I can only say that I've had one pizza and one beer here, but if these are representative of the rest of what they serve here, pizza shops should take lessons on how to make a pizza.
It's not a New York pizza, mind you, but it's very good. No, it's exceptional.
Light thin crust, excellent sauce, perfectly baked. As a college student, I lived on eating pizza: hot at night, cold in the morning... the pizza, not me.
This stuff was great.
Had a cranberry salad entree which was very good (accompanied by the pizza).
Bruno's is very popular. The people 15 miles away recommended that I go there for a pizza -- and I'm very glad I did. The people are very nice; the tables are very clean, and the prices are good... (I paid $52 for an extra-large pizza in Gilbert, AZ last month: it wasn't worth it, and the price was outrageous for what we got. The total price, including a generous tip, was just over $33.)
I hear people complain in restaurants that they have to wait for their food. True, it's not kept in a hot version of suspended animation waiting for people to walk in the door, but you equip your kitchen for the demand you're likely to face -- especially in a small town. Yes, I had to wait (about 1/2 of a beer's worth of sipping... and I wasn't thirsty), but the wait was worth it. The restaurant was full when I walked in -- fortunately someone gathered their things and walked out in a food coma while I was ordering for take-out.
They have a small list of their specialties, which I hope to try next time I'm in town. If you don't read between the lines, I'm coming back.
