The hotel has an excellent location, comfortable rooms, and very good food. We especially enjoyed the cruise experience, and the service provided by Jasmine was really good — attentive and warm, which made us feel well taken care of. That said, there are areas that could be improved. We arrived early in the morning with two kids, and it was raining heavily. Instead of trying to assist us with an early check-in or offering a temporary solution, we were asked to return at 2 pm for the standard check-in. This made the start of our trip quite challenging. A little empathy and flexibility from the staff would have made a big difference. The high tea was enjoyable, though it could have more variety. It would also be helpful to ensure that vegetarian options are clearly available, and that non-vegetarian dishes are either labelled or explained to guests. As a coffee lover, I was hoping for traditional filter coffee, but only espresso was served, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the hotel itself is wonderful with great food and facilities. With a bit more care from the staff and attention to these details, the guest experience could be truly exceptional.

Brunton Boatyard evokes a bygone era with incredible hospitality. The rooms are immaculately clean and spacious - and the location is perfect to explore Kochi. Everything we tried at breakfast and dinners were wonderful - and we were a group including a slightly picky teenager - make sure you try many wonderful items at History. Yes, you do hear the ferry - but that's when you're outside. The windows in the rooms work to insulate from sound. The ferry does mean that everyone knows where the hotel is when you want to take a TukTuk back to the hotel. The hotel also has an afternoon tea, an afternoon cruise (weather permitting) etc. which you only find out about once you are there.||The one pain point is reserving the room and getting responses from CHG Earth's central team. They are SLOW - 4-7 days to respond and never completely - this was even to set up room payment. I tried to set up cars to meet us at the airport and then take us from this hotel to another CGH hotel - and crickets. I ended up finding contact information for Brunton Boatyard - and our airport pickups were set up. And then the Brunton team organized the next car too because CGH Earth did not.

We recently returned to Brunton Boatyard for an eight-day stay after a wonderful visit previously, and if anything, the experience has only improved. The property remains an oasis in Fort Kochi—peaceful and secluded, yet just steps away from the vibrant history and bustle of the neighborhood. The hotel beautifully balances heritage and modern comfort: its colonial charm has been lovingly preserved while offering every convenience a guest could need. Service is truly exceptional—attentive and delivered by staff for whom nothing is ever too much trouble. Dining is another highlight, with excellent options throughout the day and a very good breakfast. The complimentary sunset cruise aboard the hotel’s boat is an added bonus providing the perfect way to experience the backwater. Our congratulations to the General Manager and the team for maintaining such high standards in this five-star property. Brunton Boatyard is a gem, and we look forward to returning once again.

The harbor views, spacious heritage-style rooms, and warm, attentive staff made our stay unforgettable. Dining was exceptional, especially the seafood grill and local Kerala dishes. This place has such a good ambiance. The time I visited this amazing hotel, I had a fear of pools. But, the second I got into the green pool, my fears died. The food was amazing. The service was amazing and kind. The room was luxurious. We visited The Brunton Boatyard because was my parents' wedding anniversary that day. The staff were kind enough to arrange a swan blanket, flower petals and a cake. So overall, this place is a must visit.

We recently enjoyed a delightful staycation at the Burnton Boatyard in Fort Kochi, a property that exudes colonial charm and understated luxury. Check-in was seamless, and we were soon welcomed into our exquisitely appointed room. The majestic poster bed and meticulously maintained period furniture added a touch of historic grandeur, creating an ambience that felt like stepping back in time.||Evenings at Burnton Boatyard are particularly memorable. We were treated to an English-style high tea, followed by a complimentary 45-minute boat ride along the harbour. This tranquil cruise offered a close-up view of Kochi’s vibrant maritime life and set the tone for a relaxed, immersive experience.||Dinner at The History Fine Dining was a highlight. The expansive dining hall—with its old-world elegance and subtle grandeur—was the perfect setting. The attentive staff went above and beyond in explaining the intricacies of the menu, making the meal both informative and indulgent.||Breakfast the next morning at The Armoury Café was refreshingly different from the usual buffet setups. A charming trolley laden with a variety of breads was wheeled to our table, and we appreciated the made-to-order service. The selection ranged from local delicacies to international favorites, all served promptly. Special mention to the chefs for the lovely, flaky pastries—easily a standout.||Do note: the outdoor areas can attract mosquitoes, so some repellent might be handy. Also, the occasional sounds from nearby ro-ro ferries are part of the working harbour's character.||All in all, Burnton Boatyard is a splendid blend of heritage charm, thoughtful hospitality, and culinary finesse—well worth a visit.

Absolutely superb hotel from all points of view. Unbeatable location, proximity to Ferry & the famous Water Metro. The suites as well as the normal room are excellent - the suite is pure indulgence. Service is fantastic with very helpful and attentive staff. Great breakfast and the staff at breakfast place ARMOURY deserve special mention for courtesy and efficiency. Great for small children. The sunset cruise is not to be missed. Many points of interest are walkable and TukTuks freely available if not inclined to walk. All round great experience esp in the monsoon

Great place for a break amidst your busy schedule. Wonderful ambience, tasty food along with the complimentary sunset cruise made a memorable experience for the entire family.Only suggestion I recommend is the need for instant tea and coffee powder and sachet to make a cup of bed tea or coffee to be made easy.. Would definitely recommend,as well as think of going back again and we were infact surprised to see lot of vegetarian options for pure vegetarians like us. Moreover the staff were really friendly and helpful ..
