My stay at the Bryggen Guldsmeden Hotel was a mix of very positive experiences and one notable drawback.
First, the positive aspects. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, which is always the most important thing for me. The hotel's pools were also fantastic—nice and warm, perfect for a relaxing dip after a day of exploring. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay.
The only real issue for me was the hotel's location. While it wasn't a dealbreaker, it's not the most convenient spot for getting to the city's main attractions. If you're looking for a hotel right in the middle of all the action, this might not be the best fit. However you can take the metro to the city center. The metro station is 5 minutes walk.
Overall, if you prioritize cleanliness, great amenities, and outstanding service over a central location, I would highly recommend the Bryggen Guldsmeden Hotel.
