Hello! Me and my friend had a stay here for the night and I’m really glad it was just one. The rooms seemed alright at first, however on the balcony we seemed to have interrupted a family of cockroaches - there were A LOT of them, and 2 even got the privilege to get inside of the room, fact of which made us extremely terrified of the possibility of being more in the room. Honestly, I’ve seen a lot of comments regarding this issue and I can’t understand why you can’t do anything about it. I definitely do not want to stay here again

Check in is automatic, no staff to welcome you. However a cockroach welcomed me on the curtains of the room! It seems to be a repeatung issue, when I read the comments. I could not take a shower: joints on the floor's tiles were so dirty.... I wont return and don t recomlend it at all!

The self checkin machine worked well for me and checkin was fast. The room I was staying in was fine for one night and seemed clean. The bathroom was a bit old and could use a renovation but water pressure etc. was fine. The hotel is located next to the train station which was very convenient for me. During my stay. I did not have any troubles with the noise as described in other reviews.

Great central location but very noisy with the trams and trains and neighbours all night long. Very hot and no air con, there is a small fan but didn’t cool anything down so had to have windows wide open. Lots of cockroach type bugs in the single room bathroom. The toiletries and other facilities in the room were good and the free coffee machine in reception is also good.

A self-check in machine was good as I arrived quite late. Room was clean and good enough for one night. A Basel card was left on the desk in my room which was good, I used it to travel to the airport next morning. Lots of noises in the morning when delivery trucks unloading for the shops but being opposite to Basel SBB was very convenient.

affordable, easy last minute housing (24/7 check-in) and very comfortable and modern rooms, situated less than 100m from the train station. Perfect when German trains are on strike!

The room was good and the location excellent ! But when we woke up in the morning and went downstairs to make some coffee the machine didnt work! As well as the evening before we tried to have some coffee but didnt work! 👎👎👎

If you need a nice quiet comfortable room just across from the main railway station, then this is a place worth considering. They make a selling point of the automated check-in and it works very well, if you just follow the instructions. I had pre-booked which might have made things easier. My room was clean comfortable and the shower and wi-fi worked well. It is what you would expect for a 2 or 3 star hotel. The lift has two doors, the plastic card to get in and out worked well, once I had got a hand on how to swipe it. Breakfast options are what you might expect and the quality is good, but it is all self-service and remember to look in the cupboards below eye-level for jam, butter, cheese eggs etc. Any grumbles? Well the floor of my shower could do with re-surfacing. Most of the British TV channels weren't working, but BBC World and CNN were. (I was following the Brexit votes in parliament at the time.) In the morning you can hear a few gurgles from the plumbing as people get up and have a shower, etc. The bus to and from the airport is just in front of the station, so for those like me with an early/late flight it is ideal (Cost 6.10 CH Frs.) Overall it is unremarkable, but of a good standard if you are just staying for a few nights.
