BTW - BURGERS TACOS WAFFLES

The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff are all amazing here! We came back everyday we were in town to try different food and drinks. Everything here is made from scratch and well worth the wait. The best chicken and waffles we ever had! The employees and super friendly and take pride in their work. I definitely recommend this place and will come back!

If I could give more stars I would. The food was awesome. Well prepared and taste so delicious and the people there were awesome. They had a sense of humor and the atmosphere. If you like quiet and peaceful, then you should go. There. Family friendly too.

First time visiting here, what a great way to break up a day at the courthouse! Trina at the counter was very helpful with navigating the menu. Food came out within 15 minutes, hot and steamy! The flavors on their version of the smash burger was absolutely fantastic. Savory and balanced! UPGRADE to the truffle fries with the aioli! 10/10 can't wait to bring my family!

Really sweet place in downtown Tavares. The Brussels sprouts were good, and the tacos were really tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was totally fine. My one gripe is that they served their food with plastic utensils - totally seemed out of line with the whole vibe. Isn’t not really a total deal breaker but certainly reduces the pleasure of eating their food.

This place was quite remarkable. After three stops at different establishments, looking for a meal in Tavaras, we stumbled onto this place. And I'm so glad we did. The Christmas decorations were fantastic. There wasn't a spot that didn't have something Christmas on it. The food was excellent. We had tacos and hot chocolate, and the guys had burgers and fries. It was a great way to spend some time after leaving Mt Dora behind, which was overcrowed.and parking was non-existent. We will be going back.

Had an American Burger and Turkey Burger with tots and waffle fries. The turkey burger was okay. It had flavor and the texture was good but it seemed to be more steamed as opposed to fried on the griddle or something. The bun was good and the tots were not too greasy. The burger had great flavor and texture. It was cooked to about medium which I like. The vegetables were fresh and the bun was nice. It was a busy night so the food took around half an hour or so to get. The burger was warm but the fries were a bit cold. The restaurant was pretty clean even with all the foot traffic. Even the bathroom was pretty clean. Food was a bit pricey for what you got. FYI, about an hour later I did get a little upset stomach. This is why my food review is what it is.

Service was awesome and the food was really good! I got the taco trio and got the WTF (what the fish), Korean taco, and another one that had pork with avo-like cilantro dressing. The ingredients tasted fresh and the tacos were pretty big, packed with flavor. I also tried the corn on the cob and they were absolutely delicious. I'd def come back and try more stuff.

WILL was absolutely fantastic!!! He was so pleasant & sweet to all of us. Food was great! Only downside I have was the lady taking out order & stressing about an up charge on my son changing his whipped cream because he didn’t like the first one.. They asked for it back, since they didn’t charge but they would’ve just thrown it away.. Other than that we really enjoyed the food and Will!

Just needed to grab lunch before a meeting and saw this place. Cute little place with a view of the lake. It is a counter service restaurant and they bring the food out after you order. They have a decent selection on the menu. I opted for a burger and it did not disappoint. The burger was cooked to perfection. Juicy and seasoned perfect. Absolutely one of the best burgers I have ever had. It is a little pricey but in my opinion definitely worth it.

First time visiting BTW and I can't wait to go back! First off, the decor and vibes of the place is super cute! We ordered our meal from Wondrous Will and he was fantastic! The menu is very extensive with many delicious combinations of flavors and funny quirky names. I had the taco duo (trailer park & barbacoa pork), my bf had the mutha clucka churger. The others in our group had a variety of burgers and tenders. The star of the show was the street corn!! So yummy! The sodas were glass bottles which always taste better than from a can. Even the bathroom was cute filled with quiet signs on the walls. Would definitely recommend BTW!

Great food! Study the menu prior to your arrival. It was a bit confusing to me! By the time I did a build your own burger with a beer and side of mac and cheese the bill was over $35.00. Not their fault, just way more than I expected for a bacon cheeseburger with a side of mac and cheese. Service was great!

This is my first time to Tavares and we are glad we chose BTW for lunch. Service we great. You order inside and the food is brought to you. Multiple servers came by to fill up drinks and check on us. I got the poutine burgers. It was huge! The poutine had great beef flavor and was not over-salted. The street corn was packed with sauce and cheese! The southern burger was juicy and packed with cheese pimento cheese. I also got the sangria on tap and it was delicious. We sat outside and you can watch the boats on the water. It was a really lovely experience.

Epic dinner and the style and decorations are a must to be seen. Very cool waitress and she kept bust bringing food and drink. Appetizers and mains were all outstanding. Drinks served in cool mugs or IV type bags, never seen before, but awesome! Highly recommended!

Don't sleep on BTW - this place's food, service and atmosphere is all 5 stars! Trina was the main waitress we saw and each time she interacted she was so exceptional and kind! The chicken and waffles (winner winner) were so good and flavorful - the chicken perfectly seasoned with the right amount of crunch but not too much breading. The banana nut waffles reminded you of the flavors of banana bread - super good! The mission impossible burger was recommended by Trina and I got it with a regular beef patty - full of flavor, very well seasoned, and the mushrooms were marinaded with balsamic vinaigrette which really enchanted the burger further. I can't wait to come back and bring others here, it was really a great place to eat!

I have never had the waffles, but burgers and tacos in the same place - yes, please. And there's amazing craft beer next door, you say? I'm in. Over the years, we have been here lots - it is our place to go with friends visiting because it's easy to grab decent food, a beer, and catch up. I will say - it is not as good as it was when it opened - but that tends to happen. I think the burgers are not as good - not as carefully prepared, and things got a bit sloppy. And - for the price - those things should remain consistent. But, overall it is still a good quick bite. Having tried most all of the burgers, I prefer the Canadian-Eh. The Korean BBQ Pork taco is probably the best taco. Vegetarian options in both burgers and tacos, too! The tacos are big - the burgers are messy - the beer next door is one of the best craft beer menus in the area. You can even have your food sent over to Bru, which we almost always do. The burgers and tacos are unique, and have not changed much over the years. You can easily drop $50-$60 at an "Order Here" counter place though, so it's more of a special occasion casual night out place for us than somewhere we go all the time.

Amazing craft cocktails, delicious unique food menu and great service from the bartender who was on yesterday. The fried ramen appetizer was unlike anything we have ever had before. Went with my husband and another couple. We really can't say enough good things about this place. A chill vibe that should be experienced by all. We will be back for sure.

I've been here four times in the last few years and every time it's been absolutely phenomenal. One of my favorite places in the greater Orlando area - we always stop here on our way back from visiting the natural springs up North. You really can't go wrong with the menu - it's fun, playful, unique, and has a ton of flavor! I think the tacos are my favorite thing I've tried. I've tried the trailer trash, the buffalo chicken, and the barbacoa. The tacos are HUGE and I love the three taco option where you can try different flavors. The buffalo chicken and the barbacoa are the best imo, especially the barbacoa! It's spicy and delicious. Today I got the current special, the caprese clucker - a chicken sandwich with mozzarella, tomato, an aioli, and basil. It was delightful, and the chicken was huge! I also got a side of truffle fries with truffle aioli which might just be my favorite thing I've ordered here. I can't wait to come back and get them again!

What a fun little place! It is currently decorated for Halloween. Sparkling clean and inviting. Staff met us at the door and told us about the tap room and the cocktail bar next door. Food was hot and amazing. I had the Mac shack burger with waffle fries, so yummy. Huge portions ended up taking half home. My dining partner had a BYOB and said it was excellent. He enjoyed the tater tots! Have to go back soon to try the ramen fries!

Today I went here, just a burger day for me. I love their burgers becI can get my rear burger. Had the 88 burger because the bacon jam. It's OMG. A rear burger with the jam hit me and had to have it. I most definitely not disappointed. Best of all I would recommend this one to everyone. With that said, some trips here is just so hard to pick from. So many great items to pick from. What a great problem to have. Come on and try this great jewel in Tavares.

Okay soooooo my first visit was not the greatest. Ill be honest. I ordered the kick'n bitty fry basket. I waited almost 30-40 min just to get my food, even a table of 5 got their food before me and it was only me and one other person and they ordered the same thing as us. When the food did arrive it was cold as ever, I discussed with the manager or owner and his excuse was because they put ranch dressing on top of it and it cooled it down. Which I do not think ranch changes the internal temp of the chicken which I know it doesn't lol. But I decided to give it another go and I ordered the waffle fries and the beef short rib gravy and let me tell you THAT was amazing. I will be back for that again!

This establishment is very tricky, we went to BTW for the 1st time, we chose to sit outside it was a beautiful afternoon. I went in the left side, to order a 7 & 7 for my wife & a Corona w/lime for me. And then l went to the right side and was met by Megan/Megatron took my order (1) Twisted Pretzel & (1) Beer Cheese Fries, they gave you a number & delivered your order to your table. The food was hot & tasty. The service from Megatron & Jaelyn was 10 of 10, we could tell how special BTW was, both sides were eager to assist us , on the left side Marissa H was also very helpful & so was the bartender!!! We were in Tavares for the Water Ski Show which was awesome. We will definitely return to our favorite Tavares restaurant.

BTW is now known as Miracle incorporating the attached cafe to the restaurant. The server made it sound like a big deal. Good burgers with several customizations available. I've also had their tacos in the past which are very good.

This place has great food and very friendly service. You order at the counter and get a number and they bring you your food. Got pretty busy during lunch time, but service was fast and food was delish!

Everything was fabulous. This was our second time here but definitely not our last. Great service, nice atmosphere and an imaginative menu with something for everyone. Recommend!

Out Antiquing found this place down town... clean fun atmosphere with a good size menu with some unique plates. They are actually pretty busy for mid afternoon which was a good sign. I got the veggie burger (but traded it out for MEAT) because it all looked good except the veggie part . Salad was fresh and tasty along with the tater tots. We also tried the ramen sticks which were different but good but still up in the air if I would reorder them. Overall, great little place to check out if you are in the area.

Everything about this place was 5 star! The food was amazing! Staff was fun and polite! There were options for everyone. Ambiance was great!

The food here is excellent! Service was good. We got our food in about 20 minutes after ordering. We went for lunch on a Saturday. Tacos were really good. Buffalo chicken fries were really good too, we will be back to try more l!

Drinks were amazing! Pistachio coquito was so good! Ordered buffalo chicken taco ... chicken was so hard for me to chew. Very hard and dry. Do not order! Such a waste of my money. Cheese curds were the best. Loved ranch sauce.

Such a cool cafe! I love the quaint and quirky decor. They have every sweet coffee item imaginable. Dessert for dinner is the way to go at BTW. Their waffle selection is to die for. My fave was the one that tasted like banana fosters! If you don't want sweets, their trailer park tacos are awesome! We tried the mushroom & onion taco too. Yum!! I'd get that one each time. They also have an assortment of cocktails served in a bag with a straw (in case you want it to go. ) Service was nice however I think BTW could use at least one more server. Enjoyed talking to the manager though. Very friendly.

Service was great. Food was really good. Atmosphere was nice. I hate eating in the dark and this place was well lit and comfortable. They have outside dining if you would like. Even a festival in the fall for their brewery and restaurant. Great date night trying a new place :)

Well wanted deep fried Oreos and was able to have these delivered 20 minutes away and they were still warm and delicious amazing

Service was great. While you order at the counter, your food is still brought to your table when ready and wait staff check on you frequently. All the staff were super friendly. It was a beautiful day, so we enjoyed the outdoor seating. My wife and I both had tacos, and our daughter had chicken and waffles. We both really liked the "trailer park" taco. The "what the fish" was good, but the fish was a bit bland. The "barbacoa pork" had a twang we were not expecting. My daughter's waffle was good, but her chicken was VERY tough. It's odd, because the chicken in our trailer park taco was very tender. Will definitely go here again and try some more menu items.

Food was amazing and service was very attentive! Definitely recommend eating here, can't wait to go back! I had the Holy Mackerel Sandwich and my two friends had the Winner Winner Waffles.

One of my favorite places to eat in Tavares!! Always fresh and flavorful! The food combinations are so different than what you can find anywhere else! Absolutely delicious!

Peaches was the absolute best her recommendations for entrees were on point, and her customer service was phenomenal. She set an a standard that was unparalleled, and she truly made us feel like she cared for our experience instead of just being a waitress.

Food is fresh! Service is fast and polite. Highly recommend. A little pricy, but what isn't these days. Overall, great experience!

I love this place! The food is always good. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the food does take a while to come out. If you would like an appetizer, you need to order and then wait a while to put in your entree order. If you order all at once, they do not differentiate appetizers, entrees or dessert. You can't go wrong with anything you order!

It wasn't bad, but it was good for what it was. The food was hot. People were nice. Place was ok.

My kids and I went to BTW last night after the Boo festival downtown Tavares. We were hungry and was craving tacos. I'd always wanted to try BTW so seemed like the perfect idea. We sat outside and was provided menus. The ambiance was really nice and the service was excellent. I ordered the $6 Fish tacos and my kids ordered the $5 beef/chorizo taco. Price is based on a single taco, you have the option to have two or three tacos. 1 of my kids who ordered her taco plain, enjoyed her taco. My other daughter and myself did not enjoy our tacos. I hate to say this, it looked better than it taste as a taco. My tacos were full of purple cabbage and at the very bottom was a "small" fish tender. I took a couple of pieces off the fish to taste it separately, and the flavor wasn't bad had a little kick to it which I don't mind. But overall, it wasn't what I expected. Would I not suggest this establishment based on 1 taco? No! I believe they may have better options there because they have a full menu of burgers also a vegan burger option, and waffles. The tacos were just a miss for my family and myself. I would still recommend BTW, but I wouldn't recommend the tacos.

BTW (Burgers, Tacos, Waffles) is located on Main Street in Tavares, FL, across from Wooton Park. The restaurant is somewhat new and stands out amongst other buildings in the immediate area; you really cannot miss it. The restaurant emits an artsy/industrial vibe using stained concrete floors, exposed ductwork/electrical conduit, Edison-style light bulbs, stiff metal chairs, and lightly whitewashed wooden tables. BTW uses a counter-service concept where the customer places their order at the register, then restaurant staff delivers food, drinks, and condiments. Lines can form quickly, so I highly recommend looking over their menu on Yelp, Google, or BTW's website, before arriving to help speed up the ordering process. As a customer, I am willing to spend a little more money on quality products. I am happy to see that BTW's Angus beef burgers are made with a combination of chuck, brisket, and short rib, and the Stubborn sodas are made with natural flavors and without HFCS, artificial sweeteners, and Azo Dyes. Today I ordered the BFD (Breakfast for Dinner) Burger ($15.95). The burger is served on a waffle bun and topped with smashed tater tots, an over-medium egg, cheddar cheese, maple bacon, and drizzled sriracha honey aioli. I chose honey mustard slaw as my side and paired my meal with a Stubborn Root Beer fountain soda ($2.80 with free refills). Our server brought out our drinks immediately, and our food was delivered 10-minutes or so later. I was impressed with the initial look of breakfast-for-dinner-stack, but after diving in, I had difficulty holding it all together, especially after adding syrup. About ¼ of the way through my meal, I decided it would be best to finish with a fork and knife. All-in-all, the food was delicious, even the coleslaw; however, I would not recommend ordering this burger if you are on a date, LOL. BTW also houses a café in the west end of the building geared toward espresso, crafted coffees, soda, and snacks. I stopped in and ordered a 12oz Americano ($2.95) before hitting the road. My coffee was freshly ground, brewed to order, and served in a porcelain cup. My coffee was hot, flavorful, and strong, the way I like it. I'm not crazy about spending $2.95 for a 12oz Americano, but I would do it again If I was at BTW. My only complaint is that the furniture is a bit too industrial and is almost impossible to get comfortable on. For that reason, I do not see customers staying for long periods to drink wine or beer later into the evening. Regardless, I highly recommend stopping in for lunch, dinner, or to enjoy any one of their freshly brewed coffees.

This place is very very good and very very bad for a diet. It's in the tagline. Go here any time you're really hungry, really sad, really happy, or want to hang out and indulge in deliciousness!

Place you want to give 4.5 stars. Maybe 5!!! You know a good burger place when the burgers are fresh. Nothing frozen here! Must try are the sauces! All home made and great drink offering!!! Who would have thought Tavares had a great food scene!!!

Good food. Awesome Christmas decor. Service? Waitress unsure what drinks went in what Christmas cups. Then a guy comes out he says can not alter drinks - I have tree nut allergies. Drove 1 1/2 hours to experience Christmas place. Only wanted to buy and drink out of the specialty cups. Could buy just the cup but couldn't use it. He said it might break WHAT WTH! Very disappointed

The food is amazing. Definitely try the Raman Fries, family favorite here. Burgers are superb! Tacos are delicious. Waffles are outstanding. So many amazing things to eat. We try something new every single time. Don't miss this spot.

OMG! Wow, this place definitely blew me away. I came here with a couple others after a day through the Apopka wildlife trail, and BTW was the top rated place in the area. The menu and food pics on Yelp looked super intriguing so we definitely had to go. They have street parking as well as a private lot to the side, and they're connected to a brewery that I believe is run by the same people. We were greeted immediately and were showed the menus and were told to order at the counter. We took a while to pick what we wanted because everything sounded so good. All together we got poutine waffle fries, the cheeztopia waffle, street corn, a 3 taco plate, the winner winner waffle, and fried oreos. Now when I tell you everything was amazing... The poutine waffle fries could've definitely been a meal in its own. You can clearly taste the stout, and with the shreds of the short rib in the gravy that it's smothered in.. omg. An awesome take on poutine for sure. The cheeztopia waffle was crazzzzy! Atop a waffle made of tater tots, like a huge hash brown, it's like a BBQ dream. Pulled pork, mac n cheese, hot bbq sauce and more of that stout! It's like a big pile of YUM. The street corn was SO good. I asked for it without the cilantro garnish but I was ok with it in the crema. For some reason they didn't add the chili powder dust to make it like a real elote? But I honestly didn't notice until I finished them... they were just that good on its own with the cotija and crema. Im sure the chili powder would've just made it even better. The crema really makes it awesome. I was scooping it up in a spoon to have a lot in every bite. I got the 3 taco plate. From my pic, top right is the WTFish, top right is Trailer Park, and the bottom is the YOLO. The fish taco was definitely my favorite, the blacked mahi mahi was delish and I loved it with the baja sauce. The YOLO was my second fave, I loved the chorizo and beef blend mixed up with the stout and sriracha bbq. It was like a fun spicy meatloaf almost. The mac n cheese on top was a generous portion and gave a soft texture that I loved. The Trailer park was good also, but by the time I got to that taco, I was super full. Winner Winner waffle was like their version of chicken and waffles. The buttermilk waffle was fluffy and soft, and it came with butter to spread on top. The bourbon in the maple bourbon syrup really came through in flavor and was a great touch to the dish. But the REAL star here was that fried chicken breast. OMG. This was seriously the best piece of chicken I've had in so long. Ive only been this impressed by chicken once before and that place is closed now. But omg. The chicken breast was soooo moist and had a great flavor. I was so blown away by how good it is. I live an hour away from here and Id drive here just to eat that piece of chicken again. I dunno if it's normally that good or I got lucky but wow. Just wow. The fried oreos taste exactly as you'd think. They were good and soft and an awesome end to a meal, I just wish it had some chocolate sauce or something for it. So overall.... everything was fantastic. Aside from the food, even the service was great. The girl at the counter taking our order was attentive and the other employees did a great job with drink refills and cleaning up tables. TYSM BTW for the amazing experience.

Here's what I learned about building my own burger at BTW: -The beer cheese sauce is super tasty, but it's also super sloppy. Most of it will end up on the tray. I'll ask for it on the side next time. -You can't go wrong with the caramelized onions. Heavenly! -The meat is in desperate need of salt. Take a small nibble and You'll see what I mean. I added a good amount to my burger. Here's what I learned about the tacos at BTW: -WAY. TOO. MUCH. SAUCE. Seriously, there was a puddle on the tray from just picking up the taco. Definitely order the sauce on the side.

Plenty of beer options. Using the tap app. Loud music , ok tacos. No plates. Food serves in cardboard box that folds flat. In my opinion not worth the money. We tried it once will not go again.

Decided to try BTW for lunch and was not disappointed! The place is clean and staff more then helpful! They explained the menu which can be a lil overwhelming due to everything sounds so good! To start the cheese curds are amazing! Trailer taco was excellent Shroom taco I wanted more Fish taco was great just a little spicy for me Chris had the burger and says good and delicious definitely not disappointed! Absolutely love BTW. Great friendly staff and the food is consistently fantastic. Love their twist on the tacos and the burgers are always great. I love the Ramen Fries appetizer and the truffle fries are delicious. I prefer to sit at the bar and I love the dimmed lights and great selection of liquors. The adult kapri sun's are a must!

I was looking for a craft burger to celebrate National Hamburger Day in the area I was visiting. I used Yelp to find BTW that stood out boldly among the fast food burgers. I could already tell from the Yelp reviews and photos BTW was going to be marvelous. BTW is located in downtown Tavares. When you enter, you order at the counter. BTW stands for burgers, tacos, and waffles, plus fries, tater tots, etc. I chose the Southerner burger because it had me sold on pimento cheese, honey mustard slaw, and BTW's stout and sriracha sauce. I asked for extra BBQ sauce and I thought they would have put it on the side. But a first for me actually happened as they added it to my burger and made it a glorious dream for this sauceaholic. The meat had an excellent grilled taste as it was prepared medium well. The bun was soft and buttered. And the pimento cheese, slaw, and BBQ sauce combined on a burger made it like eating at a BBQ joint on a bun. The burger comes with honey-mustard slaw but you can upgrade to fries, tots, or mac and cheese. I went with the fries because how can you not have fries on National Hamburger Day? The fries are the waffle variety like Chick-fil-a. I added a jalapeño beer cheese dip to dip my fries in. Excellent choice! I also wanted some of the housemade stout and sriracha BBQ sauce to dip my fries in. I was charged 50 cents for it but YOLO! Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! I wish BTW was closer to where I live! I would love to visit BTW again and again on a normal basis. Excellent choice any day besides National Hamburger Day.

AMAZING FOOD!!! BTW has stuff you just can't get anywhere else. All the servers are very friendly, and the food is always incredible. My favorite is the Big Kid Burger.
