This was a quaint little cafe. The food was well flavored and the atmosphere was what we expected, but there were some issues:
There was a leak of healthier options, so my wife felt like she had to settle for the lesser of evils in picking her dish.
I had the sirloin, but it was thinly cut and not evenly cooked (I ordered medium well, but the one end was well done and the extreme other end was medium. Plus, there was a decent amount of gristle that wasn't trimmed of before cooking. I took a picture of how much gristle was inedible.
To top it off, our server was kind but once she delivered our drinks came by only once and refilled my wife's tea. My glass was empty by the time my food came but I was not offered a refill and she never came by the table again. We even told her as we say down that it was our anniversary and we would have dessert but she didn't even cube back to offer is dessert. Overall the service was good enough to keep her to but not good enough to make me give than 15% to make up for the fact they get screwed with crappy pay below minimum wage.
While I'd consider eating here again, I'd temper my redirections next time now that know what to expect.
