What a God send!!!! I have a new puppy and want to feed him only the best nutrients. Sean really educated me and was so personable. This is my new place for a very, very long time. I value customer service and knowledge and this place delivers.

Came in to look at harnesses and the staff at Bruno's couldn't have been any friendlier and patient in allowing me to try on different brands and sizes for my dog. Splurged on this harness and neither of us have any regrets!

I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Bruno's and I am so glad that I did! The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and they had such a great selection of treats and toys for my dog. My dog absolutely loves all the treats we purchased and I highly recommend Bruno's to anyone looking for great and high quality products.

They were open on thanksgiving which is amazing because EVERYONE was closed!! Needed some cat food and I live in Jefferson park past Crenshaw so I made the drive and Sergi took care of me and helped me out quickly. Thanks again Sergi!

Love this place because it's just friendly and a local business that connects Reith its customers. Always helpful and open later than any other pet store in the surrounding area. Local business, not a chain store, where so many are just hourly employees and not very interested in being helpful. Seans a great guy and a very good local business man to have in the neighborhood and it's very easy to find things in their store unlike the larger Walmart type stores ... I'm in and out of quicker than it takes me to just find someone to assist in

I just had a crazy experience with the owner of Bruno's. I went in on March 15 to purchase a Pendleton bed for my dog. I knew they carry these so went there specifically to purchase that bed. I have one already and wanted another one for a different room in my house. The owner told me if I bought one of the beds that he makes he would give me a deal, I liked the way it looked so I bought it ($165). A couple months later the seams start busting just from my dog laying on it. He's a 60 lb dog but this is a large bed made for large dogs and a dog bed is made for dogs to lay on. I contacted the owner, he said he would patch it up for me if I dropped it off. It took me a few weeks to get over there and in those few weeks it had deteriorated significantly more. I now feel like I had paid a good amount of money for a dog bed that is now basically worn out and looks terrible after a few months of use and I wanted to return it/trade it in for something that was better quality hoping he would stand behind his product. The Pendleton one I have had for 5+ years with the same dog sleeping on it doesn't show a sign of one stitch being out of place (photo shown- the bed I wanted in the first place). My dog does not chew or lick or paw at the bed. Strictly from napping on it during the day. So I take it in and explain (calmly but directly) to the half stoned employee that I'm not happy that for the price I paid for this bed that it has only lasted 3 months so I would like it to be replaced. He has no idea how to deal with the issue, tells me it's normal wear and calls the owner. Then he hangs up and tells me they won't do anything about it. I actually had built a nice rapport with the owner on a previous visit and had his number so I said you know what I'll just call to chat with him about the issue directly because I thought we had a nice relationship from my past visit and the employee seemed pretty lacking in the communication department so I wasn't sure that my thoughts were properly conveyed in the first place. I call him say "hey just thought it'd be easier to talk to you directly and since I talked to you about repairing the bed it has deteriorated even more..." (literally just prepared to have a back and forth conversation about the issue like an adult) At this point in the conversation he cuts me off starts yelling and cursing at me becomes totally unhinged and I say whoa whoa you need to calm down and he proceeds to say you need to calm down says fuck you a bunch of times and tells me I need to watch how I speak to people (me????) says if you bought a pair of shoes would you return them because you wore them and they no longer looked brand new?! Says fuck you a few more times and then hangs up on me. Actually if the seams were coming apart after 3 Months of normal wear on $250 shoes, yes I would take them back. I happen to work for a company that manufactures clothing and would 100% stand behind our clothing if it started to fall apart after normal wear that it was intended for and have absolutely replaced clothing to customers for fraying or quality control issues. Things happen, defects occur. People deserve to get what they pay for. Aside from that being his answer, fine, whatever...you don't want to stand behind your product or have customer service practices that will bring people back for more of your product, totally cool...your prerogative. But to yell and curse and tell me to fuck myself just because you are offended that I am questioning you on your poor quality product. Literally was just looking to have a conversation, I'm a reasonable person. Yes, I am frustrated that I bought a 200+ dollar bed (that wasn't the one I wanted in the first place) that is now falling apart after 3 months of use, but I never raised my voice, used bad language or insulted him. He didn't give me a chance to...he hung up on me before I could get any more words out. Then he sent me a nasty text after he hung up on me. The guy clearly has bigger issues than this and I feel super sorry for him actually. It's just never ok to talk to people like that for no reason and it's a shame that he has to take out his misery on his customers. I'm sure he needs the $250 more than I do, I'm gonna chalk it up to a learning experience, cut my losses and get the bed I wanted in the first place that won't fall apart after 3 months. I'm sure he will find a way to validate his behavior on this review as gaslighting seems to be his MO but people should know the truth about the quality of these beds and the lack of professionalism at this establishment. Wow. Good luck to him, I hope things get better.

There is no parking, I had to walk over 4 blocks and if the bag of dog food was going to be heavy that is too far. But, they were out of the Dr. Marty food I needed even though Dr.Marty said they carried it. My fault I should have called first. They did seem to have a large variety of dog harnesses and other accessories. My first time at the store, but I probably won't go there again, because the parking is a big problem on that busy road. Yes, it pays to shop local. This is a prime example of shopping at your local small business. I sit several of my neighbor's dogs and often pop in to purchase treats. The staff have an uncanny knack of remembering the dogs and offering up a small treat as an extra service. I always feel welcoming and of course the dogs know where to steer me if in doubt!

I love supporting local businesses. They are do helpful and have a great variety of cool stuff for my dogters. I've been going here for quite so'e time. Cody and his staff is knowledgeable, helpful and nice.

Halshans Dog Food provider. Enough said. I drive into LA from Palm Spring and bring an ice chest full home for the freezer.

Came in to buy a dog bed and was really amazed with the uniqueness and the quality. It comes in a few sizes/colors and has an pillow for comfort, decor or removal. The owner was so nice and helpful. Will definitely be back for more for us around the house and gifts for friends!

Amazing little gem of a boutique with the best quality everything for fur children! And the grooming is OUTSTANDING! Hands down Best in LA HECK EVEN THE WESTCOAST ! I'm from Seattle and have tried way to many that just don't even compare . The team is so sweet! You can tell they have passion for grooming and love the animals! Cleanliness is on point it doesn't smell like wet dog like a lot of other grooming /boutique places do.. My little world is Nemo Norman he is a PeekaPom (Pekingese-Pomeranian) he is not easy to groom.. not just the double coat or very particular mom.. we go to the beach daily, he hates baths, getting brushed etc. the sass this boy has he is like a human.. But the squad here makes him comfortable and picture perfect every time! Thank you guys we are so grateful and appreciate y'all so much!

It's important to me to shop at small businesses when possible. I come here because they are helpful and understand how much we love our dogs I was looking for dog stairs this last visit and Sean was very helpful with that Also, there are tons of fun dog beds, healthy pet food etc that can't be found anywhere else!

Love the new dog beds I picked up today. Talk about functional art. Also got some treats, gear , and accessories while we were at it. Big love and big recommendation.

Alec is so patient and thorough with his grooming our fluffy white husky mix, Foxy Lady. He's really great at what he does, you can tell there is passion in his profession. The grooming services are pricey, but knowing she's in good hands, never stuck in a crate and being truly loved and cared for makes it worth it.

pretty solid little neighborhood pet shop. they vary pretty much everything for your dog and cat including high end brands and supplements for various issues. they have refrigerated sections for raw and frozen food, treats, leashes, bowls and a nice selection of beds. They give good advice and know the products they carry. They will also work with u to give u good pricing so u don't have to go a few miles to a big chain store to get something that's in a way more convenient location especially if you live in venice. I will be back for sure.

Great selection of pet gifts and also pet food with friendly service. They also carry high-quality raw food for cats. I prefer supporting this business to the big chains.

Is Bruno the Dog? What's the cat's name? I walked in ... Looks aren't everything. Dig, deeper; pardon me, scratch the surface and I found this "boutique" low on cat toys , treats and a caring, genuine loving attitude towards animals. Nice toys though. I love both cats and dogs but let's meow the truth. Bruno needs to wake up to the obvious pet discrimination. It's expensive with minimal cat accessories and treats. Bruno may need two stores. One for lovely dogs . The other for lovely cats. I sensed and bit of arrogance from the owners . Even in purchasing their products and service. Possibly store owners are real fake. Its not the Cats Meow. It's a social scene, expensive spending " boutique' for people wanting to socialize and keep the local gossip alive. It is rumored. Known for spreading gossip. In a pet store. There should be better role modeling from the owners. To keep their words on a leash. Barking up a tree. Meowing in the alley. No thank you. I want an authentic establishment with genuine pets lovers. Equally providing for Cats and Dogs. Again. It may be best to open a store for dogs and one for cats. Both are loving animals and deserving equal care. Please. Let's pick up the pace on that one. Shameful to have to point that out. Yet necessary. I hope to see progress .

A quaint and tasteful neighborhood dog spot. I have been taking my little terrier mix here for the past few months and we both love the service. My little pooch comes home clean, well kept and a big calm smile every time. The staff is kind, responsive and professional. I recommend these guys to the neighborhood. A job well done

I've been a regular of this wonderful pet boutique for a few years now. Friendly and helpful staff with a great selection of food, accessories, etc for your dog and/or cat! I recently used their grooming service for the first time and I swear my dog now looks and acts 10 years younger after her "Spa Day" here! Definitely planning on returning when the need arises!

Great local pet store! Especially at a time when the big online retailers have a very limited selection, Bruno's is well stocked with even the more exotic and premium brands and flavors of cat food. Plus, the staff is friendly and helpful. You won't go wrong stopping in here.

Bruno's has everything that you wish you could find for your pup elsewhere. A lot of care goes into the selection of their inventory - mostly small producers, craft made and even imported items from Europe. The customer service is excellent as well. They have a full understanding of their products and what will work best for your dog. This is a one-of-a-kind place.

Amazing!! Incredible selection. The products stocked here is simply well thought out. It's not just a carry case or just another supplement for the pets. Heck....they even thought of providing a sample of Dogchies...that I promptly returned for a full size bottle because...OMG, my dog totally chilled like I hadn't seen in a decade. Price is reasonable. Quality of stuff...exceptional.

I don't log in to Yelp often...only to write if it's an absolutely AMAZING experience or absolutely TERRIBLE experience. I got a message after I wrote this review from the short owner telling me and I quote "Go fuck yourself, go solicit your flowers elsewhere..." and a bunch of other cuss words I don't need to write. I did a screenshot of the owner cussing me out...but I can't upload pictures for a review it seems. Just overall unprofessional and not mature or grown. This is not how you handle this. I don't even care cus I'll never go back in there and told everyone I know not to support this type of business. But to keep coming after me in negative nasty messages shows and tells a lot. People that are friendly and nice, don't write things like "we are the friendliest and nicest and coolest company ever" lol... Your a pet store its insane to me to be so rude you have stagnant items for sale...this isn't a service like Uber or massage...there is very little interaction with the customers yet somehow you still can't act right in those few moments you do have to "deal" with people. It's sad really...and sad that people would still come in and pay for things from you to support you.

Came here because someone at the dog park recommended me this store to cut my dogs nails. I used to take them to VCA and have the vet do it but honestly here they do it much better. My dogs were so happy and came out from the room not looking stressed or with anxiety. The girl who cut the nails was nice and professional. I also love all the accessories and food selection they have.

I can't say enough nice things about this place. I'm partially disabled and can't lift that well. The dog food I get for my dog is Halshan and its not found everywhere. I called them and they were kind enough to deliver it to me with and help me bring it in my apartment with mask. They were very kind and all about the customer service.

Great ownership , we buy all our accessories and food for cat and dog from here ... Every time we come in, we get great and fast service Smiles and good times. All other customers are very happy and friendly. We certainly suggest you go for a visit !

Top notch spot! Really nice well layed out space. Super clean. The friendliest staff you'll find. Cody is The Man, always knows exactly what I'm looking for when I walk in. If ever he's out of our VDog (which isn't often) he's always so apologetic, and tells me exactly when to expect it in, and offers to call as soon as it does. He also always asks how our pups are and how everything is going, and not just to create small talk, you can tell this guy really cares. He and his staff are also very knowledgeable about your pets needs, more than just toys treats beds leashes ect. Any pet questions you might have, be it medical, nutritional or other care they will likely point you in the right direction. Anytime there is a new face behind the counter you can rest assured that they will give you the best service, with a smile. I could order the food online from the VDog website, or Chewy, or whatever but I'd rather take the time to support this great shop and the folks behind the counter.

I LOVE Bruno's! Not only do they have an amazing selection of beds & toys for your furry friend, they carry the finest pet food on the market and their groomers are the very BEST! I used to go to another, competitive store down the road, but literally followed my groomers Thalia & Alec to their new location at Bruno's and couldn't be happier!

We stopped in today on Valentines Day to pick up a new leash for out pup. We were really excited to visit this place because of all the great reviews. But, on this particular Sunday afternoon the guy working the front desk was not very inviting. We came in, said hello, he didn't say much as he continued to stock the shelves. Usually that's all it takes for us to leave and spend our money elsewhere but we drove from Westwood and we figured he may be really busy. So, we began to look around... Still nothing... "Can I help, are you looking for anything in particular?" NOTHING. We circled around to the front desk where I tried one more time. I asked, "Do you guys specialize in anything that we can't get anywhere else?" Now, if anyone else is like us, where bad customer service grinds our gears then you know - we went above and beyond to make this work (BTW we were the only patrons in the store). His reply was "No we just sell stuff for dogs and cats." Dude... That was it! We grabbed our Frenchy and walked out (It's laughable now). But, Very disappointing! I really hope this was a bad day but with that being said - We won't be back!

I was so tired of seeing the same cheesy generic dog collars, leashes, and accessories at places like Petco and Petsmart. This place has such great selection of fashionable items. I bought a cute collar and matching leash made of leather. Great quality! Definitely on the pricier side though

I really liked this store. Staff was really nice and helpful. They had a lot of great products. Many products / food "Made in the US" and repurposed products which I always look for. The person running the store at the time was nice and helpful. The only reason I took a star off is just style selection. Parking was difficult because it's located on Lincoln and there was a lot of traffic.

We have been bringing our pup to Bruno's since he was just a baby at 14 weeks old. I have always liked the place as it had a great selection and super friendly owners. We recently bought a dog collar for our pup that fit him perfect at the store. After wearing it on just one walk it got alarmingly loose as he is still a puppy and learning to not tug on his leash. The collar got so loose that he could slide out of it without unlatching it. We decided to attempt to see if Bruno's would be willing to exchange the leash for a smaller size. We were disappointed to find out that it wasn't an option as "it would hurt the small business." What about our pup? What happens if he slides out of it and ends up running into the street? Clearly it's about the business though. None the less we got a great new leash at Unleashed down the street! We won't be back to Bruno's and I just want to warn everyone to make sure you are positive that what you buy is exactly what you need as it's a final sale! Poor customer service, small businesses should be about the customer not the business. Lost us as customers forever. I want my puppy to be safe.

It looks like I'm not the only one with the problem with customer service, I wasn't going to post but after reading someone with a similar experience I am happy my experience wasn't isolated. As a new puppy dad, you lack sleep and for me a lot of speed bumps along the way. I heard Bruno's would be a great local spot. At first I was like "awesome, a local small business" especially catering to pets in the Venice area but that turned sour real fast. I bought a harness for my pup, and it didn't fit. So I showed back at Bruno's to exchange but the dude behind the counter said "do you have the package?" "I said no" I honestly been a zombie I didn't think to keep it especially since the first time he told me to come back to exchange if it didn't fit. Then he said "how I can resell this if I don't have the package" and that got me pissed - how do you not care about your customer, especially one who has a puppy and most likely to spend money at your business for a long time. After I couldn't control my mouth, I was in shock how strange a small biz guy operates and basically put his needs first before your customer. He needs to pick up a book on customer service and take a class on building a customer base especially local business. Oh did I mention when I left he said "look, can't do anything with this" and I watched toss the (new) harness that didn't fit into the trash can.. I turned back "I said what's wrong with you, you should at least donate it." strange. Update from cody's comment: I never said I didn't lose it (see my ^), you started on why I didn't have a box, and how you're a small biz Though you gave a new harness bc you knew you were wrong, why don't you take some responsibility on your actions. An amazing boutique with an incredible selection for dogs and cats of all sizes. We looked in four different stores for a specific small harness that would safely fit my tiny dog. Bruno's had the exact italian harness we were looking for and the friendly employee helped us try it on and find the right fit. All the treats we usually buy for our very picky pooches all in one place too! Will definitely be coming back!

Truly could not say enough positive things about this local gem. The two owners and their staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and generous. Involved in local events and apt to bring in local vendors. My little love gets sooooo excited every time we go, greeted with treats and loves. We've bought treats, leashes, collar and more. Pay them a visit!

I shop here for the clothing- which is basically eliminated. They used to have a huge selection of pet wear. Now it's reduced to an endcap. I asked the sales person if they were getting in holiday clothing and she said not much this year. They had 2 styles of dogo brand antlers and Santa hats- but that's it. A few pieces they've been stuck with for years (old pret-a-paw). No real reason for me to shop here. The food/treats are more expensive than anywhere else. The front display is now all masks (small ear wrap style). No cute leashes, bandanas, etc. The toy inventory was old. Nothing new this year. I think they are really just focusing on the other services they now offer. If I'm in the area I might stop there but I'll never go out of my way again. The staff is always great. Parking was crazy bad. All the street parking spots taken. They have a sign to park in back but that was also taken. Not woofstastic.

Bruno's is the best. We get local delivery, and they special order any food that they don't already carry. The owners have always been lovely when we bring our pup in, and are a part of the Venice community. I watched a dog pee on something in the store the other day, and they remained kind to the customer/dog parent. Also, Cody has given me a harness for a neighborhood rescue pup who had a parent who couldn't afford a proper fitting harness as her dog grew. Great shop, great owners.

I had a great experience today at Bruno's buying some pet odor remover. The woman helping me was extremely kind with her time and made sure to assist me as much as she could in selecting the right product. I find the store to often be clean, hospitable, and both owners are extremely friendly and often present. Glad to have these guys in the neighborhood. Thanks Bruno's!

Cody, and the whole Bruno's team are some of the most helpful, informative, passionate and caring pet people I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with! I'm always being helped, greeted with a genuine smile and they always take care of me! I would recommend Bruno's over anything! I drive all the way from San Fernando valley just to get my dogs pet supply here! All quality! All healthy! Over a high standard place with such a wide selection you might get lost! Haha thank you guys!

Tried Bruno's again and I feel like my first review was a bit harsh. They were nice and helpful and I think they have redeemed themselves in my eyes. Also, I didn't see Cody's response until today and I appreciate the gesture but my updated review is an honest updated review and not because of his offer.

My friend Thalia and Alec started working at Bruno's. What a asset to the company. The two were planning on opening their own grooming business. Thalia work speak for itself, the customers have always spoke highly of their work. What a great opportunity to have them at Bruno's.
