This is a very pleasant place to spend the night. The beds are comfortable and the location is very quiet, even though it's only a couple of minutes by car to downtown. Some rooms have a grand view of the lake, some face the quaint back garden, while yet others overlook the gravel parking lot with its adjoining wildflowers. In all cases you have plenty of fresh air and can look forward to a good breakfast (unfortunately without pastries or sweets). Many of the rooms are old-fashioned and the floors creak, but I prefer that to most modern hotels. The lobby area is charming and interesting. Don't miss having dinner in the wonderful restaurant (reviewed separately)!
