This is a long park along the Intracoastal. I mostly go to the playground at the very South end. Love a waterfront playground! Such a nice breeze.
I love looking at the water while my kids play, and the palm trees against the water is a lovely sight. My kids like to chase squirrels in the grassy areas, try to climb a couple trees, swing on the swingsets, climb on the spider climbing thing, and daredevil on the playground equipment. Most of the equipment is too young for my kids, but they still make it fun. There are usually a lot of kids here, since it is so walkable and downtown. The playground equiptment is bound by a concrete walking circle, where kids speed by on scooters or parents can walk for exercise while watching their kids.
There are some downsides: I prefer not to use the bathrooms here unless completely necessary. This is a park for all so there are lots of adults hanging out there, so lots of supervision needed for safety of children. There is a lot of trash on the ground and gross things sometimes inside the playground equipment, since a couple of pieces are ideal for sleeping in, so beware. I don't let my kids use the seesaw, as it is super jarring on a really sensitive part of the body and my kids left crying after their first experience with it.
but all in all, I still love this playground the best due to its Lake Worth-ness, the beauty of the location and water, the possibility for further adventure due to the next parts of the park to the north (mangroves, a dock and pavilion on the water, a little sandy Intracoastal access area, grassy areas where people play soccer and walk dogs, fitness equipment, benches, seawalls to look over, boat ramp, the amphitheater, and the park along the main part of downtown).
For parents with littles, this playground is not fenced, and of course it is along the water, but it is set back fairly far back from the road and the road it is adjacent to kind of dead ends, so it is pretty slow moving.
