This is a pretty nice hotel located just outside the old city of Chiang Mai. There was wood everywhere which gave it an older feel but it was well maintained. They still use physical keys which you have to turn in at the desk when you leave. The elevator is a little odd as it stops between floors and you still have to go up or down a few steps. The breakfast had a good variety and large eating area. No pool.

Budget friendly, value for money hotel just right outside the city moat. Location is at the quieter part of the city which was ideal for me. Room is somewhat old school but it was clean and cozy. Oh yeah, there's a tub in the bathroom.

Disgusting rooms, bugs everywhere, dirt all over walls, holes in ceiling and painted baths peeling really badly, cigarette burns everywhere. Paid more to upgrade and it was not much better. Chinese tourists by the bus load shouting all the time. No customer service at all, very disinterested staff that look too young to work there. This hotel looks nice online from the photos it appears it was great 20 years ago, it hasn't been looked after or updated since. Hated every moment there.

If I could give 0 star, I would... The walls are very thin and you could hear everything from outside your room. One lady at the reception was very rude. For example, they wanted us to pay for a towel because it was too 'dirty' (we went to the elephant sanctuary and we came back with dust on our faces). I really don't care paying 100 THB (3€) but they didn't even try to wash it. They even laughed at our faces when we told them why it may have been dirty and that it was the 1st time that a hotel have asked to pay for this insignificant reason. I washed it by hand and that was it, no more dirt... Unbelievable !! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL !

Some improvements are necesarry for a 3* hotel but I still recommend this hotel. Good thing the room is clean and the bed is not too hard AC in every hotel room. Minor complain since the lobby has no doors there are tiny lizards in the hotel as shown on the pictures. Minor complain the bathrooms celing is not very high. A person with about 1,80 cm height wont ve able to shower while standing. Another thing concerning the shower is the showerheads tube is pretty short. I am 1,74 cm tall and the tube is at its maximum reach. Also the wall mount for the showerhead ist out of date and mounted too low. All in all you are able to shower with some handycaps. Major complain the hotel needs some wifi repeaters. The wifi connection into my room is unstable at 1/2 connectionstrength Addition the breakfast is not that good. Fruit was tasteless. You have less options of food e.g. toast with jam, egg sunny side up, plain rice and 5 asian dishes. Presentation looks poor as the dining place. I highly recommend picking up breakfast from a nearby cafe or street vendor.

The staff is uninterested and hardly speaks any English. We found one sleeping behind the front desk. The breakfast is somewhat ok, that is if you have breakfast early. Later on the choice is smaller then it already was and you may find some flies hanging around. 2 stars because the rooms where clean but definitely need an update, mold in the bathroom and wall sockets have a lot of play.

The building is OK from the outside, but the inner is not good, decorations are old, maybe good for 20 to 30 years before, not now. I got the old style metal key, not some card based system. They don't even have the sewing kit, neither the service, as I asked help for my dropped shirt-button. Breakfast is ordinary, or should say not too bad.

Couldn't find a worse hotel to stay at. This hotel won't clean it's towels when they deem to dirty, some dust on it will do, and ask for money, 100 baht per towel. Ah, also, they only put 3 of 4 towels in my room and ask to pay to have the last one because as they say "you stole one, you pay". I scream scam everywhere.
