We stayed here recently with our dog and really appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly. The reception staff were welcoming, and the garden service was friendly — we enjoyed having fries and a beer outside.
Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet expectations for the price category. Cleanliness was lacking: on arrival there were breadcrumbs in the room, and the lounge cushion was dusty. The room was never properly cleaned during our stay — only the wet bath rug was replaced and the bin emptied. The bathroom floor mat quickly became soaking wet due to water leaking from the shower.
The facilities were disappointing for this price range: no minibar or fridge in the room to cool down some water, no mugs and no kettle or coffee maker. The shared coffee machine and fridge on the floor were messy and they only had paper cups and the fridge contained only sweet soft drinks, no water (only on the first day).
Noise was an issue, especially from the inner garden in the evenings and from other rooms at night. The bed quality was very poor: the slatted frame had been collapsed (we had to rearrange the wooden parts), the mattress offered little support, and we slept badly as a result. (Ironically the hotel advertises a “pillow menu” while failing to provide proper beds.)
In short: friendly staff and dog-friendly atmosphere, but major improvements are needed in cleanliness, facilities, and comfort.
