9 Best New Hotels in Copenhagen, Denmark - AFAR

"The latest property from a sustainability-focused Danish hotel group, situated near Islands Brygge metro and the harborfront; the 212-room hotel pairs a Nordic-meets-Bali aesthetic with eco-conscious operations such as recycled linens and highly water-efficient showers, and it features an on-site pool and an organic restaurant. Its location places guests within easy reach of popular swimming spots and the Michelin-starred restaurant Alouette." - Lyndsey Matthews

We visited Copenhagen for 3 nights first weekend in Jan for my birthday, and loved Bryggen Guldsmeden. The hotel was warm and cosy in the snowy weather. The room was beautifully decorated, and we loved the shower especiallu and eco toiletries provided. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant the first night and had a delicious meal. The spa and outdoor pool were very relaxing and warm in the snow. The pool could be a little warmer to be truthful if that would be possible. We'll looking at booking another Guldsmeden again soon.

We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. I got a package that included breakfast and the spa. Our check in was a bit complicated & I don't know why as I booked directly on the hotel website & had a confirmation number . The reception wasn't able to find my booking but gave me the room at the price I booked it for, which was wonderful & gave us a complimentary drink! Breakfast is delicious with homemade yougurt, eggs, bacon, cheeses & even mimosa available buffet style. Our room was cute with a eco rain shower which was nice. The sauna was dual steam room & a dry one & I didn't use the pool but there were some others swimming. We ate 2 dinners there & the service & food was 5 star. The staff is friendly & welcoming and speak English so no worries there. It's convinent location to the metro - and via the metro a few minutes to the airport or town. I really loved this place as every detail was thoughtful, including snacks on every floor & slippers you can take home! Really enjoyable, convenient & well priced & the coffee was good too! Book directly with the hotel or eco hotel for the best price!

What a fantastic hotel! The lobby is so comfy and inviting. We had such a great experience with the staff, who are very friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. We were lucky enough to meet a manager named Nils! He was such a down-to-Earth guy and gave us some good places to go see and tips about the area. He spent a lot of time with us talking and it made us feel so welcome in Denmark! The hotel room was a comfy two bedroom. We were on the sixth floor with the angled roof—next time we’ll get the room that has a livingroom. But beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. The metro station is walking distance as well as a 7-11 and Netto grocery store. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stunning hotel with some of the best amenities I’ve experienced. Between the heated pool, cold plunge, sauna, steam room, outdoor courtyard space, beautiful gym, lobby, etc., it is 10/10. The room was amazing too. Comfortable bed, amazing perch to lounge by the window and overlook the city. It’s close enough to walk everywhere you want as a tourist, yet situated in a quiet part of town for more calm and tranquility. This will be the only place I stay in CPH if / when I return.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, really welcoming and fun. It was my birthday and they treated me like a queen, the food for dinner was great - a simple but really well executed menu - and my room-service breakfast was amazing too. The sauna could do with being turned on a little earlier so those adults wanting to go in before work etc can have a bit more than a 'warm room' :)

We’ve stayed here for almost one week during our trip in Copenhagen. My favorite place was the gym (very very beautiful). The rooms are very beautiful. You’re saving the water of your shower while you’re showering (maybe need to remove a bit the limescale in the shower). You can take a drink outside inside a plastic igloo. The swimming pool and the sauna are maybe the only down because it’s quite small and busy and no flipflops and no towels there.

Excellent boutique style hotel with great rooms and a wonderful lobby, restaurant and spa facilities. Also has the best hotel gym I've ever seen, which we didn't use but would have if we stayed longer. Overall experience was great, and would return. Minor things to mention, the shower setup and modern eco self cleaning shower is good but not great pressure. Breakfast was excellent, but was disappointed to have to pay for a latte or batista style coffee as only filter on offer as part of breakfast. Seems pretty picky and I'd expect more for my £££. Location is good, but you're a tiny way out of the centre (no big deal really, walking is 20 mins or metro 5mins away and a couple of stops 😉)

Gorgeous hotel with quirky decor. It was really clean and well kept, every single one of the staff from the bar or reception were super friendly and helpful. The room has great facilities, only bug bare was that due to the tall frame of the bed it was really squeaky, every time you moved or rolled over or anything it made noise but it made the room look lovely haha! |You could easily walk to popular spots like Nyhavn or Tivoli in 30minutes but was a metro nearby if you don’t fancy the walk. Would recommend and would definitely return!
