Came here for dinner while on a family vacation on a Saturday evening. One of the few places I can eat at as a carnivore (I just give away my sides to my family). Easy to find place with plenty of free parking in the strip mall. I loved the atmosphere and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. I ordered the 4-meat special (sliced beef, sliced pork, ribs, and chicken) which sounded good bc of the variety. However, I was a little disappointed. I think I should’ve tried the pulled pork and chopped brisket instead because the sliced meat had no taste. Just be aware, the meal is already 21.99 and they up-charge for the better meat. The ribs tasted good, but were not the tender, fall-off-the-bone type. Finally, the chicken was just so-so. I’d still recommend this place, but I’d definitely get other types of meat if I go back again.

Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que is hands down one of my favorite BBQ spots! From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that smoky, mouthwatering aroma that lets you know you’re in for something good. The meat is always tender and packed with flavor — whether it’s the ribs, pulled pork, or brisket, it’s all just so good. Their sauces? Next level. And don’t even get me started on the sides — the baked beans and mac & cheese are absolute musts! Make sure to have at least one of your meals here when you’re in Orlando — it’s a hidden gem that saves you from the crowded restaurants and overpriced tourist food around. Bubbalou’s is the real deal. I love it here, and I’ll definitely be back!

This location is the best Bubbalous! Everything was perfectly prepared and my son just loved the ribs! I have to give additional compliments to the staff. They were just delightful and so nice! We were greeted with such helpful kindness by the lovely young woman at the register, she offered suggestions and menu recommendations as if we were neighbors. When our order was ready, the nicest gentleman brought it to us packed perfectly with a level of friendliness that was just worth note. That alone brings people back, so I hope they are appreciated!

The brisket is moist the way I like it. Don't like when is lean. The cashier listen to my request. The pull pork very tasty. Actually don't even need BBQ sauce. I was looking for a local place . No restaurant chain and I found it

We came as a party of 12 and they put several tables together for us to be able to sit together. You order at the counter and then sit down and they bring your food to you when it's ready. Every employee or manager we encountered was super friendly and welcoming. Their service was on point! Our food was delivered promptly and we discovered we were missing one item. We brought it to their attention and it was made right almost immediately. The food was so amazing! I recommend the brisket and pulled pork combo, but everyone in the party had similar comments about what they ordered. Our overall experience was entirely satisfying. This is the kind of experience you want to have when you spend your hard earned money at a restaurant. Anyone can provide a good meal, but when you combine amazing cuisine with superior, fast and friendly service, this is the winning ticket! Highly recommend!!!

I'm baaack!! 😋 Most people know I’m not a huge BBQ fan these days, but when the craving hits, you need something so good it'll make you wanna slap your momma! 😂 Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que did NOT disappoint! This was my first time experiencing Bubbalou’s, and let’s talk about the meats— I had a rib, pulled pork, and a chicken thigh. I added a little sweet sauce for fun, but honestly, it wasn’t even needed. Each meat was cooked to perfection, especially that rib! Sooo tender. My friend had the brisket and said the same — delicious and perfectly cooked. 👌🏾 Now the sides — I tried the potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese, and corn. I’m picky about potato salad, but Bubbalou’s surprised me — super tasty! The baked beans hit, too. The mac & cheese wasn’t bad, just needed a little salt and (my personal preference) more cheese 🤷🏾‍♀️. The corn… meh. It fell a little flat. I like mine sweet, in this moment, a pinch of salt might’ve helped. My friend ordered the collard greens — I tried them and was pleasantly surprised! A little more seasoning would've taken them up a notch, but they were solid. Overall: Everything was tasty, and I’d absolutely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. I’ll definitely be back!

Super friendly staff, super yummy food, and a really amazing atmosphere to enjoy a scrumptious meal. Only thing is the gator bites were so small it should be renamed gator bits.

Generally, I love Bubbalou's. The best is Texas Brisket. Eating the carnivore diet, we eat at Bubbalou's every time we go to Orlando. But I had the spare ribs once that was rather dry. But besides that, good eats. Very casual atmosphere. Great people.

Yelp
Go here everytime we visit orlando. Food is tops. Staff very friendly. We love it. From the McMahon family Ireland

Yelp
When we arrived they gave us menus to review. we ordered a half pound of four meats, pulled pork, pulled chicken, sausage and beef brisket. Then we orders a selection of sides. We placed our order at the counter and we found a table outside. When our selection was ready, they brought it over to us. Every group receives a number we placed on the table so they could find us. Try the killer barbecue sauce. It has a kick to it. They have five different types of barbecue sauce to choose from.m but my favorite has to be the killer. We had plenty of meat to go round. My favorite was the pulled pork. Sharing we had the opportunity to try a selection of meats and sides Whenever I get the urge for barbecue, they are at the top of my list.

Yelp
I was hungry, so I was willing to eat anything. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but food selection is scarce around this Disney property in particular. So I guess I had the chance to try alligator again, and I still couldn't tell the difference. Had tasted more like a gizzard. I miss my potato salad that they use to serve at L2s Texas BBQ over in Las Vegas, there is nothing else that compares. The potato salad at this location wasn't bad nor great. It was a bit tart, so ultimately couldn't get past it. I don't think that there is any place that can serve me up some proper fried pickles. There is always something wrong with them. With these, they were so sour I barely could finish. Overall would not be returning to this location if ever finding myself back in Orlando. All stars deducted.

Yelp
Whelp... the hardest thing about having eaten award winning BBQ is, always comparing it to everything else you try. First off, this places gives a hole-in-the-wall smokehouse with the decor & picnic tables, with indoor & patio seating. They were relatively steady with dine-in & take out. I liked the vibe. Ribs! The ribs are where it's at and I'd come back for them. Probably just the rib sandwich is the ticket. The staff was courteous & efficient. And willing to correct what they could and the manager was friendly, with great conversation about products. I'll include a photo but, keep in mind, I started tearing into the ribs. Here's the downside.... everything else! You'll not in the photo, the pork & beef were sliced as thin as tissue paper. The mac n cheese gave no thrills, collards weren't screamin' southern or soulful. What I ordered was the Bubbalou's special: ribs, chicken, pork, beef & 4 sides. 3 of the sides were about a 3 oz ramekin, one side was maybe 5 or 6 oz. I opted for this because, I prefer to try a little of everything. This plate was $21.99 and really it makes sense after having it. At some of the award winning places, a similar offering would be about $36. Because most spots will likely read this, I'll include my recommendation: get rid of the sliced roast beef, it's a pointless waste of money; it's not even bbq. The pork needs some help: bbq shouldn't be served thinner than sliced cheese. The collards really need work with some soul. An ideal plate would be: ribs, chicken, brisket, pork with 2 reasonable size sides, a slice of bread. If the cuts & flavors were on point, I'd be willing to pay in the $30 range.

Yelp
If you were looking for a sweet delicious southern barbecue in the Orlando area. This would be my number one recommendation. However, I do venture to say that the Conroy Kirkman location is by far the best one so if you're planning on having Bubbalous Bodacious Barbecue, I would head on down to this location! Their baby back ribs, corn on the cob, and all other fixins are delicious!

Yelp
I went with my friends on a Friday evening. It was not crowded at all when we arrived, and we ordered at the counter. I had the quarter chicken sandwich basket, which came with two sides and bread (about 13 dollars). After a couple minutes wait, our food was delivered to our table. The chicken was hot, tender, and juicy. The killer bbq sauce that I added gave the heat I needed. I had potato salad and coleslaw as my sides, and both were delicious. They cooled down the heat from the sauce, which made a perfect balance. The toasted bread was nice as well. I felt that the food was a small step above four rivers. The service was good, friendly, and helpful. While the ordering was counter service, the food was brought to you and they also offered to take it away when you were done. Drinks were brought to you as well. The atmosphere was very casual with only a few booths inside, and maybe some outside as well. I believe beer were the only alcoholic drinks offered. Country music was in the background, but I think they should have Ricky Ricardo singing their theme song! I did see a small elephant statue in the back, but it didn't look mountable. Parking was relatively easy in the complex, but it could be difficult to get out from the traffic light as it gets crowded often. Bubbalou makes a very good bbq. Sadly they lost some stores, but glad to see the Windermere branch is still there and offering great food. Since it's pretty close to my parents house, this would be my choice for great bbq in the Metrowest and Windermere area.

Yelp
I haven't been to bubbalou's bbq in years and decided to try it for dinner the other night. The food is OK nothing to rave or write home about . I remembered now why I stopped going to this place. The food is kind of bland. The service is good. The cashier made some recommendations since I hadn't been there for a while and I was grateful for that. The ambience is nice. You were able to sit down and enjoy your food.

Yelp
Great place for BBQ food, the person on the register, very nice and recommends good stuff. Not a place to come with not so much hunger, lol.... Great food! Nice ambience and good service, very clean place.

Yelp
I've been coming here for about 10 years now. It's always good! The sizes have gotten smaller but I think the food is always hot and exactly what you would want at a BBQ spot! Service is okay, ambiance is family friendly. Prices are decent. Lots of options! Love their sauces on the tables. High chairs available. Restrooms are a little sketch. Inside and outside seating available!

Yelp
First I want to say that some of the poor reviews you might read are NOT for this location, which sadly is the last remaining Bubbalou's in Orlando. This restaurant does not have drive-thru service. This restaurant is now owned by a gent who worked here and then purchased it from the previous owner. The changes have been remarkable. It is very clean, the service is very good, and it is very busy!!! My wife and I dined here again last night, and everything was perfect. We got there about 8:15--just 45 minutes prior to closing--and still everything was exceptional. As usual, she had the rib dinner, I had the brisket basket. Last night the brisket was the best I've ever eaten anyplace, anytime. It's usually good here, but on occasion the fat hasn't been trimmed well. Last night was incredible. We eat at a BBQ restaurant in Plant City, and it's pretty good. But not this good. If you like BBQ, you'll love Bubbalou's!!! BTW if you spend the time you'll find multiple reviews by me for this restaurant. Several years ago, under previous management, it was not good. I'm so glad this restaurant has this new owner!!!

Demetrius J.

Yelp
The food is ok the best thing their to me is there Brisket , I don't eat pork so can't judge the ribs they need to add beef ribs as well the chicken is to dry no flavor and the sides are to small fir the price and there not that good but it's the only spot close so I go but overall it's a 3 out 5 just ok.
google avatar

Blaze B.

Yelp
In the drive thru I ordered an any two meat combo (ribs and chicken) I confirmed the order was accurate. Even while being rushed waited for quite awhile, once I got home I realized the plates were not what I ordered and was charged the same price for less.
google avatar

Yelp
I came here on a Monday afternoon for some lunch and it did not disappoint! They have counter service and the people behind it were helpful and prompt! The BBQ had great flavor and the meat fell right off the bone for the ribs. There's a variety of sauces you can try. They all have great flavor, as a lover of spicy things-- the Killer was my favorite. Also a whole rib dinner with 4 sides for 19.99? That's an amazing deal, they have my continued business!

Yelp
Bubbalou can be very hit or miss - unfortunately, my latest visit was a miss. On this visit, I found that the sides lacked flavor and had gotten significantly smaller - for the same price. Both the macaroni & cheese and the green beans tasted like something that had been pre-made, heated, then served. I was pretty disappointed compared to the great food that was there before. The pulled pork was good, but very salty, who knows if it was that batch, but luckily the sauce hid the salt, but it was still a lot. Since this was an odd visit, I'll probably give them one more time to see if things go back to normal.

Yelp
Such a good staple bbq in Orlando! Been around for years and I appreciate it every time! Got the pulled pork and brisket!

Bhavna C.

Yelp
What a great place. The sausage was so well done. I loved the mashed potatoes and Mac and Cheese. The sides portions were kind of small though. Super friendly staff.

Yelp
DELICIOUS place with amazing food and bbq! The price is a bit hefty for what it is to be honest- but besides that it's delicious, not worth THAT much though. The atmosphere is great and it remains clean so great on that. Service is good people come and check on you and it's a nice feel.

Patrick M.

Yelp
The best ribs I've had in years!!! This place is a true gem. The staff is so friendly and go out of their way to make the experience a good one. Everything came out promptly and tasted delicious. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know and taking family there when they visit.

Yelp
Sad to say goodbye . Good bbq is so hard to find. Let the new Search begin. Gotta kiss lots of pigs before you land the loin.

Yelp
Took 6 folks to Bubba's last night. It was great as always. Got the 3 way ribs, pulled pork and sliced pork, corn muffins, slaw and Beans with two large slices of garlic bread. $21 Food was hot, fresh, excellent, great service, friendly, lots of parking, clean. I mixed a few sauces and dove in. The pulled pork was divine. The sliced pork was great and the two large ribs (Flintstone style) were awesome. Love their cole slaw and beans. Been coming here for 20 years and still great. Will return often. Thanx!

Yelp
Food is always delicious, the brisket is so yummy as well as the ribs. Pretty good sweet tea in the giant cups. Lots of bbq sauce to choose from. Good ambience for a bbq restaurant. Love this place! Also the fried pickles are one of the best around here, although a bit expensive but it is bbq so is to be expected

Yelp
St Louis style spare rib platter. Smoked to perfection. Side of collard greens, Cole slaw and baked beans. Hot Damn!!! That was awesome! Washed it down with Dr. Pepper. Service staff was polite and friendly. Dining area was clean and tidy.

Yelp
Found this bbq spot on Yelp while traveling for work and decided to stop and try it. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The ambiance was just right. Super clean restaurant. The food was EXCELLENT, so was the service. Good ole fashion BBQ done right! Thanks for having me guys, will be back! Highly recommend.

Yelp
An Orlando staple, with pretty decent BBQ. Rustic decor, fast causal service, indoor and outdoor seating at picnic tables. My hubby had the chicken and ribs combo, it tasted great. I went for the Texas brisket. It tasted good. Dinner comes with four sides - garlic bread, fries, beans and coleslaw. We will be back

Yelp
My whole family liked the food except my mother. She thought the meat was too greasy and didn't like the sauces. However everyone else in the family liked it. The service was friendly and quick. And the restaurant looked pretty nice like a small bbq joint.

Yelp
Came here the other day for dinner with my in-laws for Father's Day. Father in law is a huge barbeque fan and he wanted to go somewhere that had good reviews so we ended up here. Upon walking in the front door, we walked up to the cashier who took our orders. Each of us ordered the rib dinner which came with a side of beans, coleslaw, fries and garlic bread. We also ordered corn nuggets and Mac and cheese bites as well for an appetizer. The cashier got our drink orders wrong. We asked for 1 sweet tea and 1 coke, but instead got unsweetened tea. When we told him this, he argued back and said" I heard 3 unsweetened tea" We looked at him confused because if we "ordered 3 unsweetened tea " then why we only got 2 drinks? If that was the case , we should have 3 beverages ... NOT 2. He just came across as argumentative. I didn't like that. Anyways, the rest of our orders came out and I was expecting more based on the 4 star rating of this BBQ joint. The corn nuggets were good.. texture was very cheesy...just the way I like it. Fries and garlic bread were just meh. Coleslaw was just okay. Ribs were huge but kind of dry but it did have a nice flavor. The beans were delicious however, which I thought was the best thing on the menu. The kitchen staff were very friendly. As they brought out food for the other diners, they made sure to check up on us to see if we needed any refills on our "sweet tea". The cashier made his way around as well.. but by this time, I was already over it. For me, the experience was just average and the food was okay. I've had better BBQ at other joints. I still haven't found the best BBQ yet in Orlando.I was hoping that Bubbalous would win me over but it didn't. I don't think I'd come back here and it's a shame because I really wanted to like this place.

Yelp
My mother and I were craving BBQ for dinner, so we decided to come in to eat at an old favorite we hadn't had in quite some time: Bubbalou's. The ambiance is super casual, country, and comfortable, and the service is friendly and helpful. It took a while to get our food, but it was worth the wait. We shared the pulled pork dinner, which comes with garlic bread, coleslaw, fries, and baked beans, as well as ordered a side of collard greens with cornbread. Everything arrived hot and was flavorful and delicious. Just what we wanted! It was the perfect amount to share. We always love mixing the bbq sauces: sweet, mild, hot, and killer. There is also mustard, ketchup, and hot sauce on the table. So glad we made it in this evening! Thank you for serving us.

Yelp
Food is made to order. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. There is seating outside. The service is good and they are helpful when ordering.

Yelp
Had to take away a star from my last review. BBQ is still the best thing on the menu. Can't go wrong with pork, brisket, or ribs. Expensive wings were very fatty and "hot" isn't hot at all. It is a mild buffalo at best. They were large in size with mostly skin and fat. Pickle chips were so salty, they were inedible. Fries were undercooked. Maybe just an off night.

Widtz C.

Yelp
this is one of the best bbq place in Orlando. I like to order the chicken and ribs dinner which comes with 4 sides.
google avatar

Ronee A.

Yelp
I liked this place. It's a little quick service hole in the wall bbq place with a variety of meat options including gator! The Texas brisket was really good and chicken was good too. Lots of sauce options on the tables as you can expect with a bbq stop. The decor is eclectic and fun to look at. Sides were good. I got beans and fries. It's pretty close to me so will probably be my new go to place for bbq!

Yelp
Had to come back again. This time I had sweet wings, collard greens and potato salad. The aroma of this place draws you in. The wings were absolutely delicious. The Potatoe salad had nice flavor.

Yelp
It has been years since I have visited a Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que and even longer since I have been to this particular location. My go-to Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que location was always the one on Alafaya Trail on the east side of Orlando, but that location had closed years ago (coincidentally, I drove by it the other day and it had a fresh paint of white paint, so I guess something new will be opening there). My son and I were on this side of town and it was lunch time, so we saw this and it was an obvious choice for both of us. This Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que location is in a strip mall. It does have a great vibe and despite there being a line, we were at the counter in a relatively short amount of time and after placing our orders and taking a seat, our food was brought to us in again, a relatively speedy amount of time. My son ordered a chicken gizzard sandwich with french fries and extra garlic bread and I had a lamb sandwich with baked beans and Brunswick stew. When our food got to us, it appeared that my son made the better choice. I tried one of the gizzards and they were exceptional. My lamb was good, however, it was a bit skimpy and I have had better lamb. Still, not a bad sandwich. The pulled pork was great at Bubbalou's (and my son assures me that it is still great). I always loved their chicken dinner, as well. For their barbecue sauces, they have several. Since I like spicy, my go-to is their Killer sauce. It is really good. They also have mild barbecue sauce, sweet barbecue sauce, mustard barbecue sauce and hot barbecue sauce (not as hot as their Killer barbecue sauce). My son and I will be back on that side of town again in a few weeks and we have already said we will be going here again. Next time I will be having the gizzards. I was hoping that they would have it as an appetizer, but it looks like you can only get it as a sandwich or as a sandwich basket. Oh well. Maybe we can get a sandwich to split and toss the bun and make it as an appetizer. That way, I can get the pulled pork or their chicken. Anyway, I would definitely recommend here and as I write (or type) this, I lament the lost time that I had not been here. I will give it five stars () and again, I definitely recommend a visit here. I look forward to my next trip to this Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que. Next time you ate in the mood for barbecue, check this place it out. I daresay that this is one of, if not the best barbecue place here in Orlando.

Yelp
Started with gator bites. When in Florida, ya know!?! Then came the brisket and spareribs. Tendet and smoky. Sides were baked beans, stew, potato salad and 2 cornbread rolls. all great. #spicemeister approved. Try the hot bbq sauce!
google avatar

Curly S.

Yelp
On a positive note Bubbalous off Conroy has GREAT customer service. They are extremely friendly and nice. The portions have become very small for the price. 8 pieces of gizzards as a "basket" item for almost $11.00 isn't fair. Not only the gizzards but the brisket is also small portioned and overpriced. A basket should be full of gizzards. I've never purchased gizzards from an establishment and received 8. Gizzards aren't even an expensive meat. I feel it's unacceptable and your establishment should consider looking into either lowering your price OR offering more product to your customers.
google avatar

Michelle E.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. The ribs were fall off the bone and the pork & brisket were Amazing. Give this place a 10 out of 10. If I lived in Orlando this would be a regular spot for me.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Ok I'm giving my review based off two things, Texas BBQ and what BBQ is. These folks sale BBQ which is meat cooked under a distressed heat, char and smoke. I give it to em, they make BBQ for Florida. Brisket was good and tender, but the two things that got me was the deli sliced type turkey and the brand sausage they used. Turkey only by my opinion and lots of others I know believe that sliced smoke turkey that's cut deli style is great on bread. However; serving sliced smoked turkey on a place should be thick cut like chicken breast and this was missing the essence of that for us and I've heard this before about this place. It probably works for them and the locals so I apologize if it doesn't fit. Secondly, you have three basics of BBQ and that's poultry, beef and sausage. If you're gonna smoke sausage choose the sausage that has solid casing to maintain moisture and grit. A good grind of beef and pork mixture. The sausage here was not my favorite. It reminded me of a giant piece of a hotdog . Again it's cooked like open flame BBQ meaning that your meat will lose taste due to flame exposure. Same for the chicken with skin on it, it looks like over exposure to the sun. The most important piece of BBQ is letting smoke love your meat and using the heat as the blanket to maintain the cooking period.

Yelp
(12/12/2023) we came to celebrate a birthday on a weeknight. There was a brisk takeout business going on. Unfortunately in the day we were there, someone had come in and bought up all the chicken on the bone. I'm a sucker for a platter with all the things, so I had the Bubbalou's Special (subbed sausage for the chicken). It came with a choice of 4 sides. I had the Texas Caviar (very tart, lots of celery and red onion, the black-eyed peas were hard), collards (tender, bitter), Mac 'n' cheese (creamy, Velveeta), potato salad (solid). Ribs, with their nice deep smoke ring, and smoked sausage (juicy) were the best. Brisket and pulled pork were a little dry. Overall comment was portions were pretty small for the price for the sandwiches, at least (see brisket sandwich, for example). Staff were friendly enough. It took quite some time to get any food, seems like a back of the house delay. "Killer" sauce was flavorful, not really hot. Other sweet sauces were very sweet. Overall, it was mostly just OK.

Yelp
We tried this spot recently via Uber Eats delivery. My boyfriend was craving barbecue and had been to one of their other locations in the past. I'd heard good things about Bubbalou's, so I was excited to try them out. We both chose a pick two combo. I chose pulled pork for one of my meats since it's always the first thing I try from any barbecue joint, and for my second I ventured outside of my norm and chose baby back ribs. My sides were mac and cheese and collard greens (also came with coleslaw). My boyfriend got pulled pork and sausage with fries, baked beans, and coleslaw. Meals also come with two slices of garlic bread so you definitely get a lot of food! The pulled pork had a really nice flavor even before adding their sweet BBQ sauce. The sauce is tasty and compliments the pork nicely. The baby back ribs were the star of the show for me. I'm not usually a huge fan of ribs, but these were fall off the bone tender and delicious. I also sampled the sausage which was yummy. The sides were just okay for me. The collard greens had a bit of a sweet flavor that I didn't prefer, and the mac and cheese had a good flavor, but was a bit dry in my opinion. Neither were bad by any means, just not mind blowing. With barbecue though, the meat is the important part and Bubbalou's certainly does it well. I'd definitely order from here again the next time a barbecue craving sets in!

Yelp
Great BBQ that tastes just like home cooked. Their hot sauce is amazing and food always comes out piping hot!

Yelp
Top 5 best catfish Ive had. Meaty, juicy, cooked perfectly. Brisket was Top 3 worst brisket Ive ever had. Disgusting--almost as bad as the brisket at the Las Vegas Airport that they keep in a vat of warm water since its not fresh at all. This was tough, greasy, flavorless. Its very much inedible. Tried the turkey but I cant tell if its store bought or they smoked it themselves. Not great but not bad either. Loved the gator bites. Could use more seasoning. Corn nuggets were burned. So not great. Not their best swing today. I was hoping for more.

Yelp
This was a great find! Business is popping inside and can be clearly seen as there is always someone ordering something by the cashier. We are not local to Florida and got gator bites - which were so tasty!! We also got the shrimp/rib combo - which is pretty good deal. $20 for a platter of the two with 4 sides. The mac and cheese Is also really good!! If I ever come back to Orlando, I would come here all the time!!

Yelp
The pulled pork was room temperature. Not hot as you would have expected for the price. Side dishes very small (tasting size). For the price, the quality and food amount was poor. It however, is not a full service restaurant and more of a quick drop in. I tried it many years ago and we always go back to our staple BBQ place of Sonny's.

Yelp
This place is located super close to Universal so we went after spending the day at the park and it was nice to get away from a super touristy area and just go to a more local non-chain place. When we got in there were a bunch of people in front of the counter waiting to pick up orders in place orders but the staff moved through everyone extremely quickly and accurately so we didn't wait long to place our order. The food was good it just wasn't amazing. So the garlic bread I just tasted like buttered bread the macaroni and cheese was good the big beans were actually my favorite thing that I had that night. They were super flavorful and really yummy. I think I should've ordered the grilled chicken because it wasn't that great. The service was super sweet though they messed up I guess an online order so they brought us a side of fried okra that would have otherwise been wasted. The restaurant required masks to order but you can obviously take it off when you were eating.

Yelp
what an amazing BBQ joint with great quality, authenticity and juicy food! I must say, this is the second time I come here and it was better than the first time. I definitely think they stepped it up since 2016. The changes would be the portion, freshness and friendliness of the employees. These portions were actually a normal and a pinch over a regular meal size, it was very filling and the food was very fresh and juicy with great savory flavors. The pull pork was just delicious and very well served. I must say, the collard greens were delicious but I had better lol. The salad was just amazing and well worth the price. Back in the day, the portion was inadequate for the price and it tasted good BUT didn't taste like it was fresh. But boy, this time around, I didn't think I ever came here! It was just that different in overall quality. I left filled and satisfied. The employees were very efficient, helpful and attentive. The wait time to get your food has not changed. It does take awhile, maybe 15 mins for you to get your food. Other than that, the food is not disappointing. If you wanna save some cash, it's best to order a meal with the two sides. A side for $3 in a small container that should be plate appropriately sized, in my opinion, I think you're being jipped!

Yelp
I had a take out order. Baby back ribs, sausages and brisket. The food is good. My son finished the entire rib by himself although he ordered brisket. So basically baby back rib was good but brisket was not as good. But dry. Casual dinning place. Picnic tables and outdoor sitting area.

Yelp
I'm from the Midwest where barbecue is excellent this is probably the closest thing I could find to Kansas City style barbecue,, I only wish they had burnt ends..

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience. After a weary, tiring day, it was an oasis for us. We were greeted by Gilmer who was great at explaining the menu. We were treated like family. We had the fried pickles, wings and brisket/pork platters. Portions are very generous and the food was excellent. We will be back next time we are in Orlando.

Yelp
Amazing TURKEY! Barbecue Turkey I should say... the best turkey I've ever had. I really dislike turkey. Now ever since coming here any other turkey has been ruined for me. We purchased this turkey for our school pot luck and we had everyone licking their fingers from how delicious it was. *one thing I do suggest is including any kind of sauce with it for the price.
