9 Dreamy Bubble Hotels and Airbnbs Around the World - AFAR

"Perched above the vast Capertee Valley in New South Wales, each of three transparent bubbles offers wake-up views over a canyon wider than the Grand Canyon and excellent bird-watching among some 237 species. Bubbles come with a wood-fired tub, firepit and telescope, and guests can learn about Aboriginal astronomy at night; cooking equipment is provided but visitors should bring food and drink, with the Mudgee wine region less than an hour away for supplies or tastings." - Lyndsey Matthews, Maya Kroth

What an amazing experience! My partner Jack surprised me with this weekend getaway for my birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. He’d hinted at “glamping” from the packing list he gave me, but when we arrived, I was speechless. We stayed in the “Pisces” tent, which was well worth the splurge. It had all the comforts - air con, soft sheets, and a rotating bed with LED lights while still feeling like real camping, with cooking over the fire, an outdoor bath, and nature all around us. The views were spectacular, and the setup felt like camping in the future. Waking up to baby goats circling our tent was the perfect way to end our stay, and we loved the handwritten signs around the property that made everything feel so personal. Thanks so much for the amazing stay! We will 100% be returning and recommending it to all our friends and family. We genuinely loved every moment!

I got this experience for two nights for a surprise weekend away for my boyfriend’s birthday and it definitely didn’t disappoint! ||The welcome pack says that a 4wd is recommended and we agree, there’s a fair few pot holes on the drive out, but it’s only a short drive off road. Then once you arrive at the tent it feels very isolated and private with unreal views that never get old. The bubble and kitchen area have everything you need for an awesome “glamping” experience. Plenty of firewood for the fire pit and heated outdoor bath, games and the Virgo tent had aircon too, which we felt was definitely worth the extra cost as it got very cold when the sun went down in the middle of winter (might be different in summer). The hiking was fun, the first lookout being a highlight for us and plenty of animals to see along the way. |The outdoor shower (heated) was another highlight, easily the coolest shower we’ve ever had! |Pack thermals and plenty of warm clothes if you’re going at a similar time. We’d also recommend getting most of the cooking and food prep for meals done before it gets dark as it’s low lighting (a few head torches and lanterns) to get the most out of the star gazing. So when it gets dark it’s nice just to sit around the fire and enjoy some beers and marshmallows. Again it might be different in summer when the sun sets much later. |The “caretaker” is also there for any questions and suggestions and responds straight away to every message. ||Overall couldn’t rate this experience enough, must do!

We have been travelling for 30 years and never stayed at a more amazing place than Bubbletent - warm bed after piping hot shower, with hot choc, gazing thru the tent's roof using the telescope supplied at the breathtaking star-filled skies and Milky Way above the Capertee Valley! Truly an incredible experience. The tent's see-thru roof gave a really awe-inspiring view of the Milky Way. Next day saw kangaroos, eagles, & a wombat. Fantastic experience all round, a relaxing world away from all the weekdays' worries. We'll definitely be back in Spring!

Our stay at the Ophiuchus Bubble Tent was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported to another world — one filled with peace, wonder, and breathtaking natural beauty. The bubble itself was spotless, beautifully styled, and surprisingly spacious. Nestled in a secluded location, it offered the perfect blend of comfort and immersion in nature. Watching the sunset melt into the landscape and falling asleep beneath a sky full of stars — all from the comfort of our bed — was an unforgettable experience. The attention to detail was impeccable. From the luxurious bedding and thoughtful amenities to the cozy firepit and stunning outdoor bath, every element was designed with relaxation and romance in mind. Waking up to birdsong and panoramic views was the cherry on top. If you’re looking for a unique, soul-nourishing getaway, Ophiuchus is an absolute must. We left feeling recharged, inspired, and already planning our return. 🌿 10/10 — a bucket-list experience we’ll treasure forever.

Well, I will definitely be returning to this amazing spot . What a great facility, business, luxury Lamping experience. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely do it again. We had the opportunity to stay in oculus and it was fantastic. We loved the rotating bed, and seeing the stars through the bubble was super clear. Facilities were very very clean, showers were warm, and the kitchen was very usable I do recommend bringing quality coffee with you however the team at Bubble tent have definitely created an experience. I can recommend to anyone. Check this out . Great towns around it, but the canyon view is incredible.

What an excellent glamping experience! We stayed in Orphiucus this weekend, the dome and facilities were excellent. Kitchen, hot shower, flushing toilet, spectacular views and, ah the serenity! ||Directions to the sight were perfect, no issues.||We had a slight hiccup with the lighting on the first night, but the team were easy to contact, and one of the caretakers fixed the problem quickly, and was lovely.||It was perfect to relax in the tree house with wine, cheese and a good book, followed by an afternoon soak in the Swedish bath. The bath wasn't too hard to start and heat... it did take a while to heat, but we had nothing to do and no-where to be.||The dome cover was fairly easy to get on and off, I'm a 60 year old, short, round woman... I managed to do it.||At night, once the lights were out, it was exactly like sleeping under the stars but in a nice cosy bed, couldn't see the dome at all.||Would totally recommend this to anyone wanting a unique getaway. Sonny and the team have done an excellent job. Thank you.

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay in Bubbletent 'Virgo'. From the initial booking process to our departure day we were thoroughly looked after. The customer service provided by Bubbletent Australia is the absolute best I have experienced from a tourism provider. Everything has been thought of, from the videos included in the welcome pack to the messages provided during our stay, the attentiveness is first class. The view from our bubbletent was breathtaking. I arranged for the outside bath to be ready on our arrival and ready it was. Sitting in the bath looking out at the valley views is a memory I'll treasure. Looking up at the stars through the dome and waking to a beautiful sunrise all from the comfort of your bed is incredible. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience. The area is very private and all you really need to pack is food and clothes (clothes optional I guess 😅), the road in is a little rough but any vehicle can make it if you take it easy. This is the perfect place to relax, unwind and unplug from reality.

This was one of those unique "out of this world" experiences that i'll never forget. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and that feeling of privacy was incredible. The team were super helpful and provided loads of useful info in the lead up to the stay. Was honestly surprised to see some negative reviews, as this was definitely not our experience! The bit that took the cake though? That moment your head hit the pillow and you stared up at a sky full of stars, it's a surreal and amazing feeling. They're definitely going for something a bit more unique and different - and we loved it!|To prove that this is a genuine review, only criticism was that you need to be prepared that it is a remote property (however this also added to the beauty and uniqueness of the adventure!). We'll definitely be coming back!
