in a booth. Who does that crap. Was not pleased with the attitude of the waiter, felt rushed as all he would say is "you pay $8 (3 times) for Caesar salad", or you get mixed salad with your meal. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana CP with Linguini and got Penne pasta (luke warm). The Caesar salad was simply oily with no Caesar dressing. Never saw the Waiter until he presented the check and I told him I did not get the Pasta I ordered, he said "ahhhhh" with hands moving all over the place and walked away... the CP was good so all was not lost but will not return..

Robert W.

Yelp
So, just a heads up first that I noticed some people have issues with ownership. Which is fine. But I see that the team really sets out to give the customers a good experience, even if some don't understand what that definition means. Anyway, the food is excellent and has heapful servings for all, so you'll have plenty to eat for a great price. The ambience is nice too, like you'd expect from a good restaurant. Not bad. And please don't be spooked by the help. They know what they're doing.

Michelle J.

Yelp
great food! waiter was nice, don't know what these reviews are about. maybe they're just straight to the point and people expect to be babied in a restaurant setting. would definitely come back and highly recommend!!

Travis C.

Yelp
Kenny was great and the food was the best Italian food my wife and I have tasted. The desserts melt in your mouth.

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Great small place. Nice and quiet hidden gem in Kissemme. It sure beats going to the busy places all along 192. Garlic knots were amazing. Red sauce was the best. Being from the Youngstown, Ohio we have several small Italian places that are pretty good, but this places tops all back at home. I wish we came earlier in the week so we could come back but we are down here every year so it will definitely be a yearly stop. Looking forward to next year.

Mary K.

Yelp
I was so beyond pleasantly surprised by this place! the food was absolutely delicious. we had a bunch of different pasta dishes that were all superb. we will be back for pizza before our vacation ends!

Erin N.

Yelp
Okay, their pizza might be the best in the surrounding area. Been here three times for just pizza and was waiting to try an entree before writing my review. This past weekend, Bruno's seated my party of six right away when Carrabbas quoted us an hour. I absolutely loved my pasta dish as well as the antipasto. Everyone else in my party loved their dishes. It's above and beyond all the Italian chain restaurants in the area. The owner is very friendly and funny but he also has that no-nonsense New York attitude which might put some tourists off, but I don't mind. Trust me, you won't have a better Italian dining experience without traveling downtown. I'm looking forward to eventually trying everything on the menu. Thank you Bruno's!!

Chino P.

Yelp
I'm starting to believe the people who does these yelp reviews at the restaurants they go to are just lying to themselves and to the yelpers who read these and go to these establishments like myself. What is going on with their taste buds. We went here believing all the great reviews and not listening to the bad reviews. Well, it was terrible, the chicken parmigiana tasted like boiled chicken with cheese on it, the spaghetti with the marinara was watery and tasteless. Our waiter was cool and funny, only reason I gave it 2 stars.

Corey G.

Yelp
Food is good, but the bill had an extra $10 or so added to it. Owner wanted bill back right away, so we couldn't figure out what the additional charge was for. There were only 3 of us so the gratuity should not have been added in.

Angela C.

Yelp
The waitstaff were INCREDIBLY RUDE. And, the food was MEDIOCRE. Service - They greeted us very coldly and when we ordered water we were treated to a lecture about how much money they lose to people coming in and ordering water with their dinner. Then, when we ordered food the server made fun of those of us who mispronounced the dish - in an angry malicious way. We had to ask for the check multiple times - they would say okay and then clearly ignore us to do something else (we were the only customers in there). Food - My chicken piccata was borderline inedible. The chicken was tough and slimy, the capers didn't seem fresh at all, and the sauce just tasted like acid. The other meals we ordered were edible but definitely mediocre.

Joe C.

Yelp
If you want good Italian in this area there's only one possibility and it's Brunos. This is a restaurant in addition to being a pizza parlor. Got a pizza a couple nights before at a place ne'er us that we threw away and wondered if this great place still existed from a trip 10 years ago, Thank god a fellow renter mentioned Brunos as we couldn't remember the name. Had dinner that was cooked to perfection and made to order and took a pizza home. All I can say is all tastes as it is supposed to with reasonable prices. So happy to see Bruno and his partner still working there. The only other place I would eat at is over an hour away in Melbourne, Cerrato's Italian deli. No dinners but great subs and deli. This photo of their sign is the absolute truth and best advice. Go to Bruno's.

Jackie B.

Yelp
We eat at Bruno's every time we visit, the food is always delicious and plentiful the service is excellent and the lemon-cello cake is a delight, we always enjoy our time at Bruno's!

joseph p.

Yelp
Everything was great except the chicken was tough. I feel they need a thicker/meatier piece of chicken. It was just overcooked and dried out. Tough to cut. Kind of like chicken jerky. Don't get me wrong... we'll be back.

Antonia T.

Yelp
Decent takeout and customer service. Tried the lasagna along with the garlic knots and both were pretty good and fresh tasting.

Brooke M.

Yelp
Pizzas are great. We had a supreme and a cheese. The supreme was loaded with fresh toppings. The calzone was a huge hit. They are massive and loaded with flavor and ingredients. The garlic knots are a fun little add on. Caesar salad was fresh.

Eric L.

Yelp
Please avoid this place - the manager is grumpy and has a terrible attitude. The food was actually good. The waiter was nice but when the bill came, we had a big group and they did say they would not split the bill - so when we tried to figure it out - it seemed high. We asked if the tip was included and they said no but upon recalculating it (after we left) - it included the tip and the we tipped more. Shame on us but shame on them for lying to us and the hovering over us as we gathered more money to give them a tip. Boy they screwed us - shame on us but big shame on them. Especially considering the crappy attitude and service. Don't go there - this place has sheisters working there!

Madison M.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this place! Perfect example of "don't judge a book by its cover". It is in a small shopping center with a tacky Disney knockoff gift shop and the surrounding area is a bit run down, but the food and service was great! Authentic Italian food in a casual atmosphere with reasonable prices - what more could you need for dinner?! We each got spaghetti with marinara and other various ingredients and we all loved our food. The meals all came with salads (with house Italian dressing) and the table is also given a big bowl of Parmesan garlic knots. I'm not a vinegar person, so the salad dressing was too strong for me, but the garlic knots were delicious. The servers are definitely trained to perform their duties (I.e. bring food, take away empty plate) without bothering you/small talk, which was very refreshing! Overall a great dining experience and we will definitely be back! If you check in on Yelp, you'll get an offer for BOGO 50% off entrees or pizza.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Italian! Specials were delicious! Best cannoli I've had in years! Will definitely be back next time we come to town!

Paul C.

Yelp
I visited this establishment a few months ago and tried to hold back from posting this. However after reading other reviews I felt that I needed to post this one. I am a Certified Sommelier and have trained many waitstaffs on the art of fine dining and service psychology. I felt so sorry for this waitstaff and kitchen staff. The entire time of my visit I could hear, what I assume was the owner, screaming and cursing at the kitchen and waitstaff in the kitchen. Someone from the kitchen was yelling back. It was a full fledged arguement. I was embarrassed for them. It could be why it seemed that waitstaff didn't care. The food was okay and I would have probably gone back but if this was the owner screaming, he is a train wreck. I also saw smoke coming out from behind the wall that lead to the kitchen and I'm pretty sure he was smoking in the kitchen. Bruno, if that is your name, lighten up. If you don't like being a restaurant owner sell it or find a really good manager to run it for you. It sounds like you could use a break.

Katherine G.

Yelp
We have been wanting to try Bruno's for a long time now and they did not disappoint. We called in for pick up and Kenny was very helpful and attentive. My husband Jordan picked up our food and let me tell you, my husband being from New York said that he felt like he was back home. We can't wait to go back and enjoy dinner there.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
The service from the moment we walked in... until we left was impeccable. Your meal comes with salad and garlic knots. The lettuce was crisp and the Italian dressing tasted home-aid. It was a family owned, local place. Mainly families. Very enjoyable. The tiramisu is a must have. I could have eaten 20 of them. Thanks so much!

Camille G.

Yelp
They're not kidding when they say they have the best Italian food. They really do! I've eaten here with my family a few times now, and every time has been fantastic! I love the local ma' and pa' feel of the restaurant. It's a tiny little place off of US 192, and not too terribly far from the Disney parks. The staff are attentive and friendly (the one host whose name slips my mind is also hilarious, he's a lot of fun to talk to.) The food is incredibly good! The penne vodka is my favorite dish there, it is SO good! Overall, Bruno's is one of the best restaurants in the Kissimmee area, I highly recommend it!

Alexa S.

Yelp
Hello fellow Yelpers! We ordered Bruno's for delivery. We ordered shrimp Alfredo with linguine pasta, penne vodka, pepperoni pie, and a Caesar salad. Overall the food was good. The pepperoni pizza was delicious, the sauce, the cheese, and the pepperoni all equally delicious. The penne was good, not the best I've ever had but good. The shrimp Alfredo was good but I prefer fettuccine pasta over linguine. The garlic knots were okay. However, the Caesar salad was not really a Caesar salad. It was more of lettuce with dressing on the side. I gave it 4 stars because I did enjoy the food. It's not my favorite, I don't regret, but I don't see myself craving the food from this spot.

Gabriel R.

Yelp
Food was really good. The owner us a pretty cool old school guy from NY.you either get it or you dont. The Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken was outstanding! The cream was delicious.. should have ordered another one! The pizza was thin crust with great flavor abd crispy edges, everyone devoured it! The lasagna was really good and the flavors were well balanced.. they had just pulled it out if the oven and it was delicious! The prices were very reasonable considering the area. Definitely stop by and grab some good Italian food.. we will definitely make it a point to stop in when we are in the area.

Victor B.

Yelp
I was expecting a lot of this restaurant. Owners are the soul of restaurants, I really appreciate a family traditional restaurant, but the owner here is very rude, he should get retired! He was so unpolished with my wife that I looked at him for a few seconds and he told us "sorry, we are old school you know right?" Old school or not, respect first. Don't waste your valuable time going there!

Jan R.

Yelp
Loved this Italian food. Our party had the chicken picatta, spaghetti and meatballs, and pesto pasta. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Thank you for satisfying our pasta craving.

Demetric H.

Yelp
Excellent Food, Great Taste!! I eat here once a year when I'm in Orlando on vacation 10/10

Martin K.

Yelp
We ate there today to try a different pizza place after reading some of the reviews we decided give it a try, since we're native NYers we love our food especially Italian, Deli, Bagels and Baileys, but the pizza we had today was delicious, if counting on my left hand on all the really good pizza out 10 with 5 on my right on won't return to, this place made it to my left hand, and we pretty much tried pizza every where from Jacksonville, Melbourne, , Poinciana, , Orlando , Kissimmee, , will recommend this place, ,,the garlic knots could have a bit more (garlic butter) oil, and fresh garlic, other then that still was very good, we haven't tried dinning in yet for dinner, baby steps first, first pizza then dinner later, will recommend

ApuSri D.

Yelp
I visited this place about 2 weeks ago. There was a tall, older person with a thick accent who started taking our order. Some folks in our group had dietary restrictions and asked some questions about the menu. The person taking the order asked us if we knew english, said he can't take our order, then asked someone else to take the order and walked away. The food was mediorce. The attitude was terrible. I will never go there again.

Matt B.

Yelp
Very good Italian food. Pasta dishes are always fresh and have some great sauces. The vodka sauce is probably my favorite. I will say that the pizza is some of the best in the area for sure! NY style with great crust and ingredients. I recommend the pepperoni and sausage. Excellent! Thank you Bruno see you soon!

Brenda B.

Yelp
0/10 experience We went with a party of 6 to order pizza and the staff was openly complaining that we didn't order more than 2 pies. "6 people and all they order is 2 pizzas" First of all, our bill was still 65 dollars somehow. Second, you offer pizza on your menu so why are you complaining that we only ordered 2 large pizzas for the table. If you are going to bitch, at least do it somewhere it can't be heard from your customers. Owner was hovering the entire time, watching us eat and playing a video loudly on his phone. The waiter was also rude when we reviewed our bill to see why 2 pizzas and a few drinks was $65 and to see if the tip was included (they advertise that 15% gratuity is added for parties of 5 or more) overall bad vibe in the restaurant. Food was good but not worth the service or disrespect. IM WAITING FOR BRUNO TO RESPOND

Tara W.

Yelp
We had high hopes for a simple but nice Italian meal. Our waiter was friendly but from the start, the owner & place seemed a bit "off". My family enjoyed their meals which were basic American Italian dishes. We appreciated that they were served with a small salad & bread, though the bread was not good. My pasta tasted awful. It's as if old smoky oil was used & it had the distinct taste of gas. I could barely eat it. We still wanted to enjoy the evening & I wasn't up for dealing with this so did not complain; however, when our bill came, we were severely overcharged. My daughter's single glass of fountain lemonade was $6 & the bottle of wine was $10, maybe more, than the price posted on the wine list. We asked Bruno as he had handed us the bill & he noted "market rate." I noted disdain and he took off the excess for the wine but was not nice. Our waiter, who was friendly (but may have been a bit intoxicated) had just told us a long story about a customer who had complained and written a review on yelp the night before so I've waited a bit to post this. The bus boy was lovely, but the rest of the staff seemed to be under a dark cloud and it didn't feel great to be there in the end. Would not return, though anything but Disney or a chain means limited options in this area.

Melanie S.

Yelp
Great service! Pleasant experience and delicious food. Thanks for taking care of us even though we came in 45 min before closing!

Karen S.

Yelp
My friends and I were I town for the race at Disney World. We ate here because two people in our party were running a marathon the next day and needed to carb load. I don't remember what we had, but I do remember that we didn't have any complaints. I purposely did not tell my friends about the bad reviews regarding the staff because I didn't want them to say that they didn't want to go there. WE thought the staff was hilarious and personable. The food was good, as well as the deserts that we ordered. It's a family owned restaurant, with the family working there. Go and enjoy the atmosphere.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Diners need to know what they are getting before choosing this venue, but if you want a traditional Italian menu, fresh ingredients, and among the best tasting food -- this modest site is a must. This small-medium sized restaurant is in a strip mall and the curb appeal is frankly lacking, but in some ways that adds to its charm. Who doesn't like to find an unsung treasure? The service is attentive (and you might even be served by the owner Bruno) but, again, the food is the star. It is not haute cuisine, nor plated in a remarkable way, but the burrata salad, bruschetta, and eggplant parm was among the best I've had-- and my fellow diners likewise enjoyed the chicken piccata, and shrimp special. Meals were accompanied by a salad and hot garlic knots. We had a lovely Prosecco as complement, and a rich and delicious tiramisu for dessert. This is a reasonably priced outing worthy of discovery. Very satisfying!

Stacie C.

Yelp
Great food. They really took care of us tonight. We come here year after year...multiple times a year when we come down to Florida. If you want real Italian food visit here.

Pat J.

Yelp
Yum! Our neighbors told us anout how safety conscious these guys are during this crazy pandemic, so we wanted to show them some support. We called in our takeout order and it was taken correctly and efficiently. He even offered to bring it to the car. Deal! We ordered enough for a few meals for the 2 of us. Tonight we tried some of the Pizza Florentine (we like the spinach artichoke combo and you don't find it many places), Lasagna and Shrimp Alfredo. We enjoyed them all but we kept going back to the Shrimp Alfredo. It was outstanding! Huge shrimp and some of the best Alfredo sauce we've found in years. We added some Parmigiano Reggiano that put it over the top. Will post more as we get to the other items. But we'll be back here, for sure.

Michelle K.

Yelp
The food is excellent. Waitstaff not overly friendly. The only major complaint was our bill. They didn't give us the early bird special price for the one meal...2 pizzas, one entree, garlic knots and a fountain drink, and a couple apple juices ran us $125. Seems a little excessive.
