Bryggen is one of the most iconic and atmospheric places in Norway. The colorful wooden buildings of the former Hanseatic district create a unique view and transport visitors back to the days of medieval trade. Walking through the narrow passages between the buildings allows you to truly feel the authentic history of the city, while numerous small shops, galleries, and cafés bring the area to life.
It is an ideal place both for a relaxing walk and for taking photos—especially in good weather. Bryggen can be quite crowded during the tourist season, but it is absolutely worth visiting. It is a must-see spot on any trip to Bergen and a perfect combination of history, culture, and unique atmosphere 😇
