Brunswick Grove

Very good food , about 15 min from Rutgers. Had chicken Italiano sandwich - crispy roll. Steak taco very good. Pierogi's with bacon..

This was our first time coming here for my boyfriends 60th Birthday. We were a party of 4 and selected indoor dining. First off our waitress Kim, was funny, kind, and patient with us, and the service she gave was spot on which elevated our dining experience. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had beef short rib in a wine demiglaze with parpadelle pasta, the shrimp piccata over pasta, the salmon and the chicken fingers with delicious steak fries. For appetizer the spinach artichoke dip with the best pita slices, and the perogis. Everything was hot when served, which I am not used to when going to chain restaurants. The salads that came with our dishes were fresh as well. We loved everything! The drinks were great, service was great and the atmosphere was great. Flat screen tvs, sports channels, and a bar atmosphere without being too rowdy. We will be back and will recommend this restaurant! Pictures shown were after we started digging in. Tldr: paid alot of money to get food poisoning and a disappointing drink. Normally based off the quality of food and service I would jave given the place around 3 stars, but I am still dealing with the aftermath of eating here. Lets start off with my cocktail, I got a peppermint espresso martini. It was disappointing to put it nicely. It was like a yoohoo mixed with a small splash of espresso liquor served with ice cubes in the glass, with a candy cane as a garnish. As a fan of espresso martinis I gave it a shot when I saw it on the holiday drink menu, thinking it might be a good holiday drink to start off my holiday vacation from work, it was just disappointing, not sure if I could call it a drink, but definitely sure it was not a martini. Now normally I would have just taken this as a loss a bad drink isn't the end of the world, but it got worse. For food I ordered the chili dogs. The taste wasn't bad but it was not good either, it tasted like a greasy hotdogs with day old chili in a soggy bun. Which for almost $20 I would expect something a bit better, but it is what it is. It did come with some fries which were fresh and good. I wouldn't complain about it normally aside from the poor price/value ratio of the food. But I did get food poisoning from it after getting home, which is why I am giving only 1 star. It has been three hours since I got home from the place and am still feeling sick. I do not think I will be trying this place again after paying so much money just to get sick.

Went on a Sunday afternoon to watch some NFL Playoff football. Bartenders were fast/friendly, drinks were cold/served perfect, and food was good. There are TV's everywhere, so there really isn't a bad seat. Great atmosphere, friendly crowd, with a sports bar look and feel. Plenty of parking and bathrooms are spotless. When in town again, we will definitely stop in.

I gave for Brunswick Grove 3 stars for several reasons. • When I entered Brunswick Grove I noticed an unpleasant odor reminiscent of old rotting wood. • Short Rib Ragout was too salty. • The steak that my sister ordered was difficult to chew.

I have been visiting this place since the last 4 years and it has really been comforting and always felt at home. However, today, the behavior of the server was so rude that the word ‘rude’ was challenged. She made us feel so bad - as if she was doing us a favor by serving us. This was the last day in this place although we have always loved this place.

Great spot for "Dinner for Two" Hubby and I enjoyed our meal. Barring a minor snafu with Split pea soup that was mistaken for Lentil soup, our meal was great! The service was great from the moment we entered til the minute we left. Pam was awesome! My Denver Burger was PERFECT! 😋 The Jumbo Pretzel was no Arooga's Pretzel, but it was good. We'll be back for a 2nd visit! 👍
